  I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 17 with installed Windows 8.1.  I use the printer above via the computer of my husband with a homegroup and wifi.   I have no problem with the printer it prints from my laptop, but I can't scan a document through my laptop, and I ask my husband to do it each time through his computer.  When I tried to install the printer directly to my laptop with the HP disc that came with the printer that tells me my computer need to be updated for this purpose.

  I don't know how to upgrade my laptop to accept this facility, or preferably a way to browse the homegroup and wifi. Anyone can solve this problem for me please?

  I looked all over the Internet a Blackberry app that allows me to dial calls through my Blackberry using my desktop computer, while they are hooked together via the USB port. Surprisingly, it doesn't exist.

  A simple application of this concept would allow me to highlight a phone number on the computer screen and then to have it pass the phone to the Blackberry to dial number. Another simple application would be to use the numeric keypad on the keyboard of my desktop computer to dial the phone number. In an advanced application, I have a system of contact management running on my desktop that allows me to make phone calls via the Blackberry by putting of the notes on my PC and then synchronize my data in the Blackberry, so that when I go to the office, I have all my data with me.

  That's how the real world works.  A lot of sales and senior managers are in and out of their offices every day. When in the office, using their computer to dial through their Blackberry offers many advantages:

  (1) an appeal of a client by using a line of office could mean that the customer calls back on this line of office when you are is no longer there. Outgoing calls on the Blackberry ensures that when you receive the call back, you'll be able to consider minimizing the phone tag.

  (2) we will take seriously.  Call with the computer allows for a much faster cleaner composition. Composition on a computer keyboard is much easier to use the very small keys on the Blackberry.  If you have to do a lot of quick calls, do on the computer is going to be a lot better than trying to do it on your Blackberry.

  (3) If you have an expensive phone system in your office, it can be very expensive to buy a PC interface for this, which allows you to compose your calls using the computer.   -To be able to receive emails on my BB, I always need to sign for the package of BB. Is this correct?

  -My BB will always look for the faster connection. So if WIFI is available, it will go for the Wifi. Is this correct?

  This means, I can sign up for BB package in order to receive emails. I would use the dataplan then not to receive emails. I check my email at home through my Wifi and NOT use my very expensive data plan. Yes the TI disadvantage that I pay a monthly fee only to receive my mails via Wifi. Sounds stupid, but I don't understand an alternative.

  Is there another possibility? Can I install on my BB to another email program and set up to receive emails by connecting directly to a server pop3 (gmail) and through my Wifi?

  Sorta OK. While the connection uses the WiFi connection, you always use services of BIS, which provides your month of membership.

  It is not really one 'good' other choice, other than access to your Web mail server via WiFi Hotspot browser. Who won't be no pushing or pulling email on your device, you'll just check the Web server. Not a great alternative in my opinion.

My computer is messed up awhile back and my friend saved my whole hard drive, the files system and everything, then wiped and restored, then ALL put in a folder called "windows.old" that I can access my hard drive.   This is not a supported configuration. InDesign MUST be installed locally.

  Are you talking about trying to add your office at approved locations of Flash Player? If so, you use the tab 'Advanced' in the local settings manager to designate the folders and files as being approved. (Full path is advanced-> Developer Tools-> trusted location settings).   Selected Czech language for OCR? If this isn't the case, please follow these steps:

  1. Choose file > save as other > Microsoft Word > Word Document in Acrobat format.
  2. Click settings at the bottom of the Save as dialog box.
  3. Click on the desired language.
  4. Czech, choose the main menu popup OCR and then click OK.
  5. Click OK again, and then click Save.
