  Go to start / Control Panel / Internet Options / Advanced section then check the top box rendered = software use instead of gpu rendering / apply then OK.

  This is the default setting for the screen light up when you receive a call. He normally only would light up not for other notifications. However, he is there, a program called 'Aerize alerts Email' that creates small pop up alerts when you receive messages. • 3rd generation ipod white screen

  I know it's old, but working well... so far.  White screen.  It is recognized by itunes when plugged into the computer.  Restored successfully on the itunes screen, always white.  Tried the fix with holding home and power button.  Tried to hold the House, volume and power.  Screen remains white.

  My question - is all hope gone and I must finally remove this ipod?  It's been great and it's a sudden death - hard to see it go.

  The 3rd gen iPod "classic" has a great sound.  If you tried to do a restore already, its likely to be a hardware problem, unfortunately.

  These older iPods are easier to repair because they are assembled from items separated and not so integrated and miniaturized.  My work 3rd generation iPod was reassembled broken iPods that I bought on eBay, by swapping pieces.  The screen is not the thing that is broken, most of the time.  If you are somewhat technically inclined, you can remedy.  You can post back for more information.

• End of 2015 iMac 27 inches 5K screen lights up when the "sleep mode"

  When the iMac is in "standby", sometimes the display lights for a while and then turns back off the coast. Screen does not completely, simply turn the backlight (it's like when you see a black image with the high brightness level).

  Try the following.

  With the laptop off, remove the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the power button for a minute.  Plug the power adapter (leave the battery) and see if the laptop boots.

I watched the Adaptive brightness Meanwhile and I must say that it works really well, but it is so sensitive that any movement in a different direction where is the difrent brightness changes, so if I'm in a place with a few different intensities of light I need to put the mobile in the direction it's better (as I am I have a place with the light above me) (, but behind it is less the sensor takes a bit less, I hope it's a good explanation).   Dell ionsipion 1525-VISTA OS - computer when asking to start the normallyor launch startup repair... .errors will not fix, go to the windows... page only the microsoft corporation and bar shows - lights on the bars are moving.  If I hit f8 and try to start in safe mode-sfe mode freezes while it loads the drivers - if I try the system restore, it says I have a corupt file and when I run disc chk it says all files are OK but then it asks me for another disc that i have not... any ideas

  If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

  Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

  Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1^st in the boot order.

  Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

  When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

• T61 screen light screen T61P much dimmer what's happening here?

  Have a T61 with resolution max 1920 X 1200, Nvidia GPU of 140.  OS is Vista Ultimate...  The screen is very bright

  Also have a T61P with resolution of 1920 X 1200 Nvidia FX 570 M GPU max.  Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate.  The screen is much lower.

  1. the fact that I have a higher resolution on the T61P account for the screen inverter?

  2. a dimmer screen means the backlight is bad on the T61P. ?

  Have seen the ads on Ebay for new lighting.   It looks like a real pleasure time to install a.

  Screen is not as dark as I can't read but it is much less bright than the T61 with a lower resolution.

  Also if I change the resolution on the T61P actual screen size shrinks vertically and/or horizontally.

  What gives?

  New settings BIOS display normal high and the screen on the T61P became much brighter.

  A lot of things is not easily visible on these Thinkpads.

  Wish Lenovo would publish a comprehensive guide to all parameters and pitfalls.  Would be a help to many questions.
