  • IPod nano not recognized by iTunes - 10 Windows

My new iPod Nano (7th generation) is not recognized by iTunes (version 12.3.2).  Windows 10 is pleased to recognize the Nano as a USB and I can copy files to the Nano using Windows Explorer.

When I open iTunes and connect the Nano screen Nano said that it is connected, windows 10 tells me that it is connected, but iTunes displays the message "an iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly.  Please disconnect and reconnect the IPod and try again. "

Tonight, I uninstalled iTunes, followed the instructions on the Apple support site to stop and restart the "Apple Mobile Device Service".  I also uninstalled the windows drivers, the computer uses and then reinstall the drivers, but the only ones that appear are the original windows ones.

In Device Manager, the iPod is listed in 3 places:

Hard drives - Apple iPod USB Device

    Mobile devices - IPOD

Apple Mobile Device USB Driver - universal series Bus controllers

Serial - USB Mass Storage Device Bus controllers

When I click on Player update "mobile devices - iPod" it tells me that "the driver software is up-to-date Volume filesystem driver. WPD

  • iPod Classic not recognized whan connected to iTunes and related issues

Whenever I connect my iPod classic to iTunes (Windows 10) is not recognized. iTunes then freezes after awhile of trying, it is recognized by iTunes. You can see everything on the iPod, but you cannot synchronize. Then I have to restore the iPod, but you can not recharge music etc. as the sync box has been ticked in the recent update. Then you can charge all your music which takes about 8 hours. WHY! Is this because Apple won't use their classic iPod more or what.

  • IPhone will not connect to itunes on Windows 10

Recently I noticed that whenever I try to connect my iPhone 5 c (with the USB cord) to my laptop (currently Windows 10) to sync all my music, it does not / is not recognized at all. I tried every different USB port, I tried:

    -Restart each device

    -Uninstall and reinstall iTunes

-Check for updates for both devices (whether they are for the program, drivers, or for each device itself, I.E. of IOS or Windows)

-Through the Apple website and followed all the troubleshooting guides (iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support)

I don't know what else to do or try, and I just want to listen to my music. Any help would be really appreciated.

The features are: iPhone 5 c, running on iOS 9.2; 10 Windows on a laptop

What # is clocked at iTunes version? Please don't say later, thanks to a number.

  • 5 Gen iPod will not sync with itunes 12 in 10.11.2

    Hello

I had a timing problem, where the my iPod Gen 5 has not been recognized under Yosemite anymore. Upgrade to El Capitan - all worked ok until the first OS / X update for 10.11. Now, iTunes 12.3.1.23 as the iPod is not recognized.

I've tried resets and hard disk mode - nothing has worked.

To work around this situation, I ended up installing iTunes on a virtual 10 Windows on the same Mac computer. 10 Windows VM detects the iPod correctly and I am able to sync after that I added all the music and books audio to iTunes for Windows library.

But, I want to turn on my Mac and have the Mac with iTunes for Mac OS sync my iPod. He worked for many years without problems.

So, I want to come back under Mac OS, re-formatting, and sync as usual.

Anyone have any idea why the rMAc fo iTunes is not recognizing iPod, iTunes for Windows works?

iPod classic, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2), iPod Gen 5

    Information module,

the system log shows that these entries:

10.12.15 15:32:38, 701 SystemUIServer [812]: try to set a time of iPods, if I don't have any client user.

10.12.15 15:32:41, SystemUIServer 605 [812]: try to set a time of iPods, if I don't have any client user.

Bus USB recognizes the iPod correctly and Parallels virtual machine also. The instance of iTunes in the Windows virtual machine recognizes everything is fine.

Just iTunes 12.3.1.23 under native Mac OS / X 10.11.2 is not!

  • My iPod cannot be identified in itunes and it is not visible in my computer.

I have a brand new iPod nano 5th generation and an operating system of windows XP with service pack 3 on my laptop.  I installed the latest version of itunes and when I plug my ipod in my computer, as expected, itunes opens, but an error message comes up saying:

"An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly.  Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod and try again. »

The iPod is not visible in 'My computer', although when I plugged it for the first time the usual Hardware Wizard came and said that the equipment has been properly installed and ready for use.
I have contacted Apple support and traversed their options such as "5R" including reset my iPod, reinstall itunes, restarted my computer, etc..
I tried to connect my iPod to my friends laptop and itunes has identified immediately so there is obviously no problem with my iPod or USB cable.
I have nothing else plugged on the other USB ports and tried to plug the iPod into USB ports in case there was a problem with one of them and I have also disabled all power save options for the USB ports so that they operate at full power.
I tried to run my iPod in disc mode as suggested on the Apple support site, but it is not yet recognized or visible in my computer.
I tried with firewall and antivirus disabled, but I still get the same message.

I would be extremely grateful for all the suggestions I've tried everything I can think of!

    Best regards, Liz stables

In Device Manager uninstall your USB ports/hubs. Re-start. XP will 'find' and install the drivers/software.

    Then plug in your iPod.

For the other posters: there are 2 versions of iTunes - 32-bit and 64-bit. most people will need the former, the latter is for Vista and W7. Do not try to install a version 64-bit on your 32-bit system, you can't.

    See you soon,.
