Is it possible to upgrade CPU on my Satellite C

Is it possible to upgrade my processor AMD E1-1200 1.4ghtz what anyone faster than that,
I want to be able to play FIFA14 apparently she drags on the current processor.

My ram is 6 GB and I think that's enough.

Usually these updates is not supported by any laptop manufacturer.

But I read in some discussions that to some were able to upgrade the Intel processors in laptops own. But your laptop (which model of phone is it exactly?) seems to be equipped with an AMD processor and I guess that the chipset is AMD too.
In this case only the AMD CPUS would be compatible with the AMD chipset.

However, even if the AMD chipset would be favorable to another CPU, I guess you would have problems with BIOS. In many cases, the compatibility of the BIOS might be the main reason why a CPU upgrade would not work.

So officially his unsupported by Toshiba but if the socket on the motherboard and the chipset would support the new processor then you'd have a good chance to get the new processor running on this device.

    Hello

Usually it of not possible to upgrade the processor.
Of course, some people here have managed to upgrade the processor, but following some functions and features as don t work module cooling.

I do not recommend upgrading the processor. No one knows if it runs correctly.
Some processors are welded on the map and there is no possibility to remove it.

This is why don t do if you are not sure it will work 100%!

You cannot use something more recent than a second-generation processor - no y any Office that adapts the system which will have something more recent (mothers specifications are designed to suit all the chassis in which they ship - are not interchangeable or Extensible).

  • Upgrade CPU on the Satellite C850D

My Toshiba Satellite is equipped with a processor 1.4 GHz very slow and im quite fed up of not being able to run many applications at all due to its extremely slow speed of calculation. is there a way I could get a more powerful processor for this computer? If Yes, what else it would take like a necessary upgrade for it?

    Data sheet:

Processor: AMD E1 - 1200 APU with graphics HD Radeon (TM) 1.40 GHz
Installed (live RAM) memory 4.00 GB (3.60 GB usable)
    system type: 64-bit operating system
Pen and touch: no stylus or touch.

I can get and install RAM and SSD myself, I just want to know if theres a possible CPU to update here.

Generally speaking, CPU or GPU update is not supported. More info on what you can read on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

Due to the specific design each laptop has the cooling system specific that allows the optimum temperature of material and do not allow any laptop to run on the critical temperature. A more powerful processor means more heat, so I think that's not such a good idea to change. CPU utilization slightly faster not bring you performance much more, I guess. Three years ago my brother has updated CPU on his old machine P300 but there is not much difference.

After upgrade RAM and SSD laptop was very fast, very big initialize and reaction time.
You are right about RAM and SSD. You can do this alone.

Post if you please the exact model name and we can check what RAM modules are compatible with it.

  • Upgrade CPU on the Satellite L75D

    Hello

My Satellite model 17 L70D-A-009 "AMD A10 5750 M mobile computer has up and died on me. 2 different repair shops to agree with me that it is the motherboard, so I bought another. Its used and as one of mine, the model number is A000243670 but is it a satellite, model L75D-A7268NR 17 "AMD A8 5500.
I think that the 2 boards differ in that each of them have a rendering different BIOS chip my A10 does not work on the new Board of Directors. That or the A10 in my laptop is hooped.

Anyway, the question I have is can the AMD A8 5500 in the Satellite L75D - A7268NR 17 "be upgraded with the A10 5750 M.

    Thank you

    First important information:
Update CPU is not supported by the laptop manufacturers.
This means that information on possible and compatible processors are not provided by the manufacturer.

However, the CPU upgrade depends on two main points: chipset and BIOS.
In case one of the parts mentioned would not support the new processor, the update is not possible.

From my own experience, the upgrade of the AMD CPU is more complicated as an upgrade to an Intel processor. A lot of people here in the forum already updated the Intel CPU, but I did not have anyone who has improved an AMD processor...

Satellite L75D-A7268NR was not released in Europe however, USA. and probably you should check the Toshiba forum us for more details on this laptop.

  • Upgrade CPU of my Satellite Pro L300-152

    Hello

    my laptop is a:

    Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-152
    Model no. PSLB1E-01R015EN
    Celeron 560 2.13 GHz

Can someone tell me what CPU I can pass safely, I use it in a cool environment and care about a few 100 mhz more of her.

    Thank you for your support

Before you start to discuss CPU upgrade, check it please this Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

My personal opinion is that upgrading the CPU won't help much and you will not realize a difference in performance for laptop. In my opinion need more RAM or SSD better and faster. This better and better performance some CPU with 100 mhz dating more than one.

  • Upgrade CPU on a Satellite M40: Celeron to Pentium M (?)

    Hello world

I have a simple question. Don't you think that we can change the processor in a M40 - 307 (the one with the ATI chipset) Celeron m for a Pentium M?

I currently have a Dothan Celeron M370 (400 mhz fsb), so I guess that a dothan Pentium M (400 mhz) would do?

