iPod classic does not cool

I just bought for my old Mercedes C300 universal media Interface, and it came with iPod Classic.

It's OK then that plugged into the car / wall usb, but it does not cool (it will immediately stop after disconnect), and it cannot load (power lights, flashing screen) where to connect to the computer / macbook.

I thought that I should replace the battery. But I can solve this issue another way?

Chances are that a new battery will be called for. They do not last forever.

  • iPod Classic does not appear in iTunes

My macbook release 10.9.5. iTunes (version 12.1) does not recognize my iPod classic Model # MB147LL version 1.2.2PC. I tried to reboot, reset, update, but it will not recognize to sync the iPod. My computer recognizes the iPod but not iTunes.

The latest version of iTunes (12.5.1) should work on OS X 10.9.5.  Is there a reason that you are using an older version of iTunes.  A classic iPod should work with even older versions of iTunes, but there may be a problem with the specific version you have (fixed in a later version).

If update does not help (or if you don't want to update iTunes), given that the iPod is recognized by the system, it seems to have a data connection.  Try to put the iPod in Disk Mode.

How to put your iPod in disc - Apple Support mode

Before you connect iPod, stop (power off) MacBook and disconnect all the USB devices.  Plug the MacBook power adapter (so it does not work on battery).  Startup MacBook, launch iTunes and connect the iPod (in disc Mode) on a USB direct on MacBook, by himself.

If he picks up iTunes, it should invite you to do a restore with a message on the "recovery."  This erases the iPod, so if you're OK with that (because the content of the iPod is in your iTunes library), do the restore.  If all goes well, the iPod appears in iTunes (normally) after the restoration.

  • iPod Classic does not show music

It is a model of 160 GB of Genesis 6 I've had for several years without any problems before. Since a few days it has started planting iTunes when I plug, which means I can't synchronize. By force to close iTunes, I was able to format the drive and reinstall the OS via iTunes (which does not fear the device formatting), and it syncs as usual.

However the real kicker is that when I disconnect the device on the finish of the interface shows no music or any content at all. Plug back on both iTunes and Windows Explorer shows that it is full of music files can I open and play using it as a HARD disk, but the device interface says that there is nothing at all.

Several reformats, fresh installs and restarts of everything I think already tried. Any ideas?

  • IPod Classic does not recognize Itunes library after updating 12.4.1.6

After (sigh, unconsciously and unintentionally) update my Itunes 12.4.1.6 Macbook Pro, my Ipod Classic is as it does not recognize the Itunes Macbook is the parent library. I made a few additions to the Macbook Itunes playlists, but my Ipod sync... at least do not unintentionally erase all currents (gulp, 157 GB of data) and re-import the entire library again. Is there a way to get around this? I did have this problem - at least I don't remember having it-advance updates to Itunes, where the Ipod no longer recognizes the Itunes Macbook as his home library. I ran a "check disk" on the Macbook and Ipod, and they are both clean, no sign of corruption. FWIW, I use the laptop on Mavericks, OSX 10.9.5.

Did you have to add your media to the library after the update? See the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library.

  • iPod Touch does not have 6th gen.

So my 6th generation iPod Touch decided to completely brick itself. It is quite insensitive, appearing by all measures to be extinct. It does not have to be plugged into a charger or computer. I tested with several threads to make sure that's not the problem. All the buttons do nothing, no matter how long they are kept pressed. I seem unable to force it to turn it on (or stop, if it's just particularly good at playing dead) and can't seem to do anything but keep papers.

I did not anything out of the ordinary to cause damage, so I don't see why it would be brick suddenly like that. I am running the latest iOS with the updates so far. As far as I can tell, it's just death. Everyone knows a similar problem or have any ideas on how to fix it?

I'll try to get to an Apple store this week, but I guess they'll just replace. This isn't really a solution to the problem here. The problem is... it's the second time that this happens. When I bought my 6th Gen, he bricked within 72 hours. It is a common thing with the Gen 6 iPods or am I cursed? I really do not have to replace my iPod every 3 months.

The Apple Store is a good idea. You have restored iPod from a backup of the previous iPod? See if any of these articles get the operation of the iPod. • How can I make sure that my music on my Ipod Classic is not lost forever, if it breaks down?

How can I make sure that my library of music on my Ipod Classic is not lost forever, if it breaks down?

    Back it up.

Your music library should never exist only on your iPod.  It must be present on a computer in iTunes, and to be sure it must be saved on an external drive also.

