iPod Classic disconnection as soon as I connect it

Hi all, I have an iPod Classic 160 GB. I recently changed my computer and I have encountered a few problems since. I could always do something, but this morning I wanted to sync my iPod, and as soon as I connect it, it disconnects without syncing. Sometimes iTunes displays a message on my iPod can be damaged, but I'm not sure what I can do about it...

Thanks a lot for your help and your answers!

Previously (before "this morning"), have you managed to connect the iPod and sync content with iTunes on this computer?  Currently, the iPod is still appear in iTunes when it is connected to log?

I plugged my Ipod classic to my laptop to synchronize with Itunes and it went through all the processes as usual except at the end he came with an error message saying that the synchronization has failed. I retried the sync and got the same message. I unplugged the Ipod to see it wiped all content except the games. This laptop is configured to synchronize with the original computer. When I plug the Ipod in it now it sends ITunes in a mode of constantly trying to connect and says it is connected to the screen, but when you check the PC it says that itunes does not. The image of the Ipod appears in the top corner but everything is blocked, you cannot click on anything whatsoever or to scroll at all. Once the cursor sitting there in the way of thinking for 20 minutes and then came with this message.

Unfortunately I can't ITunes to answer so I can not even the Summary tab to restore. Any help would be greatly appreciated I have to travel in two days and really want to go with. Thanks in advance.

  • iPod Classic disconnect iTunes 12

Finally managed to transfer content to iTunes from my old PC to my new iMac (yay!) - thanks for your help here

However, after you have added a few new music (from CDs) tried to sync with my iPod (an old 160 GB classic).

Once connected, iTunes I select options to sync music. I get a message "Sync iPod - do not disconnect" and the synchronization process starts.

After a few seconds, the clock stops, I get the color circle of spinning of death for 2-3 minutes and the message "Disc not properly ejected" and the desktop for my iPod icon disappears (that is disconnected, I guess)

Reading autour, it sounds like it may be a software problem? Someone can confirm or is there a solution?

    Thank you

Regarding the iPod being ejected and error message (when it shouldn't), select the iPod in iTunes, to show its settings screen.  On the settings of the iPod summary screen, there is a setting to allow the use of the disc.  As a test, if this check box is not already checked, check mark and click apply.  Then try to synchronize again.  If that gets rid of the error (with no eject does not correctly), but your new songs will not sync to iPod, your iPod may not configured to use automatic synchronization.  Please post back for more information.

  • Windows xp home edition. The computer disconnects as soon as I connect.

This happens in normal mode and safe mode.  I just removed a serious computer virus using avg 9.0.  I had win antivirus 2010 on this subject.  before removing the virus, it was blue screen of death.  Now go to the Welcome screen.  When I choose a user name, however, you séwé office for a few seconds then return to the Welcome screen and it says loggiong out, saving settings.  AVG deleted 13 threats overall.  I scanned it while it is installed as a drive e: in another computer, as it has not been able to start the operating system with the blue screen of death.  I tried a repair of xp install.  I tried creatinging a new copy of userinit.exe.  Always the same question.

AVG did not completely remove your malware. Use this guide:

  • How can I turn on iCloud library music on my iPod Classic 180 GB

I have an iPod Classic 180 GB which I only use in the car.

When I try to transfer the Playlist of 'Music Apple' I get the following message

I can't find an option on my iPod Classic to turn on iCloud music library.

    If someone can advise?

I suspect that the answer will be that the iPod Classic doesn't support Apple's music

I'll be disappointed if I can't do it. Pay £15 a month for music from Apple, but not being is not able to use my iPod Classic in the car with her will suck...

Well, it's more fundamental than that... iPod classic doesn't have an Internet connection, so there is no way to access your music to iCloud library.  And it does not support downloads of music by Apple (song subscribed files you can download Music from Apple), because it can not verify your subscription (no Internet connection) as required by the content producers.  only iPod that can play songs music from Apple's iPod touch, because it is an iOS with Internet, like the iPhone and the iPad device.

  • iPod classic connects to the computer

    Hello

I have an iPod classic, since 2005.

It will charge from the grid, but when you plug it into the computer it does nothing... Does not make a noise, does not load... Nothing, only thing that happens is that when you disconnect the computer screen lights illuminates... tried all USB ports, still is not, tried 3 computers, does not work on any...

so I tried 2 more iPods, an iPod classic in 2004 and it worked fine. Tried an iPod nano of 2007 once again absolutely worked well...

really annoying me now that I want to sync music on the classic...

tried resetting the iPod, tried to run in the other mode keeping the home button and menu, press the button home-and play... None of them worked either

When you "recharge sector" (which I assume means an adapter of any), are you using the docking cable that you use with the computer?  When you connect iPod from 2004 and 2007 iPod nano to the computer, you use the same USB docking cable used with the iPod in 2005?

Is the power supply adapter ("hands") accomplice of old load powering FireWire supported, not USB load?  Accessories older load use FireWire instead of USB charging, which has a different voltage and uses different "pins" on the dock connector.  An iPod from 2005 (probably a 5th generation "video" iPod) to connect to the computer via a USB port, but it can recharge using the USB or FireWire power.

If you can confirm that the port host USB cable to connect the iPod in 2005 is good, my guess is that the 2005 iPod dock connector will not properly connect to USB power.  It can be worn or damaged.  Therefore, it does not connect to the USB port on the computer.  However, it always connects to FireWire, so she received the adapter (which feeds the FireWire).

