IPod synchronization problems

So never had a problem in the past, but I try to sync the albums selected on my ipod, I sort iTunes plug in select the albums that I want and click on synchronize.

It is synchronization of the songs for about 1 min then saying its full but when I go on my ipod, some albums are available, others are but fade entirely grey or one or two songs available. The greyed out are only available online.

Also the cover of the album is not synchronized on albums which they already have.

Also tried sync any library where before it took all night en to synchronize its saying its done in like 1 min.

Very very frustrating because I have a slight OCD with it!

Thanks again

I have wiped all the music on my ipod and I'll wait to see if anyone can help.

Try:

-Reset the device iOS. Nothing will be lost

Device iOS Reset: Hold down the On / Off button and the Home button at the same time for to

ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Unsync/delete all the music and Resync

To remove all music go to settings > general > use > storage > storage management > music > tap Edit in the top-right, then press the sign less than all music

-Reset all settings

Go to settings > general > Reset and tap reset all settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as your contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) are not affected.

-Restore from backup. See:

  • iPod connection and synchronization problems classic160GB

I have a well taken in charge iPod classic 160GB. Worked perfectly until...

Since the upgrade to the latest OS (iMac), I've been prone to random error when updating of my music. Essentially (1) the device is still connected and there is no apparent way to perform a good ejection process (2) and synchronization fails after many hours and don't care only about 100 songs.

Thus, it seems that the iPod is ok mechanically. I have reset the device and formatted the HARD drive. This allowed then the synchronization process works correctly. Yesterday I downloaded the songs on the iTunes store and wanted on the iPod - same problems error has occurred.

Would it not make sense to go back to an earlier version of the operating system? and iTunes? (same iTunes appears unstable now...)

I see that this timing issue is quite common with this unit holders and it seems to be common, because support was arrested for this camera - I'd be cynical? Why isn't Apple in the face of what it comes to very bad reputation management - total contempt for Affairs of its user base?

I always use what is apparently a good piece of hardware, but I'm extremely frustrated as a user. Any body found the corrective action? If so, what is it?

LAST: I left Apple and bought a Sony HD camera. Why? as a result of these frustrations. I'm now evaluate whether to consider other Apple devices that are close to replacement (viz, Ipad, MacBook Pro (17 "), iMAc) with non-Apple devices. This is how frustrated and I'm in a bad mood.

Please, if you know a solution, I am very willing to try that.

Problems with synchronization is often caused by a hard drive which becomes unreliable.  Hard drives are mechanical and ends by fail, computers and iPods.  I have much older iPods (4th gen, 3rd generation and iPod mini) that are more than 10 years at this point.  They still work perfectly fine with the latest version of OS X and iTunes.  I replaced the fragile hard drives in three of these iPods with Compact Flash card or an SD card on an adapter.  For the 5th generation and later iPods, you can look here for more information

    https://www.iFlash.xyz/

I see that this synchronization problem is quite common with this unit-holders...

It's not just 'common good' considering there are millions of iPods (with storage on hard disk) still serving there.  However, if you see more cases of these days, the reason is obvious.  They age, on average.  The iPod classic model was released back in 2007.  Old things tend to start fault for various reasons, including defective hard drive.

  • Does space empty between the video clips a synchronization problem in first?

In the past, when I wanted a second or two of black space between video clips, I just leave the empty space, which fell to black on each side of the gap.

Can only cause audio/video sync issues? Can I actually save some black frames and fill these gaps?

I just loaded a video on Youtube, and it gives me an error message I could have synchronization problems.

From my experience, empty spaces will not cause any problem whatsoever.  Done it for more than a decade in every version of Premiere Pro.

  • Pinch and Zoom - synchronization problem

    Hello

Since v25, iPad Apps have a pinch and Zoom synchronization problem. If hitting swipe to a page, you cannot directly Pinch & zoom, using the two finger gestures. Firstly, it must wait 1 to 2 seconds (whats darn long) until you can zoom. Even if the PDF page is fully loaded (already sharp/readable).

On some pages that do not have something different than the other pages, you must first zoom out, before zooming in works.

Very strange problem. Someone at alse noticed the same thing?

I'm using the latest tools of InDesign CS5.5 v25.

