Is it possible to run Windows 7 on Tecra S1 PT831E

Hello

is it possible to run Windows 7 on my Tecra S1 PT831E 126PQ?

I've updated the BIOS (last?) version 2.50 (it should be suitable also for Windows 7). With this done BIOS is fully compliant with ACPI?

Checking with Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor should not be a problem, in fact.

Thanks for any help.

Well cordially

ThomasMuentzer

Hello

Of course, you can install Windows 7 on your good old classic.
But the fact is that there is no official driver Win 7 on the page of the European driver Toshiba, it seems that you have to collect the pilots in his own hand.

But in general this should not be a problem of submission.
WLAN, LAN drivers can be downloaded from the pages of chip manufacturer driver touchpad can be used in other models of computers, laptops and Toshiba as VAP (value added package) Flash cards tools or similar

  • Is it possible to run Windows 7 * 32-bit and Windows 7 * 64-bit on the same computer?

I have Windows 7 * 32 bit running in my computer. But a lot of games that is built on 64-bit do not work in my system. I tried to install Windows 7 * 64 Bit on another partition of my computer. But before the start of the system using the Windows 7 installation DVD, I get an error with the oxc00000e9 status. The info says: unexpected i/o error has occurred.

  • How to manually run Windows maintenance?

Windows 8 comes with Windows Defender, which I think is great. However, Windows maintenance is part of Windows Defender and is running "when [my] computer is inactive." I would like to manually run Windows Maintenance for a number of reasons, namely:

    1. my computer is almost never idle, I always turn off when I can.
    2. I am a gamer, and my PC is almost totally for the games. Because of paragraph 1, Windows Maintenance eventually run while I'm in the game, if I can get a drop decent in the FPS for about an hour.
    3. Windows update runs when Windows maintenance done, automatically install important updates. However, many 'important' updates are not important at all, as Intel Smart Connect Technology (Bloatware) IE10 updates (my default browser is Chrome). I need to choose what updates I want to install.
As you can see, it is not really beneficial for the maintenance of Windows run on a schedule for me, but I don't want to turn it off completely, because of the tasks of the system, it performs, which are very helpful. Could someone please tell me if it is possible to run Windows Maintenance manually and if so, how? If it is not possible, it is possible to disable the automatic updates, or other characteristics, the interview of Windows is running and if so, how?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I suggest to run Windows Defender and play your games manually.

. Are what maintenance Windows you referring? Are you referring to the Maintenance of the system?

If you are referring to the Maintenance of the system, then follow the steps to run the troubleshooting of system maintenance utility:

    a. simultaneously press keys Windows symbol + W , type of system maintenance in the "search" tab and press enter.

    b. follow the onscreen instructions.

You can choose how the windows updates to be installed on your computer by following the steps:

    a. press the keys Windows + C on your keyboard and click on settings, click change PC settings.

    b. click Update & recovery; Click Choose how to install the updates.

    c. Select the Option as updates but let me choose whether to download and install them.

  • Is it possible to run an executable on a Windows Phone 8 Labview?

If I create an executable of Labview, it will be possible to run it on a Windows 8 phone?

No, as Mike has already said.

The reason is that an executable of LabVIEW contains a binary code that is compiled for the x 86 architecture CPU, and access to the Win32 API. Windows Phone general works on the ARM or RISC processors and provided only a subset of Win32 very limited in the past. With the new Windows RT technology that he actually moved even further the Win32 compatibility as it is all architecture is based on .net technology.

So even if you happen to get a processor Intel Atom based device Windows Phone that would be compatible x 86 it couldn't work, because a LabVIEW executable is an executable format portable Win32 is not a picture of .net bytecode.

  • is it possible to run both systems, such as windows xp & windows 8 on a pc

is it possible to run both systems, such as windows xp and windows 8 on a pc at the same time

    Hi Susan,.

Actually run two at the same time?  N ° having two installed so that you can choose which you want to run?  Yes (as long as your computer can accommodate two operating systems and has appropriate and such pilots and you will understand the compatibility requirements and other rules for software application).

