irregular flow oddly with two TCs problem

I was mystified by a problem with a strangely inconsistent flow (i.e. read/write speeds) involving my two time capsules, which consist of a 1 TB of third generation unit and a unit of 2 TB of fourth generation. The 4th-gen is configured as a router connected via a cat-6 cable on my cable modem, and the 3rd generation is configured in Bridge mode and connected via a cat-6 cable to the 4th gen. I have a MacBook Pro 15 "(mi-2015) running OS X 10.11.5 which is connected via a cat-6 cable for the TC of 4th generation." I changed the cable, without result. I've updated the firmware on both cameras from 7.6.3 to 7.6.7 without result.

What I observed in copying a file of ~ 1 GB to and from each of the Finder window time capsule, is that on the first try for each flow is good: 30 to 50 MB/s on the 3rd generation and maybe 50 - 75 MB/sec on the 4th gen unit. But if I try again (and each subsequent attempt), the flow is * much * lower in each direction, ranging from 30 MB/sec up to 7 MB/s; It is with much longer correlate for the transfer to complete. I am able flow by using the 'Network' tab on the activity monitor approx. unplug the 3rd-gen unit has no effect.

Does anyone have an idea what could be the cause of the inconsistencies? I checked, and in my testing Time Machine or CrashPlan were back up.

You have wireless off in the MBP?

Otherwise, please turn off... even if ethernet is top of the list for the wireless connection may cause problems.

Can you please move the ethernet cable to the Gen3 of MBP unit and see if you get the same effect.

This seems a strange effect, so it may take a bit of track.

  • strange problem with two Cruzer 32 GB flash drives on XP Pro

I have two Cruzer 32 GB discs that will not work on a particular PC running XP Pro SP3.

The readers work in other PC running XP Pro and PC running Windows 7.

Now, until someone says, "it's obviously a problem with the PC" I have to say that USB Flash drives other works very well in this PC manufacturers, as does my Seagate FreeAgent Go drive (so it is not a question of power).

Flash only readers who present a problem are the readers of Sandisk.

When I insert the Cruzer it flashes slowly then after maybe 20 seconds start blinking quickly and continues to do so as long as she remains inserted in the USB. There is no indication on the screen it was inserted - nothing ofering to the media browser, files, etc.

The drive appears in my computer as drive F removavble, but no file or folder is visible.

When I go to administrative tools > computer management > disk management, disk is NOT visible, it is not visible as a removable drive.

In Device Manager it appears as SanDisk Cruzer USB one, using a device driver Microsoft date 01/07/2001.

I tried to uninstall this device, removing the Cruzer then turn the PC, but when I plug it in there new detects new hardware - Sandisk Cruzer and drive hard, but then says that it can not work properly and invites me to restart the PC. Subsequently, he then returned to the symptoms described above.

The TWO Sandisk Cruzer 32 GB disks with the same problem.

Someone at - it any other ideas?

    Thanks pechter!

    Kies was the problem.

I followed the instructions in this thread http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/All-SanDisk-USB-Flash-Drives/sandisk-cruzer-blade-problem-troubleshooti... and it cures the problem.

I must point out that it has not affected any other brand of flash drive I've tried, the incompatibility seems to be only between Sandisk Cruzer and Kies, leads me to conclude that this is a problem of Sandisk.

  • Problem setting up Port Forwarding with two routers.

I can't set up by Linksys RT31P2 and routers port forwarding WRT160Nv3.

My setup is Webstar Modem = RT31P2 = WRT160N = Mac OS 10.6.5. (No configurable modem and ISP do not prevent port forwarding. It comes with two Linksys routers).

I had a Monty Python-going around with the support of Cisco cat; and follow up with telephone assistance in which the agent knew nothing about port forwarding and his supervisor expressed the view that it was not possible with two routers. Sigh.

If anyone can help me with step by step specific and simple instructions to configure routers. I know that the basic procedures. I'm not clear, what exactly changes on routers.

I read that portforward.com has to say and it does not work so I must be misunderstanding something.

The ip address of my computer is 192.168.1.103.  Are the last three digits of this speech concluded the two routers in the area on the port forwarding page? What other changes should be done what router?

I know the port numbers that I use are OK because I can implement successfully if I connect to one or other of the routers (but not both), and my software of p2p shows port are open.

Any help and suggestions most welcome.