Use a flashlight to look inside the iPod dock connector, to visually check for damage, corrosion, dust or debris.

  • iPod Classic not recognized whan connected to iTunes and related issues

Whenever I connect my iPod classic to iTunes (Windows 10) is not recognized. iTunes then freezes after awhile of trying, it is recognized by iTunes. You can see everything on the iPod, but you cannot synchronize. Then I have to restore the iPod, but you can not recharge music etc. as the sync box has been ticked in the recent update. Then you can charge all your music which takes about 8 hours. WHY! Is this because Apple won't use their classic iPod more or what.

  • iTunes freezes when iPod Classic is connected

Today, I put music on my iPod Classic 160 gb... the files transferred and I just change some information in iTunes at the same time and iTunes froze and then I had to reboot the computer... now two things happen:

    1. the music on my iPod has been cleared of her. All my music is still on my computer/iTunes works fine

    2. when I connect the classic iPod to my computer, rather than recognize the device and let me put music on the iPod, iTunes hangs and I have to force it quit.

The iPod appears in the Finder as a connected device, but iTunes implode everytime I connect the iPod. Help?

Edit: Just went to the part of the iPod... on the second screen it says 81.5 used Go, 67.3 'About' free... and then below that under songs and artists etc it says just 0. If something hit irrelevant... is there a way to format just the iPod without using iTunes to do?

  • iPod classic. PC I have had all my music on died. can I connect iPod to my new Mac Office and store the music on the iPod in the cloud?

I have an iPod classic 5th generation which has all my music on it. I had an old office that was on original music and he's dead. Now, I have a Mac desktop and other products, apple, iPhone, apple tv, Mac laptop, etc.  How can I get the music from classic iPod in the cloud so I can access it on all my other devices?

Ideally, you have a backup of your user data from your old computer, including your iTunes data, and you can transfer data from iTunes on your Mac.

By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from the iTunes library on your computer to the iPod.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer files of song from iPod to computer, with the exception of songs purchased on the iTunes Store (you can also re - download on iTunes Store free of charge).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links.  Once the files of the song on the drive of your Mac, add them to your current iTunes library.

If you want to make your library iTunes music accessible to other computers and devices (compatible), you own, you need to subscribe to Match iTunes (or Apple's music) gives you a library music to iCloud.

And since you are using a Mac now, don't forget TSF function built-in Time Machine an external drive, allows you to save all your data automatically.  (iPods are not intended for backup data iTunes).

  • iPod Classic does not appear in iTunes

My macbook release 10.9.5. iTunes (version 12.1) does not recognize my iPod classic Model # MB147LL version 1.2.2PC. I tried to reboot, reset, update, but it will not recognize to sync the iPod. My computer recognizes the iPod but not iTunes.

The latest version of iTunes (12.5.1) should work on OS X 10.9.5.  Is there a reason that you are using an older version of iTunes.  A classic iPod should work with even older versions of iTunes, but there may be a problem with the specific version you have (fixed in a later version).

If update does not help (or if you don't want to update iTunes), given that the iPod is recognized by the system, it seems to have a data connection.  Try to put the iPod in Disk Mode.

How to put your iPod in disc - Apple Support mode

Before you connect iPod, stop (power off) MacBook and disconnect all the USB devices.  Plug the MacBook power adapter (so it does not work on battery).  Startup MacBook, launch iTunes and connect the iPod (in disc Mode) on a USB direct on MacBook, by himself.

If he picks up iTunes, it should invite you to do a restore with a message on the "recovery."  This erases the iPod, so if you're OK with that (because the content of the iPod is in your iTunes library), do the restore.  If all goes well, the iPod appears in iTunes (normally) after the restoration.

  • iPod Classic will not mount in OS 10.4.11

    Greetings friends,

When I connect my iPod 160 GB Classic on my Mac G4 Desktop, the iPod does not rise. iTunes will not open and the iPod does not appear when I open iTunes manually, but the iPod screen shows that it is connected and synchronize for a brief moment. The screen of the iPod drives me to eject before disconnecting, but he does not appear in iTunes or on the desktop. Running OS 10.4.11 on my Mac G4. Everything worked fine, but then one day it just is not. Help, please. I'm afraid to reset for fear that I have lost all my music, photos, contacts and he still couldn't climb.

    Peace,

    JG

Try another known good cable and/or look for lint in the docking port that may be interfering with the connection. See also corrupt and iPod Classic.

  • iPod classic 160 GB will not appear in iTunes

My iPod Classic 160 GB stopped suddenly appears in iTunes yesterday. He always shows up on my computer, however. I tried to reset my iPod. Then I tried to restart my computer and iPod. Then I tried to update the software from my computer and iTunes. Then I tried to put the iPod in disk mode. Then, I even completely removed iTunes and reinstalled on my Mac. Nothing I've tried has worked.

Fact the iPod still works correctly as an iPod when disconnected (play songs)?

Then, I even completely removed iTunes and reinstalled on my Mac.

Since you are using a Mac, and iTunes is part of the standard installation, how your "remove iTunes completely?  What version of Mac OS X do you run on Mac?

Then I tried to put the iPod in disk mode.

Specifically, what happens when you run iTunes on Mac and then connect the iPod in Disk Mode?  What is the iPod screen say when you connect?
