Is more recent (10.1) compatible with Norton 360 Firefox toolbar web secure / identity security

It's REALLY annoying when the first notice of the existence of this last version says toolbar from Norton 360 (Safe Web and Identity Safe) are not yet supported by Norton, and then the subsequent availability of this update notice is COMPLETELY silent on this issue.

The last time that I've upgraded, Norton was 'so-called' press the toolbar, I found myself run Norton LiveUpdate 13 times before the toolbar installed.

Anyone know about Norton and this latest version.

I'm PRETTY sure that many Firefox users use Norton 360 and Moxilla needs to do a better job of at least WE ADVISE if an available upgrade is or is not compatible.

Thank you!!!

First of all, we do not say what has changed in each version, http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/17.0/releasenotes/.

Secondly, Norton should always be able to delete your cookies (just so that you know that the cookies are generally harmless, and you don't need to worry to remove). If not, you can delete the cookies in Firefox Cookies - Information that Web sites store on your computer

  • Why is Firefox 42.0 not get updated to be compatible with Norton Identity Safe?

Although the Norton Toolbar now appears to 42.0, Identity Safe function does not work with. Firefox does not provide the same level of assistance navigation that makes Identity Safe from Norton, and using Firefox without the Identity Safe requires several additional keys and many more lost time. Norton make sure that the secure identity must be compatible, and it works fine in Internet Explorer. Norton claims that Firefox "Auditors" are always check program compatibility issues, but how long this process will take? Use Firefox without the Identity Safe is so cumbersome and time-consuming that I might have to try Google Chrome or go back to Internet Explorer, even if I used Firefox since it first came out. Please don't force me to spend. Thank you.

I understand its annoying, but the toolbar compatibility is something being developed by Norton, please also request their support.

  • Office jet 6500 HP has more: printer is not compatible with the new computer

    Hello!

I recently bought a HP Pavilion desktop computer and connected to my all in one HP officejet 6500 a more printer. I tried to use the scan function and a message informing that no computer has been detected.  I tried to install the CD however, a message appears indicating that the operating system on this computer was not supported.  Message continued, "the software can be installed on computers running the following systems, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7" (my old computer that was connected to the printer work with Windows Vista). The message advised me to upgrade the operating system on this computer or install this software on any other computer system.  I don't know what to do to get this printer compatible with my new computer.  Is this possible?  Help, please!

Hi there lavlock, RnRMusicMan is absent today. With 48 hours removed from this post, you are still in place and scanning? If so, I've always been a strong supporter of, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it. "

  • FF 4.0 incompatible with Norton 360. How can I uninstall 4.0 and back to 3.6?

I want to leave FF 4.0 and go to the old 3.6 version because I can't use Norton 360 I absolutely need and rely on. Can someone send a link on the 4.0 uninstalling and reinstalling 3.6?

Symantec focus on upgrades to make their modules works with Firefox 4. in the meantime, to return to Firefox 3.6, first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option 'remove my Firefox personal data '. If you select this option, it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

Then you can install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your favorite courses, passwords etc.

I recommend, to avoid possible problems with decommissioning, accessing your profile folder and delete the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Delete these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, check their compatibility and cancel the toolbar customizations.

  • Theoretically, unchecking an article in 'Services' of the System Configuration utility, stop that point to run. With Norton 360, it does not.

Norton 360 v.4 is the main difficulty.  While it's a wonderful program, there are times that it must be closed off so as not to cause interference with other things.  The program doesn't have a mechanism to turn it off.  It's the only way.  I had v. 3 and working - uncheck the circle of Norton 360 and it is turned off.  It started when I upgraded to v.4.  I even tried to go to 'Services' and tried to put it out there - will not turn off.  I encouraged Norton (through techno with whom I worked during more than four hours - took control of the machine and it is same thing.  We tried all the other kinds of things.  Finally, we agreed that Norton should have a button 'disable' or something under the program.  It would be nice if the device of services would turn it off, but...  I have a picture of what is going on with the utility system behind the message if someone wants to see it.   When I open the utility and do anything with any of the items I get this message: "access denied error was returned while trying to change a service.  You may need to log on using an administrator account to perform the specified change. "I AM the computer administrator and no one else using the computer.

Norton is a self-protection mechanism that prevents the normal access - you'd have to republish your query in one of the Norton forums and see if they can help.

  • With Norton 360, I need to move from Windows Live to Windows Outlook. Be transferred all my emails open when I run the new program?

Norton 360 does not work with Windows Live 64-bit.  I need to use Windows Outlook to avoid spending time by removing all the NOrton Anti Spam my Inbox mailbox in that each mail time comes.  All my messages open will be ftransferred to the Outlook program?  Is the change in Outlook so simple?

To transfer your Email see the following instructions:

Seeing as Outlook is such a nice money-spinner for Microsoft, I'm surprised that society makes it so difficult to move from WLM to Outlook. Wake up, MS engineers, create a wizzard that is easy to use, so that more people make the most of Outlook!

  • What Yahoo Toolbar is compatible with the new firefox 12

I can't find a yahoo toolbar that is compatible with the new Mozilla Firefox 12 I downloaded on my laptop. Firefox continues to advise me not to prosecute each download I try. Thank you

This post has a button "Allow" on this subject?

You should be able to press this button and install the toolbar.

The message is that you install an add-on that is not the official firefox add-ons site. That's fine, but firefox is just warn you that it happens. Without that WARNING malicious websites would be able to install the modules without your knowledge. It's just a check to ensure that you had intended to install an add-on.

I hope this helps. Let me know if the button allow does not work.