    Kind regards

    Yves

We have seen problems with pinch and zoom on v25. It is not so much a timing problem that the gesture is very sensitive to how far your fingers are when you start pinching. We turn to her with a fix in v26.

  • SYNCHRONIZATION with the IPOD Touch PROBLEM

    Help

In my IPod sync is not all of the songs in my ITunes music library are downloaded to my IPod. An error message comes up saying:

"Some of the items in the ITunes library, including (name of one of the songs) were not copied to the IPOD because you are not allowed for them on this computer."

"To authorize this computer for items bought on the ITunes store, choose Store > authorize this computer."

"For a list of items that cannot be copied, click on the + below.

In this case 48 songs do not have can be copied. The computer is allowed (I went through this process and confirms that the computer has been authorized) and in all cases, several new songs to the library have been copied.

What is the problem and how can I get these 48 songs copied to my Ipod?

It is possible that these 48 songs were purchased from the iTunes Store use a different ID to Apple?  iTunes Store no longer use DRM (copy protection) for the songs, the songs would be really old purchases (in the early years of the iTunes Store).  You can check the Apple ID used for the purchase by doing a Get Info on one of these songs in iTunes.  In the window information, file tab, look at was purchased by.  If this ID Apple is not your current Apple ID, you must use the command allow this computer again.  This time, replace your current Apple with the former and password ID.

NOTE: A computer can be allowed to read the content of several Apple ID.  Authorizing with old Apple ID does not remove the current authorization Apple ID.

  • 80 GB, iPod Classic, Windows 10 synchronization problem

Firstly, apologies if this is an ancient question.  There are so many threads that it is not easy to find the right one.

My 80 GB Classic iPod has worked with Windows XP and Windows 7.  When I got a new computer and upgraded to Windows 10 iPod was seen by iTunes but wouldn't sync.  This lasted until I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes (version 12.4.2.4).  Now, he doesn't see any of the iPod.

One of the possible solutions that I've seen is to unplug all USB devices, but since this means that the keyboard and mouse it would be awkward.

What do you propose as a solution?

  • Synchronization problems

I am running windows 10, iTunes on a laptop Dell Inspiron 12.4.3.

My problem is with one of my devices with iTunes sync.

The Ipod is running IOS 6.1.6

When I check manually manage music & checked synch only of songs, it synchronizes only the recently added songs (i.e. only 55 songs added the other day) and does not add that other albums checked.

    The IPhone is running 9.3.4

When I check manually manage music & checked synch only of songs, it synchronizes only the recently added songs (i.e. only 55 songs added the other day) and does not add that other albums checked.

I suspect that the problem is that you try to manually manage music and synchronization. You can't do both, you will need to take one or the other. If you want to synchronize, and then set all your sync settings. If you want to manually manage music, then you click and drag the music from the library to the device and don't have any setting to synchronize music.

  • Windows 7 Beta now Vista SP2 make ipod synchronization impossible.

I arrived at the time when I was running Windows 7 Beta and now it happened again after that I went back to Vista, but installed SP2 this morning.

iTunes takes 30secs-5 minutes to synchronize a track to an iPod. After rolling back to SP1 it works fine again. I scoured the Internet looking for people with similar problems but could find only a few, with no solutions. What is - this on these updates that are breaking iTunes on my PC?

    Jim,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with W7 and sync to iTunes.  Personally, I use Vista and W7 and am an avid itunes user and have yet to see a problem.  You can check out the Windows 7 forum to microsoft.com/springboard, may there are some information about compatibility with your system, please keep in mind, if your system is stable before, and you have the Vista drivers they will work with Windows 7, so you can get back at them.

I'm sure that the two companies are working to resolve synchronization issues they may have.  In regard to keep them informed of the latest news about your particular hardware I suggest to search for updates to the iPhone and see what you find there.  There may be a few sites that have some RSS feeds, you can bind.

  • Synchronization problems with the clean install

    Hello.

Is it possible to push the content of my iPhone to my computer? (and not the other way around)

Recently, I did a clean install on my Mac Pro and trying to get everything in working order. I got a load of music and voice notes on my iPhone that I don't want to lose, but the only way iTunes will allow me to manage the content of my phone is erasing all the content on my phone to sync to the 'new' library

    Help, please!