    Thank you!

WARNING: I know what I'm doing in terms of opening the laptop, as a matter of fact the 1, 5 ghz celeron is currently pine-modded to 2 ghz, the warranty is already more than 6 months, the rest of the computer has already been upgraded (HD, RAM) and the pentium M, I have in mind (725 and 735) are available for about 15 euros.

    Well, I discovered that the Satellite M40 were equipped with processors different as;
Processor Intel Pentium M (Dothan) and Intel Celeron M.

    Processor Intel Dothan (533 MHz)
    730 1.6GHz
    740 1.73GHz
    750 1.86GHz
    760 2.0 GHz
    770 2.13GHz

Processor Intel Celeron M (400 MHz)
    350 1.3 GHz
    360 1.4 GHz
    370 1.5 GHz.

So, theoretically, all these processors must be compatible. But as I said s theory.
Practically, it s always another story

  • Is it possible to upgrade the Satellite Pro M70 with a Core 2 Duo CPU?

I ve got the Toshiba Satellite Pro M70.
It is with the Intel Centrino 1733 Mhz.
I want to know if it is possible to update my system with a Core 2 duo.
STI Centrino (Dothan) 479M CPU base and the core 2 duo is 479 Y.

    Thanks for your replies!
    Sebastian

    Hello

No, to my knowledge you cannot switch the laptop with Core Duo or Core 2 Duo CPU.
Laptop Satellite Pro M70 supports a Mobile Intel 915 PM Express chipset and cela only the Intel Pentium M Processors.

  • Upgrade CPU on Satellite Pro M50?

Is it possible to upgrade the processor on a Satellite Pro M50 to say an Intel Pentium M 755 SL7EM Socket 479 (mPGA479M) or is the BIOS locked to accept only Celeron M 350J, 360J, 370, 380?

You should first check chipset compatibility.
IIN case the chipset would support the new processor, you have a good chance to get the laptop works properly.

I think the old series M50 Intel 915 PM/915GM/910GML chipset support.
    So, theoretically the
    -Intel Pentium-M Dothan (725/730/740/750/760/770) 1.6 GHz, 1.73 GHz, 1.86 GHz, 2.0 GHz, 2.13 GHz
    and
    -Intel Celeron-M Dothan (350J, 360J, 370) 1.3 GHz, 1.4 GHz and 1.5 GHz
    should be compatible.

But be aware that portable upgrades from manufacturers don t support the CPU.
So no one can tell which device is supported by the BIOS.

Also, the Pentium CPU would create and produce more heat and this may affect the functionality of the laptop. In the worst case system and the RAM would be crashes due to the higher temperature.

Really? As much as I know updates don't are not supported:

Referring to this document, Toshiba support nor recommended to make changes on their mobile systems, since the basics in these mobile systems are not expandable as in a desktop system.

  • Upgrade CPU on Satellite Pro C660-219

    Hello.

I wonder just to upgrade CPU on my laptop to get some perfomance.
I did the upgrade of RAM to 8 gb and 64 bit Win7.
    Now, it's processor i3 - 370 M (3 m cache, 2.40 GHz).

    I'm sure I can go to i3 - 390 M (3 m Cache, 2.66 GHz) processor, but it will be useless IMO.
It has same Cache and just a little bit faster CPU count:

    > I need someone to answer the question: can I ride this laptop an i5 or i7 without problem with compatibility with the motherboard?
You should know that upgrades of processors are not supported by any laptop manufacturer. This means that no one can tell if a CPU would be fully compatible and cause no worries. These upgrades are own risk.

You could read this statement from Toshiba about upgrades.
[Is it possible to upgrade the CPU or GPU of a Toshiba laptop computer? | http://APS2.Toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm]

The point is that even the chipset which is part of the motherboard would support the new processor, BIOS would not fully compatible and the combination of BIOS and the new processor may cause new troubles.

The camera seems to supports the INTEL HM55 chipset and to my knowledge, the Toshiba Satellite C660/C665/Pro C660 series is based on a Dual Core/Quad Core Processor (* Intel Arrandale processors *)

So if you want to find a compatible CPU, you should check the processors owned by the family of processors Intel Arrandale.

  • Upgrade CPU on Satellite Pro A10

    Hello

I have a PSA15E A10-IN running a celeron 2.0 chip. Anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the processor and if what chips it would take? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

In most cases, the upgrade of the CPU is not possible because of the BIOS and chipset restrictions.
But sometimes it is possible to use a different CPU, which is supported by the chipset.
I have no idea what chipset supports your laptop, but you can check this in the Device Manager or you could install some hardware diagnostic such as Sisoft SANDRA or Everest Home Edition software.

Then, you can view properties chipset Intel ARK on page for a list of compatible processors.

However, Satellite Pro A10 is very old and I doubt its value to upgrade the processor because you won't see a great performance.
