Is it possible (or useful) to replace the processor in my HP Pavilion Elite m9060n...

Is it possible (or useful) to replace the processor in my media library of Rikouman Pavilion Elite m9060n PC... There an IPIBL-(Berkeley) motherboard with Intel Chipset G33. Intel Core 2 Quad Logo running up to 2.4 GHz. is there a processor more fast which will be taken in the Socket 775 and improve the operating speed? It is economically interesting if possible? Would be very happy comments from some computer guru, as I'm obviously a novice.

Morrismomic, welcome to the forum.

The existing processor is Quad core maximum that you can use.  Your only choice is the Core 2 Duo E6700 or E6850:

Personally, I'm not sure you'll see an appreciable performance gain with either.  The memory and the video card are major concerns, too.  The system is as strong as its weakest component.

  • Windows 7 recovery discs using after replacing the hard drive

My son has a Toshiba Satellite 115-S1100 netbook. Somehow he completely erased everything on this thing. When I tried to run Windows Recovery discs 7 32 bit Home Premium, I get a message 'no operating system found'. Toshiba support told me that I needed to replace the internal hard drive. I am a novice computer. Once the new disk in, these discs will work? Is there something special that needs to be done, or should I just run the disks? Also, given that the netbook is not a hard disk, I will be their execution via an external dvd drive. Will this work? Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. Thank you.

  • How REGEXP_REPLACE used to replace the part of the string?

    Hello

How can I replace the portion of string as follows, I want to replace the space as by ' - '.

    SELECT
REGEXP_REPLACE (superior ("' Laura bought stuff from 2000 USD on 12 September 2012 to KL and kl left on September 20, 2012"),)
    ' [0-9] {1,2} [^ 0-9](JAN|) FEB | MAR | APR | JUN | JUL | AUG | MS | OCT | NOV | DEC) [^ 0-9] [0-9] {4}',
    (','-') "REGEXP_REPLACE.
    FROM DUAL;

the output will be like this

Laura bought of the stuff of 2000 USD on 12-Sep-2012 of KL and kl left on 20-Sep-2012

    concerning

    Something like that?

    SELECT
REGEXP_REPLACE('Daivd bought stuff by 2000 USD on 12 Sep 2012 from KL and left kl on 20 Sep 2012',
    '([0-9]{1,2}) (JAN|FEB|MAR|APR|JUN|JUL|AUG|SEP|OCT|NOV|DEC) ([0-9]{4})',
    '\1-\2-\3',1,0,'i') "REGEXP_REPLACE"
    FROM DUAL;

    Explanation:

You group the parts of the date de-construct with (additional).
You can use expressions, backreference \1 \2 \3 and add '-' between \1-\2-\3 signs.

You should not user upper ('...') in the first parameter. If you cannot recover the original state of the letters.
If you want to case-insensitive matching you should use 'I' in the last parameter of regexp_replace.

  • Replace the battery on a computer pavilion laptop 1202sr g6

I want to replace the old battery with a new one. On the regulatory model battery is REPLACEMENT-YB0W. Is it possible to replace it with a battery with the regulatory model REPLACEMENT-UB0W number or not?

They look absolutely identical, power and voltage on both batteries are the same, too.

3-4 years is a long, he could be dead in the sea.

You could do a battery test on this one from HP support assistant or the system BIOS battery diagnostic test,

    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c00821536-24%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

But, you can use both of those in your system.

Do a calibration of the battery manually to make the system to know the exact level of the use of the battery every 2 months, you have to do this once you get your new too.

  • I replaced the processor on acer aspire m3201 and now it won't turn

Hi there, I have replaced CPU on my aser aspire with a like CPU now the Office not power power up.the is working.the fans kick on a second and when I press the power button goes nothing other that the indicated hard drive turns upward, but when I release the button, the led turns off. I checked to make sure that the CPU is in place. I also checked the pins on the processor and the stems are straight. I cleaned the dust fans and the heat sink. I accidentally dropped the fan with heatsink, and now it does not start so I replaced it with a different fan with HSINK and it still won't start. I replace the fan with an original as soon as possible. I wonder if the pc does not start because the HSINK fan is not the same thing? is this possible?

Here's all the details I have using now.please!

Depends on if the system recognizes the new fan or not, BIOS normally able to start if the CPU fan is not recognized.

don't forget that the new processor is compatible with your motherboard too.

  • Pavilion p6-2133w: upgrade Windows 10 Pro activation after replacing the processor and motherboard

I upgraded a Pavilion P6 W10 Pro in September. Everything was going well until the motherboard and processor failed. When I replaced the hardware I am prompted to activate Windows - I have the product key for Windows 7 Home Prem OA office machine that does not work for W10 Pro. I don't know how W10 Pro ran six months and support MS insists I do decline to W10. Two questions.

1 how W10 differ from the W10 Pro?
    2. How is this W10 Pro could have been improved in Windows 7 Home Prem OA? Looks like a decoy on the BONE.

