  I think what is happening here is that 3ds Max does not all the color management. Most programs that use color (including After Effects and Photoshop) management assume that a PNG will be in the video space and an EXR in linear space. If 50% gray in PNG format is 0.5 (127 in the 8-bit 0-255) during EXR is around 0.18. Unless you set things properly, 3ds Max will not do that, but write 0.5 EXR and PNG. Since After Effects is expected to 0.18, the EXR will appear too bright.

  If you want EXR to resemble the PNG, the simple way is to keep the project space the value None to work and check preserve RGB on the EXR.

  The ideal workflow is to preview that your Max is rendered with a gamma of 2.2 applied during the creation of your scene. Which is what After Effects is by default when you import an EXR.

Now imagine that person is a noob and has only a little creativity, a pinch of imagination and absolutely no experience whatsoever in what anyone who resembles a professional graphic arts, media, career, etc. with the exception of a few dabbling autour with paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic and sometimes charcoal.

  Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your persepctive I work on computers, these basics are covered. So now you understand my absolute lack of knowledge.

  I was check and finally purchased Production Premium thinking I am able to express something in Flash. The problem I have is (other than an obsolete computer) what is the real difference between the two programs, I asked? It seems some overlap in their functions. Sort of a different route to accomplish the same thing. I read the text of presentation on the Web site and the two sound very similar to my ears without instruction (eyes? alert mixed simile).

  If someone could kindly explain the reasons for using either of the two products and what they can do differently to me I would be very happy. I bought CS5.5 Production Premium and currently have loaded on my laptop before installing Windows 64-bit on the desktop (both at 32 bits at the moment) so I currently have the trial on the laptop. I understand the difference between Illustrator and photoshop, but these two are confounding. I also understand the differences between After Effects/Premier Pro 32-bit and 64-bit seems to be the spiffy Mercury playback engine. (a quick thank you to Adobe for versions 32 bit CS4 for these programs for the luddites such as I have, including!).

  Illustrator imports only the first level of the layers. If you have groups or paths below you must release layer groups. The layers will then be stacked in the order in the form of layers. Then you need to move them to the top.

Creative cloud tells me that updates are available, but the installation fails whenever I have it try. I reinstalled Photoshop, but it didn t work. I can´t find anything online to solve this problem, maybe I could find some help here? I also tried the cleaning tool, nothing positive has happened. Funny to know: on my system (desktop PC) mein nothing´s bad, all of the updates install perfectly and PS, AE etc are working well. Now I m reinstall my Windows clean (I ve done that 3 weeks), and I hope it will work after that. Someone out there with the same problems?