    Thank you

A new installation of the operating system shouldn't have deleted personal data files unless you want to say that you have done more than a "clean install". You do not install the data files.  Looks like that erase you the iTunes library file and it was a big mistake because it is towards this specific copy of the file iTunes Library.itl that tries to sync your phone.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer from a device. The exception is media to iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Re-download or transfer your purchases iTunes Store for the iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

To see other items: import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - https://support.apple.com/HT201302 - are those you have taken yourself.

  • Former synchronization problems Nano 5th gen

    Hello

I use 2 nano 5 people for various activities where I don't mind losing their... for example in my vehicles

    I am running windows 10

    ITunes version 12.4.0.119

I have the most updated driver on the ipod

The ipod shows up in my ituness but I cannot sync any new songs from ipod, either by drag and drop or via a menu, even if the option to sync with the ipod.

Can I get them to synchronize?

If the answer is no it is fine, but my question would be how can I down music is not already on itunes?

    Thank you

5th generation iPod nano is not "ancient".  I always use one for my race.

If the answer is no it is fine, but my question would be how can I down music is not already on itunes?

Which tells me that the iPod is currently not set up to sync with your current iTunes library.  If that were the case, all of the songs on the iPod would be in your iTunes library.  iTunes synchronization is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer files of song from iPod to computer (with the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links.

It is risky to have songs that are only stored on an iPod.  You can lose iPods (especially if you ' don't mind lose them "), and they can break or need of a restoration because of data corruption.  Once you get unloaded and added to your iTunes library files of songs from iPod, so that ALL of your songs are in your iTunes library (stored on your computer), you can configure automatic synchronization of associate of the iPod to the computer.  You can perform a restore on the iPod, if necessary.

  • iCloud with Windows synchronization problem

iCloud syncs my photos from my PC, but for some reason fine any it never download my videos.  I can see my videos on icloud.com, but they don't ever upload to my PC.  I have no idea why this is... any ideas?

I have an iPhone 5 and a PC running Windows 8.

    Hello mkeller30,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that you are able to see all your photos on your Windows computer, but your videos do not seem to sync to the computer.

From your description, it seems that you use my photo stream to see your photos on the computer. My photo stream works with photos, videos and that would explain why you don't see them.

My photo FAQ - Apple Support stream

Can what photo formats I use with my photo stream?

My photo stream supports JPEG, TIFF, PNG and photo formats more ROUGH. My photo stream does not work with the video.

You are able to see these videos on the site of iCloud is because you're using iCloud photo library as well. iCloud library synchronizes your photos and videos to your devices, but is not available on a Windows computer.

How does my photo stream with iCloud photo library?

My photo stream downloads your latest photos, so you can view and import them into all of your devices. Photos are stored in my stream of photos for 30 days. iCloud library download all your photos and videos to iCloud and keeps them up-to-date on your devices. Once you turn your device on iCloud photo library, pictures that add you to my stream of photos from other devices will appear in the tab all the Photos in the Photos app and organized in Moments, the Collections and the years.

  • iCloud bookmark synchronization problem...

My favorite is synchronized between 2 MacBooks and iPhones 2 (of which 1 is used only via wifi)

Recently bookmarked is not properly synchronized without apparent reason.

    Symptom:

1 one of form 'bar' favorite items - let's call it "Site X" - changes its position to become the first ⌘ + 1

2 "site X" can not be deleted or changed in any case.

    3. I tried to remove bookmark.plist in the library folder and then synchronize. The result is that only "Site X" stays on the bookmarks bar.

    4. only after this, you can remove or change "Site X"-, but this dose not sync between devices.

5 bibliography and other items on the bookmarks folder cannot be added or removed. They do not synchronize either.

    6. all other iCloud products works well. This includes Safari same transfer between devices.

I don't mind total delete existing bookmarks but want to recover the ability to sync between devices.

    Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. I can't organize or remove the bookmark on the MacBook Air 11 (OS X 10.11.3) & 5s (iOS 9.2.1). iPhone On iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1.2) everything works fine. Called support, they said wait should be quickly corrected.