    Greetings,

The replacement of the mother/CPU card can be extra monkey wrench in this situation.

You cannot use a key of Win 7 Home on Win 10 Pro.

You will need to install Win 10 and then move on to Win 10 Pro. Win 10 going to Win 10 percent if you had an activated copy of win 10 Pro.

    1. other features such as BitLocker and domain join.

    2. I have no idea how you've gone from Win 7 Home win 10 Pro. Were you a BETA-Tester (Windows Insider program)? I upgraded from Win 7 to win 10 Pro, because I was a BETA-Tester,

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro but ignored the input of the product key. Windows activated, but not right away.

  • HP Pavilion 15-p263nl: 2nd HARD drive cart, replace the optical drive for HP Pavilion p263nl 15 Notebook PC & Windows 10

    Hi all!

I intend to add an SSD for my HP Pavilion p263nl-15 Notebook PC. I found some sites that I can remove the optical drive and put a second drive using a caddy adapter in the optical drive Bay. I found that some people on the forum did it successfully, but nothing on my PC model. I want to know if he could work with my product.

In other words, there is my plan:

1 remove the real disk HDD hard bay and replace it with the new SSD.

    2. remove the optical drive and replace it with the adapter caddy containing my old HDD.

    3. do a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD using a USB key recovery made with my real Windows 10 system (which has been updated from Windows 8.1 July 2016).

I already have a 120 GB OCZ SSD (OCZ Vertex 3).

I have a few questions before buying the adapter:

1 - the two drives (my old HDD and the new SSD) are recognized by the motherboard / BIOS and the operating system (Windows, 10)? Is there a limit to a unique HARD/SSD disk drive on the computer?

2 should. What size the card be? I found offers for 9.5 mm and 12.7 mm that are supposed to be suitable for HP Pavilion in general

3 - these parts work together and with my computer (size, compatibility)? You can expect any problems with this upgrade?

4 - clean install Windows 10 quote, because I intend to install it on a different drive than the one I used to create the key USB recovery flash? I have never done a clean install of Windows before.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Alessandro

p.s. in this section of the forum (where I took most of the post), the solution worked almost perfectly, but it's a different product of the Pavilion 15 ^^

    Hello

    1. Yes,

    2. your machines use 9.5 mm SATA Tray,

3 problem? I can't answer this question because who knows nothing until the track.

    4. I don't know how you create USB recovery but a good new installation should work.

    Kind regards.

  • HP Pavilion 15-e073ca: 2nd HARD drive cart, replace the optical drive for HP Pavilion e073ca 15 Notebook PC & Windows 10

    Hello!

I intend to add an SSD in my two years 15-e073ca HP Pavilion Notebook PC.

    3. do a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD, using a recovery USB stick made with my system Windows 10 real (which has been updated from Windows 8.1).

I plan to purchase the following parts:

    1 - a HDD / SSD cart adapter for HP Pavilion 15 (model OBHD9-SATA-SATA-BU9), of NewmodeUS (http://www.newmodeus.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_5&products_id=583)

    2 - a SSD 128 GB (article SDSSDHP - 128G), SanDisk (http://www.sandisk.com/products/ssd/sata/ultra-plus/?capacity=128gb)

I have a few questions before I buy parts:

1 - the two drives (my old HDD and the new SSD) are recognized by the motherboard / BIOS and the operating system (Windows, 10)? Is there a limit to a unique HARD/SSD disk drive on the computer?

2 - the height of the SSD is 7mm, and it seems that my old HDD is 9.5 mm in height (model WDC WD10JPVT-60A1YT0). It would cause no problem (I need to add spacers)?

3 - these parts work together and with my computer (size, compatibility)? You can expect any problems with this upgrade?

4 - clean install Windows 10 quote, because I intend to install it on a different drive than the one I used to create the key USB recovery flash? I have never done a clean install of Windows before.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Haghe

Your plan is perfect. The SSD to will of 7 mm that always come back fine it just will be lower in the caddy. The holes and SATA connections are in the same place as a hard drive of 9.5 mm. You can use a spacer (many SSD include one in the box) but not really necessary.

Installing SSD for Windows 10 the way you expect is not really "own", that he will again introduce files and programs, in my opinion and certainly drivers. Whatever it is, it works perfectly and activates the old installation has been enabled.

The hard disk in the optical adapter will not be bootable and will transfer the data a bit slower than a drive in the main compartment, but will still be usable for most cases. If you need fast input/output like Photoshop or video editing move the job file to the first SSD. Alternatively, you may wish to consider documents and photos and other migration on the HARD drive to keep the 128 GB SSD to fill. You can right-click on these files and select 'place' and move them. After the back if you need some help with that.

    Enjoy.

They should fit you will have to climb on your HARD drive cage if there is an and that you may need a spacer inserted as some SSDS have a spacer for the filling of vacuum.