If your library no longer exists on your computer for whatever, reason, you need to extract the iPod.

  • iPod Classic will not mount in OS 10.4.11

    Greetings friends,

When I connect my iPod 160 GB Classic on my Mac G4 Desktop, the iPod does not rise. iTunes will not open and the iPod does not appear when I open iTunes manually, but the iPod screen shows that it is connected and synchronize for a brief moment. The screen of the iPod drives me to eject before disconnecting, but he does not appear in iTunes or on the desktop. Running OS 10.4.11 on my Mac G4. Everything worked fine, but then one day it just is not. Help, please. I'm afraid to reset for fear that I have lost all my music, photos, contacts and he still couldn't climb.

    Peace,

    JG

Try another known good cable and/or look for lint in the docking port that may be interfering with the connection. See also corrupt and iPod Classic.

  • My iPod classic will not be synchronized since I iTunes game. Any suggestions?

My classic iPod sync since I bought iTunes game. Any suggestions?

What happens when you try?  If you get an error message, what does say?

In addition, select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click music.  Settings of music from the iPod screen is shown at right.  The checkbox to Sync music activates the automatic synchronization.  He is currently enabled?

NOTE: If he has not activated and check you it, all the songs of the iPod that are not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Checkmark Sync music, if it isn't already.  Below, if your library iTunes music can fit on your iPod, you can choose the option synchronize entire music library.  Then click apply.

  • My iPod Classic will not be synchronized with my new MacBook

I recently got a new MacBook Pro and uploaded on most of my old iTunes library to my new computer from my old computer (also a MacBook Pro, even though I had for almost 7 years).   I plugged my iPod 160GB Classic (running on 2.0.5) I had bought on iTunes to sync music, but he's not going on the iPod even if the music is displayed on my iTunes.  The iPod appears in iTunes and when I hit "sync" the screen of my iPod says that it is syncing, but nothing happens.  Nothing has been removed from the iPod, but in nothing added.  I still have the old MacBook, but I would stop using it, but of course, I want to be able to update my iPod with new content.  What should I do?

If the iPod is currently sync with the old MacBook, it syncs automatically for the new MacBook, unless you change this association.  iPods can use an automatic synchronization with iTunes at the same time the library, because sync ("synchronize") means iTunes prevents iPod identical to one iTunes library (or a portion of this library that you select).

You can set the iPod to automatically synchronize with the iTunes library on the new MacBook.  In the process, the iPod is deleted and the content of the new MacBook iTunes library is synced to iPod.

OR, you can transfer your iTunes full of the old MacBook to the new MacBook.  Then, iTunes on the new MacBook looks like iTunes on the old MacBook (with the exception of versions of iTunes-related changes) with ALL your songs (and other media) as well as supporting data, such as playlists, play count, ratings, date added, etc.  Your iPod may be seen as the iTunes library (on the new MacBook) same (old MacBook) iTunes library, because it IS the same iTunes library.

I think that it is better to transfer the full iTunes library...  This document describes how to back up your iTunes library on an external drive.

Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external drive - Apple Support

The first step "consolidating" your iTunes data in the iTunes folder, which is located in your folder music user account.  Mac, if you use the default settings in iTunes, all your iTunes data should already be in the iTunes folder to a user, but it does not hurt to do this step.  The second step copies the folder iTunes on an external drive. The third step restores the backup of the iTunes of the external drive folder. in your case, "restore you" (copy) for the new Mac to replace the iTunes folder that is there.  To do this with iTunes does NOT.  As you add new songs for the new iTunes folder, you must delete it not; Move it to a new location, such as the desktop.  Then copy the folder iTunes of the external drive instead.  When you run iTunes on the new MacBook, it uses this iTunes folder, which has your old MacBook iTunes data.

NOTE: You don't have to use an external drive, if you can set up file sharing between two MacBooks.  You can do the second and third steps in one fell swoop by copying the folder iTunes directly from old MacBook MacBook again.

After you confirm that all seems right in your iTunes library (restored), you can manually add everything that isn't there in the folder iTunes that you moved to the desktop.

  • iPod Classic will not sync with iTunes

I have a 30 GB iPod Classic model PA002LL. After the recent update, I can no longer sync my iPod with iTunes on Windows. It's not to recognize that the iPod is connect. I have already uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled to see if that could fix the problem, but I had no luck with that. However, the computer recognizes it because it will charge the unit.

What should I do so that it can synchronize? Thank you!

What antivirus software do you use? Norton does not play nice with iTunes at the moment for some.
