Is it possible to upgrade the ATI Radeon in a Pavillion dv7?

I want to improve the performance of video if possible, but there is no advice about this in manuals

Hello

Sorry to say, but it is not really practical change your video card - although it's called a 'map', it is actually physically soldered to the motherboard and therefore, is not an evolutionary element.

Kind regards

    Hello:

I doubt that AMD would not help, but I wonder if you can post a question or search the W10 Microsoft in the forum to see if anyone knows a way around the types of controls.

You can even post a question here.

It is more a problem of Windows 10 that a problem of HP, and someone who really knows their stuff on W10 will maybe able to help.

    3. expected problems?

    Hey,.

Theoretically, it is possible to swap the CPU, but an upgrade is not supported by Toshiba. This means that you lose the warranty and no one can say if other types of CPU are supported or not because there is no list with other processors.

Can also make sure that the current fan and cooling module is good enough for better CPU?

  • Is it possible to upgrade the processor in a Satellite M40 - 101?

I have 479 pin provided Pentiuma® M 730 1.6 Ghz processor. It is insufficient for some tasks more. So I would like to upgrade CPU, but is it possible?

    Hello

Theoretically, it is possible to upgrade the CPU but practically it is not easy to do.
The M40 comes with different CPU's.
As far as I know, these processors has been used and are compatible:
    -Processor Intel Dothan (533 MHz)
    730 1.6 GHz
    740 1.73 GHz
    750 1.86 GHz
    760 2.0 GHz
    770 2.13 GHz

It seems that notebook was shipped with the first.
But believe me; No one can tell if the laptop can run successfully after the CPU upgrade.
As you probably know the faster and more powerful processor produces more heat and this could lead to overheating of the laptop.
In my view, this is a serious problem and you should be careful

By the way: Please check this thread. The risk of upgrading have been described very detailed:

  • Tecra S1: It is possible to upgrade the 80 GB HARD disk

It is possible to upgrade the hard drive on my Tecra S1 on a 80 GB HDD +. If Yes, what is the maximum size and can recommend a disk.

I found some info, and it seems that you can only use a 30/40 and 60 GB HARD drive.
I guess that the 80 GB HARD drive will not be recognized by the BIOS correctly.

So officially his unsupported by Toshiba but if the socket on the motherboard and the chipset would support the new processor then you'd have a good chance to get the new processor running on this device.

  • Tecra A4: Is it possible to upgrade the processor to a Core 2 Duo

Anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the centrino pentium m 2.0 to a core 2 duo? I got contradictory responses from businesses of the model assumed in my area.

I don't know who to believe and don't want my laptop massacred by a hack who thinks he can do something that is not possible.

    Thank you!

    Hello

No, it is not possible to s!
Tecra A4 supports the Intel Pentium M (Dothan) and Intel Celeron M processor.

This processor Intel Dothan (533 MHz) are supported:
    7301.6 GHz / 740 1.73 GHz / 750 1.86 GHz / 760 2.0 GHz / 770 2.13GHz

and the processor Intel Celeron M (400 MHz)
    350 1.3 GHz / 360 1.4 GHz / 370 1.5GHz

Upgrade CPU on laptops is always risky!
Faster CPU will produce more heat and the temperature increases of higher level. The laptop could overheat!

  • HP laptop - 15-ac110na: is it possible to upgrade the processor?

Hi I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade the CPU on my laptop. It's a HP for laptop - 15-ac110na (ENERGY STAR). It is the CPU Intel(r) Pentium (r) CPU 3825U 1.90 GHz but I would exceed 3.0 GHz. If this is possible, is - could anyone recommend a new processor with more power and processing speed?

    Thank you very much.

Sort of. Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

The CPU is soldered on the motherboard would be the only way to upgrade to replace the motherboard which would cost about what you probably paid for your laptop. In other words, it could be done, theoretically, but makes no economic sense. Sell your laptop even if you take a loss and buy a new one with the processor you want and you will come out ahead. None of the available processors comes not far from 3 ghz., 2.4 is the fastest.

  • Is it possible to upgrade the processor on Satellite M70 - 354

    Hello!

Does anyone know: is it possible to upgrade the processor to the Satellite M70 - 354?

    Thank you
    Bastian

    Hello

Usually it of not possible to upgrade the processor.
Of course, some people here have managed to upgrade the processor, but following some functions and features as don t work module cooling.

I do not recommend upgrading the processor. No one knows if it runs correctly.
Some processors are welded on the map and there is no possibility to remove it.

This is why don t do if you are not sure it will work 100%!

  • A60-106: is it possible to upgrade the DVD/CD-RW combo

Hello. Anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the DVD/CD-RW combo on my A60-106? There is nothing wrong with the origonal, but DVD write speeds also have multiplied since I my A60. I burn a lot of discs, and any increase in speed would be a major asset. If the upgrade is possible, am I limited to real Tosh or is there any of the third-party available-based jobbies. My current drive is a Pioneer DVR-K13A.

    Thanks in advance.

    Brian

    Hi Brian,.

You can certainly replace your optical drive with a new. You will need to ensure that the new disk is the same size as the original (i.e. its physical dimensions), and uses the same connectivity as your original (master, slave, or Cable Select). This last point can be problematic, because very few third-party resellers list actually what setting of their readers.

As for the actual burn speed, you can see that other factors will affect this. you will find many posts in these forums related to the low burning rate.

    Good luck

  • Is it possible to upgrade the processor on Equium A60 - 155

    Hello

Is it possible to upgrade the processor on my Equium A60 - 155. There is currently a Celeron D 2.6 Ghz and its so slow! I can put a P4 chip in or is the motherboard a Celeron only (plug 7 a bell rings)?

    Thank you

As far as I know spend CPU is not possible and thereby you can upgrade RAM to the maximum level. You should also configure and optimize the pre-installed OS and I sure that you will be satisfied with your laptop of my.

In my opinion, the processor is powerful enough, but there are also other factors that may be responsible for slow operating system.

    Without this change.

GPU is a chipset that is soldered to the logic board or at least a mini-map attached to the logic board.  In addition, the stitching and the GPU driver are optimized for the preselected GPU.
