IPod Touch 2 G connection problem

I had a problem connecting my IPod Touch 2 G for a WRT54GS wireless.

I had originally set WRT54GS of security WPA PSK.  My Ipod Touch has found my network and I typed that it connects.  The Ipod has asked the password that I entered.  The Ipod appeared to connect to the network (showing a tick and the signal strength of 3 bars).  When I tried to access the internet through Safari, he reported that no internet connection could not be found.  My next trick was to remove security setings to my wireless router.  On the internet connection, I had the same report (unable to connect to the internet).

I then tried to renew the lease through the Ipod.  The fields remain empty (without router id or dns values).  I still couldn't connect to the internet.

I next tried a static connection by manually entering the information of intellectual property (192.168.1.103 / 255.255.255.0 etc.).  Now, I could connect to the internet, but one of my Internet Radio Apps wouldn't connect.

I just got an old Belkin Wireless Router hang out.  I have connected this place and set WPA - PSK security.

I turned on my Ipod Touch, clicked on my network connection, enter the required password and stole I had full internet connection (including applications of internet radio).

Issues related to the:

Why can I not connect to the internet using the WRT54GS with or without security using DHCP?

Why need to put in place a static connection?

Why Internet Radio applications did not work with the static connection?

Why the connection allowed Belkin so easily?

I really want to use the WRT54GS with my Ipod because it has a stronger more stable signal strength.

I spent several hours trying to solve this problem.

Well, I updated the firmware as advised and my Ipod Touch connects now as it should.

Thanks for the tips on this topic.

  • iPod touch will not connect to wifi, I have tried everything!

I used this touch iPod for over a year, and all of a sudden, it does not connect to wifi. I type the correct password, but he responds with "wrong password". I checked since then with several computers apple and iPod touch on the connection and that's fine. I even had these devices 'forget' the network and reconnect without any problem. I also had new devices to connect to the same wifi signal. I know that's not the router. I reset the network settings, reset the content and settings. I tried to restore then connected to iTunes and told to disable Find My first iPhone, but should not be my apple ID password. When you are connected to iTunes I put the iPod into recovery mode (connector pointing to iTunes screen show) and reset to factory settings and it won't always connect to the wifi. I'm looking for ways to solve this problem all over the internet and I'm out of ideas. The iPod is updated to the current 9.1 iOS. Someone at - it else I can try?

  • IPod Touch 4 G Sync problem Windows XP SP 3

My iPod Touch 4 G does not sync with my iTunes library. iTunes freezes and no longer just by showing that it is the first song synchronization. I have Windows XP Home Edition service pack 3, iTunes 10.4.1 and iOS 4.3.5 on my iPod. I have to burn my iTunes library to a CD and synchronize it with my iPod on another computer. My home PC is about 6 years but short grand. iTunes works great, can listen and download anything on my PC. Just can't sync with my iPod. I've tried everything. I think that maybe the USB issue someone else mentioned but I don't know. Maybe, I need to install a USB card that is not connected to my motherboard.

    Any suggestions?

  • WRT350N will not have my phone, ipod touch, nintendo ds connect wirelessly!

My wrt350n will not allow my phone, ipod touch, or nintendo ds to connect via wifi

at least I have remove the wireless security.  Does anyone know why?  I have the latest firmware and I use wep 128bits encryption.

I found the answer on the website of ipods for troubleshooting.

I had the 128-bit encryption, but on my selection of router, I got key 2 as password.

Then I changed all my cameras wireless (that works) and router to select the 1 button and then came the key 1 password for my ipod touch and g1 phone wifi and it worked.  I have to check on nintendo wii, that I had to buy the usb network adapter to do work and nintendo ds to see if it also works.  I'll post.

    * before all this I was typing in key 2 devices works... then the 1 key and it would say it connected but I could not surf the internet so I know that this is the solution without turning off wireless security *.

  • Problem IPOD Touch Kbps

In recent weeks my Itunes and Ipod gave me royal fits. Finally, I worked on most of the questions, with the exception of one of the major problems. I have an Ipod Touch 4th generation running IOS 6 (the most recent who qualifies for 4th gen iPod.) I have Itunes 12 (the most recent eligible for Vista.) ITunes works well. I have about 6 500 songs in my music library. All my songs play fine on the Itunes library. I have finally been able to get my Ipod to sync and connect and went ahead and transferred all the songs of 6500. NOW, I can tell you that I have the option selected to convert songs from Kbps higher than 256 (from 320.) Any music that's in my library that comes from a real store Rameau CD are 320 Kbps. So, all of these songs (320 kbps) converted to 256 Kbit/s, when I transferred to my ipod. When I access the Ipod, all these albums seem to be on it, and the transfer seems to have been successful. HOWEVER, at least 1 song or two ON EVERY SINGLE ALBUM that has been converted to 256 Kbps to 320 Kbps no IS NOT PLAY. To try to explain it, imagine opening an album on your Ipod. You see the album art and track ads all (say from 1 to 12). You listen to the album, and the first two songs are playing very well. Then happens to present a track, and it does not play. The small GAME jumps from a second icon, then disappears. You go to the next song and the play icon reappears and she played normal. Every single album that was to be converted to 256 kbps to 320 Kbps for this and has at least one or two songs on the album that makes it. The funny thing is, I can delete one of the songs that doesn't work on any particular album, go into my library, re add it, and then it works. I could do this for each song, but God knows that there must be at least 1000 songs like that. ALL my music which was already 128 Kbps on my Itunes library was just fine, without errors or problems while playing. It is a weird problem it seems. Any help would be appreciated. I have already restored my Ipod twice, re installed Itunes, checked to make sure that the files were not damaged, etc. I don't know what else to do. Thanks in advance.

The following steps should resolve things assuming that all of the content you want in your library.

(If it is not see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device).

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restoration as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup that you made earlier.

If that doesn't work try without conversion and synchronization less.

  • iPod touch generation 5 does nothing when connected to the computer

    Hello

I had problems with my iPod touch Gen 5 running on iOS 9.2 is not connected to my computer. Boredom? I plug it into a wall adapter and it costs. I plug it into the computer and it does nothing. I tried all USB drives (who all work, as my computer is fairly new, I got it late may last year (2015), and I tested it with my mouse wireless.)

I tried to restart my PC and my iPod. My computer is a Toshiba Satellite C50D, which is almost a year old and running on Windows 8 (I'm never upgrade to windows 10 no matter how my computer wants me to.)

In addition, if you could contact me general Grievous, it would be nice. I just want to say that I love him<>

  • iPod touch will not got to some Web sites - "Safari cannot open the page because the network connection has been lost."

Safari refuses to go to certain websites (facebook.com, youtube.com) on my iPod Touch and instead displays this error:

S afari cannot open the page because the network connection has been lost.

The bubble at the top where I typed in the URL doesn't change, it always says "facebook.com" or something else.

No matter where I am, so it won't get fixed by resetting my home Wi - Fi router. Other sites load fine. I have reset the iPod, too, by pressing the sleep button and one on the front (whatever it's called) until I see the apple logo. I also did 'Story clear and data Web site' in the Safari settings.

I searched the web and found a number of threads that start with similar complaints, but I can't find one where the problem has been resolved in fact.

    Thank you!

Not "no matter where I am," means, it happens with all networks?

    If so:

    Try:

-Reset the device iOS. Nothing will be lost

Device iOS Reset: Hold down the On / Off button and the Home button at the same time for to

ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    -Reset all settings

Go to settings > general > Reset and tap reset all settings.