If you set up as I have suggested that you have only a single LAN that will be using in your addresses * 192.168.15 case. So in your case:

    1. change the address LAN IP of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.15.2 WRT.
    2 disable the DHCP server.
    3. connect the LAN of the WRT port to port LAN of the RT.

That's all. Disable the DHCP server will not affect whatever it is that you're connected LAN - LAN and DHCP server on the RT is still operational.

After the change, previously the WRT computers may require a reboot to get a new address 192.168.15. *.

Your computer to which you are transferring must have an IP static and not dynamic (or variable). Check the current IP information on this computer. It must have an IP address like 192.168.15.103, mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.15.1 subnet and DNS 192.168.15.1 server or maybe two other IP addresses instead. Note DNS servers if you do not 192.168.15.1.

Then configure a static IP address on the computer. Use something like 192.168.15.10, 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.15.1 and the DNS servers you found before.

After this implement 192.168.15.10 port forwarding.

    Hello

    I use a custom source based on BDB - 5.1.19 (excxx_repquote)

-l' test is to isolate the customer from the master (brain) and reconnect after a random time include 1 sec to 10 sec

the test run of about 10 times, but at some point, the slave to process receive DB_EVENT_REP_ELECTION_FAILED

Set the priority of replication for this environment group election.
An election first selects the site with the most recent log
documents such as the new master. If several sites are the most
recent log records, the site with the highest priority value
    is selected as the master.
    //
    cur_env.rep_set_priority (app_config-> priority);

Set the policy that determines how master and client sites
treat the acknowledgment of replication messages required for
permanent record. The default policy of "quorum" requires only
a quorum of the likely to be elected peers sufficient to ensure a permanent
record remains durable if the election is held. The option 'all '.
requires that all clients to recognize a permanent replication
    message instead.

The following features of the basic replication can also be useful to your
request. See Berkeley DB documentation for more details.
-Master leases: strict consistency for data reads
    on a main site.
-Delivery time: Customize the amount of time that waiting for Berkeley DB
for such things as the election must be concluded or a master
    lease to be granted.
-Client synchronization delay: managing the main site
resources by spreading intensive customer resources
    synchronizations.
-Blocked customer operations: return immediately with an error
rather than wait indefinitely if a customer is operation
blocked by a current client synchronization.

Configure heartbeat timeouts so that repmgr monitors the
health of the TCP connection. Master sites disseminate a heartbeat
at the frequency specified by the timeout DB_REP_HEARTBEAT_SEND.
Customer sites waiting for activity of the messages of the length of the
DB_REP_HEARTBEAT_MONITOR timeout before concluding that the
connection to the master is lost. The DB_REP_HEARTBEAT_MONITOR
timeout must be longer than the time-out DB_REP_HEARTBEAT_SEND.

-Regulates two sites of strict majority - in a two-site replication
the group, to ask the two sites are available to elect a new

-Timeout - customize the amount of time repmgr awaits

  • How I find myself with two passwords to iCloud for the same account?

How I find myself with two passwords to iCloud for the same account?

For security reasons, I only use iCloud for Contacts and "find my iPhone".

Several months ago Apple forced me to change my password to iCloud.  So I did this.   In the last months, I used successfully the new password to 10 or 12 times when asked without problem.

However, I received a notification of a software update for my Apple Watch. I did the update without problem. However, after completing the update my iPhone asked me to connect to my iCloud account. When I did this, she rejected my password. I made 4 attempts typing very slowly and with care for you sure I did it right.

Then, operating under a hunch, I decided to enter my old password to iCloud. It worked?  I'm confused about this, any ideas would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem last year. I had to call Apple. Contact is a bottom of this page.

  • FGV with two types of variables

    It goes something like this

I want the FGV having a cluster of two tables 1 d of double (which will be the variable of the FGV). and the data that I am 'Add' is a double issue / constant (whatever), it will be the additional variable.

the main idea is that I want to be able to choose to which one of the two i added the extra number and I think that it is quite easy to achieve with a simple Boolean control (reference) and the structure of the case, that's what I did.

the problem is that if I what that it either does not connect the FGV labview shift register does recognize as the FGV variable, that I have just described, and if I do, it's an extra entry which I don't want to use it later.

in theory, I can do my extra variable to be also a cluster with two tables 1 d of type double, however, given that my entry has a single issue, I do not know how to accomplish it.