How to do this depends on which two average you and your hardware (you could partition the disk to dual-boot, use readers separate for dual boot or create a similar to a dual-boot configuration, if the two you choose cannot work together in a normal dual-boot or use a Virtual Machine installed on an operating system to install and run the other OS and so on).  Certain combinations will be much easier than others.

So the answer is it is theoretically possible to have two (or three or more) installed, but not running at the same time - but I guess it could be argued that a Virtual Machine means in fact the two BONES are technically running - but that's just the way it seems to me since you can use only one at a time) , but may not work in your specific situation depending on your computer hardware and bios, the software you use, which specifies the operating systems you want to be able to access separately and so on.  To do this, we need information much more to offer help.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Windows 7 - is possible to run telnet via the LINE of COMMAND BACK?

I activated the Control Panel - programs - telnet client activate Windows features turn on or off - and a check by the Telnet client.

I CAN run telnet from the Start button and typing telent.   Telnet.exe is located and I click on it, and a telnet window opens.   The title bar of the window is "C:\Windows\system32.telnet.exe".

I can't run telnet from the command line, even as an administrator.

    C:\Windows\System32>Telnet
'telnet' is not recognized as an internal or external command
    operable program or batch file.

    C:\Windows\System32>.\telnet
'. \telnet' is not recognized as an internal or external, order
    operable program or batch file.

    C:\Windows\System32>.\telnet.exe
«.\telnet.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command
    operable program or batch file.

I want to be able to enter telent 192.168.1.1 at the command prompt, is it possible on Windows 7 without having to install a client telnet replacement?

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit with Service Pack 1.    My computer is in the domain of the company.

back / cmd - a rose by any other name...   You know what I mean.

But I found the link interesting it specifically shows run telnet from the CMD prompt.   I am not able to do, the mistakes, I have indicated in my original post.

So, I clicked on "Start", "Run" and type cmd and press ENTER.  I then typed in telnet you press on enter, and wow, this has worked.  So, what is the difference?

I looked at the properties of the shortcut, I always click to open a command window.  I see that it does the following:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe

I even clicked on start, run and then type the full path and the name "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe".

I typed in telnet again and it failed!  Hmmm so my computer run when I enter cmd versus C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe?  and why is there a difference anyway?

I find these two files and I perform a checksum on each of them, the files are the same:

    ad7b9c14083b52bc532fba5948342b98 *c:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
    ad7b9c14083b52bc532fba5948342b98 *c:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe

In fact, I suspect that they are in fact only one file with a hard to another link.  (Okay beat me on that too because I know MS does not use Unix terminology)

So, now that I have created a new shortcut pointing to c:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe and receive launch Telnet works!

It seems that when I run SysWOW64 cmd.exe, it does not. \System32 on its passage.  I tried to run c:\Windows\System32\telnet.exe - he started, but he doesn't answer.  I assumed telnet.exe is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.   And that's what I think, it's the current response.

  • Is it possible to retrieve e-mails from an Outlook Express to the new computer running Windows Live Mail somehow.

Original title: transfer emails to new computer

Pls is it possible to somehow retrieve the emails from an Outlook Express account on a broken computer to transfer to my new computer which runs Windows Live Mail or do I need to get the old computer fixed? Thank you very much

You are welcome. If you can get the files from hard drive accessible, here's what you need to know.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

V-2011/2012: Menu button. Import Messages. Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP the OE User (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

  • Is it possible to run an application Windows on my MAC?

I have a new sewing machine, which connects via wifi to my computer for downloads, etc.  However, the software is only for a PC.  Is there a way I can run on my iMac?

You must install Windows on your Mac. Either as a Boot Camp partition separate or in a virtual machine, such as Parallels or VMware. With the first, you start directly in Windows. For all purposes, your computer is a PC. With the latter, you use Windows in OS X, so the two BONES are available at the same time.

There is also a CrossOver, which can run Windows applications to OS x without having Windows installed at all. But it of all or nothing if an application will run, uncertain, or not at all.
