Is it possible to uninstall Catalyst Control Centre

Hello... What happens if I uninstall it, it won't hurt my computer?

Yes, you can uninstall Catalyst Control Center. The CCC is simply a software that allows you to customize and edit your ATI graphics hardware and driver. This Web site has done an analysis and a thorough review of the CCC to try to decide that if it was better to leave installed or not, they found that on most systems, leaving it installed CCC won't hurt system performance.

If you want to change the settings of your graphics, leave it installed. If you will never use it (most people), uninstall that very little improve system performance.

At startup, and whenever I try to open the Catalyst Control Center, Windows displays the error message ' Catalyst Control Centre: host application has stopped working ".

Has anyone else with similar problems.
I tried to reinstall the drivers on the toshiba site, and install the new drivers on the ATI site and all I could think about. Given that the two pilots do not work im not able to exceed the resolution 1024 x 768.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

I googled for this error message and found many people having this problem.
It s not related to the laptop, but for the driver
    Who knows why.

In any case, in most cases the people solved this problem by the new driver Catalyst installation.
    You should do this;

-upgrade your Vista to the last State
    -remove the old system catalyst
remove/uninstall the graphics since the device manager driver
-Restart the computer and reinstall the driver and catalyst

    Should work!

    Hello

A few other suggestions for you to try.

Start by making a clean boot - How to perform a boot in Windows.

Once it is done, uninstall the drivers of Intel and AMD, as long as the catalyst control center. Once this is done, go to these links for drivers: driver Intel graphics high definition (HD), the graphics driver AMD high definition (HD). First, install the Intel driver. Once both are installed, reboot the laptop.

Test to find errors after restarting the laptop. If any of the previous problems/errors occur then you may have to do a system refresh: refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8). Then try to update again.

Please let me know if this helps you.
    Thanks for the reply.

Catalyst Control Center is a Radeon video card component. I recommend that you go into Add/Remove programs and uninstall. Once you have uninstalled it click HERE to download and enable the parser should automatically detect and install the appropriate driver. If the installation of the latest version does not resolve the problem, you should scan your computer for malware using Malwarebytes. Make sure that you update the parser prior to analysis.

  • Catalyst Control Centre: host application has stopped working

What does the error message ' Catalyst Control Centre: host application has stopped working "means and how to fix it?

Maybe it's the solution you're looking for.

Recently, I removed the malware recovery Vista of another of our mobile phones of the company Center. It installed ATI graphics card. This malware cache most of the files on the PC to try to trick into thinking that your PC is really damaged as he reports. Remove malware does not cancel the hidden aspects. In Vista, the folder of' your profile name (usually the owner) " c:\Users\ contains the subdirectory AppData required by the Catalyst Control Center to access in order to operate. If this directory is hidden, CCC cannot locate the files needed to launch. To resolve this problem, I use the following steps.

Go to c:\ and right-click on the users. Select Properties. On the general tab, look down to the hidden selection. If not, there is a box to tick in the box, place a check mark. Hit apply, select Yes to apply to all subdirectories. If you click ok, you may notice that he disappeared in the pane on the right, once it ends. It should always appear in the tree view on the left. Right click on it again. This time, remove the check mark and apply to all subdirectories. Once it's over, your files in the Users directory should reappear and Catalyst Control Center should function normally again. It worked in all cases that I have hitherto encounterd. I hope this works for you as well...

  • Catalyst Control Centre: host application has stopped working disk failure / hard

recently started to receive some ' catalyst control centre: host application has stopped working "or messages, usually, I get this message twice. When I started to get this message that I also had another saying of warning that there was an error with my drive hard as it had been corrupted, I think he said something as a "write-back" error message appeared, and I have since then lost most of my desktop icons, pictures, all my music files that I have composed and written , any word docs, etc.

I tried a virus scan first, defragged my hard drive and tried some system restore points and was able to recover some, not all, desktop icons and my experience, but that's all. all my files are gone, I don't know if it's two separate issues or both part of the same issue, but I would like any info or suggestions on how to get my files back. I've saved over 2 years worth of music that I wrote that I really need to come back! Thanks for all comments and advice

I just had the same thing happen. lost a lot of files. most is saved but we just moved and my backup HD are still packed. seems that there is a major conflict. check the file sizes in the main files, they are big like my files are there, but when I go down the root more that they are not and the file sizes in these folders don't add to the main folder above? I hope they are just invisible but recoverable. anyone with recommendations. I installed the mechanic system and my machine is stable again, but I get the error messages for the catalyst Center control and the dell support center. There may be a conflict between the 2 programs

  • Application of Catalyst control centre: Host has stopped working

I get a pop-up window saying: "Catalyst control centre: host application has stopped working.". "

It is written in the body of the box: "a problem caused blocking program woring correctly. Windiows will close the program and notify you if there is a solution. "

My PC is slow to respond, even web browsing. I have Microsoft security essentials and you have run a full scan. Nothing has beeb found. I check my GPU drivers and have updated to the latest.

I called HP technical support and said he thought that my hard drive was the problem. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with him and found nothing wrong with the hard drive.

I've only had the PC 8 months. He told me that he'd phone back the next day and didn't.

    Here are my PC specs:

    Model: CQ1140UK

CPU: AMD E-450 APU with 1.65 GHz Radeon HD graphics card

    RAM: 4 GB

    OS: 64 - bit Windows 7

    GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6320

    Hello Shenmue,

We will try a few things. The first thing is to check to make sure that you have the latest and greatest drivers. Microsoft will install drivers for your video card, but they may not always have the best.

You can find the driver from making page for your card video here

    AMD - Support & drivers

If you don't know which drivers to use the tool available to them on their Web site.

The next thing is an easy control and is usually not the case, but it is always important to check and it's to make sure that the directory it is trying to run is not hidden.

    Hello

This problem can be fixed easily; Please goto programs and featuresand uninstall the AMD Catalyst Install Manager. Then please goto this site: http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx in the upper right corner of this site it states: SUPPORT AND DRIVERS;  and directly below is: find a driver Please highlight this area with your pointer to extend the window and launch: Autodetect driver drop down and click: Driver Autodetect this will launch pilot Autodetect and move the window. Please goto the right side of the new window and choose Download Driver Autodetect, do not run it but save it on your desktop or where ever you will be, the scanner and then restart your laptop. I have to say now that pilot Autodetect is actually the beginnings of the new 12.4 CCC then after restarting your laptop, please make sure that the laptop is connected to the internet first and then double-click Autodetect driver file to launch the new CCC, make sure to follow all directions and accept. That should do it.

To access the CCC by the bureau, click any where clearly on the desktop and then click on CCC.