    Thanks in advance.

It would be good to know if something like this is even possible. (first option)

  • Can someone help me with two questions regarding my PowerShot SX540HS?

I'm generally pretty tech savy, but I'm having problems with two very basic functions on my PowerShot SX540HS.  I downloaded the complete operating manual and followed the instructions to the two questions, but I am unable to answer these questions after a lot of testing with the camera settings.

    1. is it possible to force the flash to the position, but keep any AUTO value? (I need an additional light on the African-American faces when shooting outdoors).  The manual States that there should be a setting IT for flash, but all I see is auto flash or disabled.  I don't see a setting IT allows me to force the flash fires.

    2. I need help with how to set up the camera to focus on how to features of landscapes in the background (such as a mountain range) instead of focus on something more about that appears in the frame, perhaps some leaves from a nearby tree.  When I tried testing the manual focus by following the instructions in the manual and set the focus to infinity, ISO camera settings went haywire and I got a completely overexposed photo.

I'd appreciate any help.  I thank you very much.

    Your welcome!

The brightness problem is your camera set to have the i-contrast on Auto? If this is not the case, try this to fix the bightness of images that you have taken or will take.

You can of course put the ISO and shutter speed manually too in P mode for pictures where I contrast does not work well for you.

P mode is basically the Auto mode, but it allows you to make changes where you want.

  • With W - XP and a utility 6540dt, why it prints black (bakkup) with two LDTC wet ink?

    Someone out there:

I'm under Windows XP and using a HP Deskjet 6540dt printer.  I removed two LDTC (ink cartridges) which indicated down and replace them with two new HP Inkjet LDTC and the printer indicates it will only print black ctg in backup modeusing.   This got me puzzzled.   I deleted the drivers and reinstalled from a CD disc (part No. C8963-10001) HP   after reinstall the drivers, the printer still prints with the onlyblack print cartridge.  I was super confused.

I am running AVG free edition , and Microsoft Security Essentials and have even unintalled them then turing the driver for the Modem from Verizon to reintall the HP Deskjet 6500 series and still no luck I thought that the firewall can interfere with the installation.  He does not appear.

What do you think is the problem?.    I have the installation disc at home MS W - XP original (not a recovery disk) and have all the dates of arrival and Service Pack (SP-3).

I'll have to take the computer and printer to a repair (specialist) {no BestBuy or Geeks or Office Depot} man or can I fix it myself. ??   If I can fix it myself, you please give me instructions step by step IE: A: cela;  B: do;    etc.

The specialist repairer should have renovated th ? printer

Thanks in advance for your input

  • S271HL - demand guarantee, she needed no repair - I'm back with the same problem

Earlier, I sent a S271HL monitor for repair under warranty.  The issue was that the screen would not activate and the only thing that happened was an orange power flashing instead of a constant blue button button.  The problem is that I got, with the same problem that I sent him.

I am the home monitor today.  The first two pages of order of service, under the description of the problem, I see:

said c:CX dsnt unit turn on, only a power light flashes

a: do you have a self test, no go, so informed the cs repair, cx agreed

r: at the request of the unit for repair

On the second page, I see this:

    Computer data. Accessories
    No accessories (No. Box)

    Software & other remarks:
    surface scratches, no power

(Note to this poster: surface scratches?)  Where?  I treated this monitor as it was made of Crystal.)

    Diagnosis / repair:

Reported problem not noted.  Monitor power towards the top with good screen, stable.  Monitor adopted system intensive burnin test over the weekend, more than 63 hours, without any problem.  At the end of the extensive, intensive, powered burnin test monitor then turn it several times; always under tension with a display of good and stable, no problems noted.  In the course of trials, powered monitor then turn it several times; always constantly lit with a good and stable display.

    ===============

So, my friend has a supply for his Acer monitor (a smaller one) that has 19v and 2. 1 has, just like mine.  So I borrowed her power to test my monitor and I had the same problem: an orange power button flashing.

So the question is: has anyone ever encountered this with Acer?  I'll call them, but I wanted to see if there was any opinions here at the same time.

It seems that this has not worked for the first tester and launched up to more away for another tech fix, but when that tech he walks, it worked fine. I have been a mechanic my whole life, in many areas, and I saw this scenario several times. There is also the possibility that someone got lazy, but you can not prove it so just contact warranty service again and tell them that they must resume and attach it.

