Can I change the HARD drive integrated on my Satellite L50-B-281?
Hello
is it possible to change the HARD disk integrated in an SSD? Must be a SATA3 SSD?
Or it is also possible to install an additional HARD/SSD drive? For example the HARD drive now integrated as a data harvester and a SSD as a system drive?
Or the DVD player can be exchanged for one SSD?Greetings!
HARD drive can be transformed into SSD and it is the best option, but according to user manuals (to the attached picture) your laptop is not separate from the cover of HARD drive in the lower corner so upgrade disk HARD only is not supported for laptop owners and should be done by authorized personnel only.
To have full access to the disk HARD lower cover must be removed completely, and if you do it on your own it will void the warranty.
In my opinion, you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. This can be done quite quickly and I don't think that it would be expensive. -

How to change the hard drive from the slave to master drive?
Original title: drives hard slave to master, how.
I try to use an external hard drive carrier to download my data files on my laptop. One worked as a data file. The second and third would not show.
They can be slaves, so how can I change the masters so that I can download them?If the suggestion to use disk management doesn't help you, please explain what you mean by "first' and 'second and third." You have several hard drives, multiple partitions on a single physical disk, or just several files?
Also explain in detail the steps you take to 'download' (i.e., transfer) the files to your laptop.
Status 'Master' and 'slave' is not applicable to your situation.

I'm running an integrator system Windows 7 64 bit on an older system. What I would do is change the hard drives for some more great and maybe change the CPU. Is it possible to re - install the generator in system because I'm not changing the motherboard?
Yes, you can reinstall Windows 7 OEM System Builder License on the new hard drive with the new processor.
It will not be a problem in this case, since you don't "move" installation, you are doing a new installation. The less it will take is activation of the phone, as you change the hard drive:
How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)
1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Satellite Pro L500-1W4 - cannot install Win 7 Pro after changing the HARD drive
Hi all
I need assistance with Windows.
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro with Windows 7 preinstalled pro and the recovery DVD to downgrade to Windows XP Pro.
I had to change the hard drive, so I try to reinstall Windows 7 from the recovery CD, but it does not work. He said that it is not possible to install this on this machine. So I tried with Windows XP CD recovery and no problem
I'd rather have windows Windows 7 but I do not know how to retrieve
Last information, the Windows XP CD recovery came with the laptop that Windows 7 was made by the store who sold me the computer.Thank you for your help
JulieAs far as I know there is not a kind of limitation and if there is no problem with the original recovery for Win7 disc, you should be able to install it on any HARD disk that you use with your machine.
I upgraded HDD to the SSD on my installation of picture machine and the restore worked without any problems. To be honest, it is not easy to say what the problem is here, but the Win7 installation disc is somehow suspect for me. I don't know what model of laptop you have exactly, but somehow, I feel you didn t get original drive Win7. Best evidence is the Windows XP Home edition recovery disk. The prinziple with Win7 is the same and it should works.
When you use this disk you should have the menu as shown on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm
This document explains how this works with the original installation disc of recovery.

change the hard drive in the Pavilion all-in - one ms228
My hard drive has stopped working on my Pavillion ME 228 all in an office. I found a replacement at a reasonable price. I bought this computer in France a couple of years ago, it came with windows 7 family in french with a keyboard french azwerty. Now, I have to change the hard drive is possible to put on Windows 7 'Ultimate' in English (I have the disc) and English qwerty keyboard would work on this subject?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Yes, you can install Windows 7 Ultimate English and plug an English keyboard. It uses only a keyboard USB, right? Computers have no nationality... they will take the language of the hardware and software you install on them.
If the computer did not come with Ultimate you will need a new key Code. You can install the English version of the Windows 7 level it came with (probably Home Premium) using your own key Code.

Change the hard drive of my Inspiron 9300
Hello!
This is my first post on this forum.
Since July 2005, I have a Dell Inspiron 9300.
As it is now out of warranty, I would change the hard drive in it.
So I have a few questions, I'm looking for answers to if possible.
I will present my questions in two different parts, the first is on the material, the disc itself and then the software thing.
(A) material:
(1) should what equipment I expect? I know it's a hard disk IDE, so I guess I have to get the same kind, in parallel ATA works?
(2) I read here and there that the BIOS is limited to hard drives 120 GB, because more is not supported by the latter. You know a way to expand this capacity? (Only a medium chest!)
(3) what kind of drives advise you? (Brand, speed, etc...)
(4) I read on description hard drive 'IDE ATA 100' or ' IDE ATA 133 "in online shops, you know what it is?
(B) software:
(1) I would like to be sure that I will install the same things as when I do "Ctrl + F11", for the utility norton Ghost (want to keep this option!), which reinstall the entire computer with factory settings. I will get this during the installation with the recovery CD? Or you have a way to get this? (I want the same computer I have today, except a different HDD only!)
(2) do you know how to create a D: partition, so that I have a part for programs and a part for the storage of the files?
(3) how to install, is it: replace drive HARD; start the computer while starting on the recovery CD, Partition the disk HARD C: and D: (with the D: partitioned within the C: drive, I guess) and complete the installation of windows with the included Dell factory settings?
I hope that I won't bore you with my questions, and you'll be able to answer. It would be nice, because I'm not a pro from the computer, only an amateur.
Thank you very much
Vincent

Is it possible to replace the hard drive with an SSD? or would it be too expensive?
Is it possible to replace the hard drive with an SSD?
or would it be too expensive?
Yes. There are several alternatives. I found a way relatively inexpensive, using a map of mSATA (very small SSD) and an adapter to connect it to the connector IDE 44 pin internal of my PowerBook. It works very well. Rather than repeat what I posted previously, you can watch these two topics (which also has good info, other users)
Re: This win to install a SSD drive in a PowerBook G4?
Re: SSDS (my post is halfway - "this is how I did with my trusty Pismo...) »)
FYI - I have used the adapter is even cheaper now

I changed the hard drive, how do I put on an operating system on the new hard drive
Restart with the keys Option and command R keys. If this keyboard shortcut does nothing on your Mac, use a compatible Mac OS X installation DVD.
Follow the prompts on the screen.

Change the HARD drive in the laptop Satellite P10-304
I bought a new hard drive for my laptop toshiba satellite sp10, can someone tell me were the hard drive is in the laptop, so I can change it as it does not tell you in the instructions booklet
Thank you
jm75ukHello
For some portable models change HARD drive is very simple and not complicated. Change the HARD drive in your case will be not so easy, and in my opinion, you should contact the service partner. I don't know how old is your laptop, and if the warranty is still valid, but as Tobi said if you open the Briefcase with laptop computer on your own, you can lose the warranty.
I don't know, but the HARD drive should be placed somewhere under keyboard because on this model there is no coverage of HARD drive in the lower corner.
Good bye

Satellite P10 - how to change the HARD drive?
Hello
I want to change my Satellite P10 for a bigger HARD drive.
But I Don t know how to remove the DvD drive. On this laptop, I mean that the HARD drive is under the DvD drive.
Please help me, if you know how to change the HARD drive.
Welcome them
Mister_X
Hi Frank,.
I'm not too sure about the P10, but on my A30 the hadr drive is under the DVD-ROM. It is secured in place by a single screw (accessible from under the laptop), and when it is deleted the DVD-ROM slides just to place revealing the hard drive.
The hard drive is fixed with 4 screws (2 on each side)