  • TV LCD W2607C with the same problem of power W2600

My Dell W2607C LCD TV has even no power problem. I had less than 3 years and have had very good care of it. I stop it after watching some tv to go with dinner. Two hours later I tried to turn it on and I have nothing. Not even a blink on the LCD. Power LED turned blue, then blinked orange.

A week ago, I finally called Dell customer service. Of course, I've been waiting for about 20 minutes. After giving all pertinent information about my Dell 26 '' LCD/TV, the operator (in English very hilly, I might add) guided me through all the troubleshooting steps I had done. None worked troubleshooting.

She tried pulling the line 'contact your cable operator' old, but I told her that the cable is fine cause it is also plugged into a second TV. She then tried to explain since it was out of warranty he could not replace. I did not stay in there and started to explain how Dell sold me a defective product and that I have LCD screens and televisions last more than 2 years and how it was unfair for a loyal customer to treat them that way. She then tried to send me to another service of technical support, but the only difference is they were going to charge me. I said 'No' and then asked his supervisor.

He tried to give the same line on 'out of warranty' and I told him that this is not an uncommon problem and if you google "Dell 26 '' TV does not turn on", he would see that there are a large number of consumers out there with the same problem as me.

He then said, "Oh but the problem you have raised is the 2600 series model not yours, yours is the 2607C.» I answered, without hesitation, "but it is still part of the same series, is - not? And it seems that the same problem was overlooked when they made the one I bought. »

I was told someone to a "higher authority" would contact me, but their calls have been rather erratic and I can't return their calls only leave voicemails. I get emails telling me how they just tried to call and when they say they would call between some time next, I end up wasting time to wait for a call that never comes.

As a last resort, I post here in the hope that I get response and are not facing customers by service script.

I ordered from Dell recently, his good faith. If I'm stuck with a very expensive paperweight, I might as well made my recent purchases and cut all ties with Dell completely.

  • Double screen with two VGA monitors (model Inspiron 620)

    Hello

I have an Inspiron (processor i5-2320 @3 GHz) 620 office. The graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 6450.

With two displays analog VGA, I wanted to dual monitor.

My problem is that the Office does not recognize the two vga monitors but that one monitor. Vga ports (I have two) on the desktop do not work at the same time.

So, I tried to use the DVI port, but it is only allowed to use DVI - D (I thought I'd use two monitors if allowed the graphics card DVI connector VGA). DVI - D deosn seem to allow analog monitors.

Currently, I only use one of the two with an analog monitor vga ports.

I wonder if I should buy the new digital monitor that can be connected to the DVI - D port.

Or is there a method to use both on the desktop vga ports?

    riofunk7,

    You have two options...

    (1) connect both monitors to the ports added discrete video card
    (2) connect a monitor to the integrated VGA port. Connect the other monitor to the additional port of discrete video card
    * Reboot the system
    * Press F2
    * Navigate to Advanced-Graphics Configuration
    * Activate Intel several monitor function
    * Press F10 to save your changes and exit the bios

% CRYPTO-6-IKMP_MODE_FAILURE: the mode of information processing failed with the peer to 172.18.x.x

In your current design, I can see HSRP used to provide evacuation route VPN HA outwards.  IPSec plan HA, HSRP is usually deployed when the Wan is attached Ethernet.  In this case, we can build the tunnel using the virtual address HSRP giving a permanent IP address.  The problem with your design, is that to reach the HSRP virtual IP address, you must cross a single hosted serial interface. If this interface is unsuccessful or if there is a problem in the path routed between cryptographic peer, you will never be able to reach the HSRP virtual IP address so the resulting solution will fail.

If it is the topology we work with, so the only recommendations I can do is to incorporate IP SLAS and followed in your design.  For example, you may track the status of the interface the main router series.  If the interface fails, you could decrement the HSRP interface boot priority in order to force traffic to converge on the backup router path.  With star-ISAKMP KeepAlive configured on the routers in topology, routers should be able to recognize the failure and the timeout of the old SAs.  Because the RADIUS is configured with two counterparts, the router can negotiae new SAs with the backup router.  When the serial interface comes back online, you can have the main router anticipate waking after a delay.  To detect indirect failures on the transit route, you could use ICMP IP SLA and monitoring instead.  This design, however, will be properly tested for stability during the failover process.
