  • Compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes

I downloaded iTunes 9 on my Tobisha laptop Satellite last night and put about 2.5 GB of music on it. I didn't upload the music from the internet. I used MP3s, I had for a few years.

When I went to boot up the laptop this morning the loading process took some time, but it never loaded to the login screen. I just see the bottom of MicroSoft. Is there a compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes? Maybe I put too much music on my laptop?

Boot in safe mode and delete iTunes and all the music I downloaded would solve the problem? Or it is less simple than that?

Don't know where to direct this question if any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

iTunes is compatible with Vista and there should not be any problem.
Yesterday, I installed iTunes 9 on my U400 and everything happened correctly.
If your laptop can not boot Vista correctly, then you should try the repair feature.

Turn on the computer and press F8. Now you will see the advanced boot menu.
    Now, you have many choices.

As a first step, you should try the option called: last good known Configuration (Advanced)

If this will not help and the Vista will not start then try the option called repair your computer. This option displays a list of system recovery tools, you can use to repair startup problems, run diagnostics, or restore your system.

If that does not help, then you will need to retrieve the unit using the Toshiba recovery disc or HARD drive recovery.

  • Are the games that are compatible with Vista, they are also compatible for Windows 7?

Are the games that are compatible with Vista, they are also compatible for Windows 7?

    Hello Karen W.

In large part, Yes.  I didn't fall on one that does not work on Windows 7, which was done on Windows Vista.  But by saying that I haven't met one who does not work on Windows Vista and I have a fairly large library of games.

The only thing that I actually noticied is lowest for the transition to 64-bit, where the 16-bit applications no longer works, and some games just there about 8 years ago still used 16-bit installers.

  • Just upgraded to Vista Home Premium to XP. Got a Packard Bell with RF for the Media Center remote control, worked fine with XP, but is no longer compatible with Vista.

after update to XP media center units Vista remote control

Just upgraded to Vista Home Premium to XP.  Got a Packard Bell with RF for the Media Center remote control, worked fine with XP, but is no longer compatible with Vista.  I checked the usb driver for the usb XF-10 rf remote receiver and it is fine, uninstalled and reinstalled it.  Handset was working fine a few days ago.  I also went in 'Administrator', 'services' and then active HID, but it still does not work.  Media works well, but it would be nice to have the operation of the remote control!  Not particularly computer, simply suggestions please!  Thank you, Nick.

    Hi Nicolas,

I suggest you to check the battery. Additionally, make sure that you have installed the right drivers for you Consumer IR Port.

  • How can I get my settings back after a game has been downloaded which was not compatible with Vista?

My son downloaded a game that was not compatible with Vista. I uninstalled the game, but my settings are very strange. They are great and my screens do not match the screen when I go online. Everything is out of whack.

    Hello

Do a system restore to before that was the problem.

"Using Windows 7 or Vista System Restore."

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

If this does not resolve the problem, go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer > look for a driver download section > find your computer model number and operating system > draft.exe last graph / video / chipset drivers (depending on how it is written it) > install them > change the screen resolution.

    "Change screen resolution".

    See you soon.

  • Need to know what video mini-DV cameras are compatible with Vista

I recently upgraded to Vista, only to find my mini-DV camcorder is not compatible :( I need to get a new one anyway, but I want to make sure that the new is compatible with Vista before buy you. The camera must be also mini-DV, like all my work is on mini-DV tapes. Is there a link to a Web page that lists the video camera models supported by Vista? Any help would be appreciated; my work pile up!

    Hi the SpinelessIdiot,

Microsoft has information about hardware compatibility for different versions of Windows, including Windows Vista. You can track the information of compatibility from the link below.

    See this link:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/search.aspx?type=hardware&s=mini%20DV

Check what DV - min camcorders are compatible with Windows Vista.

You can check the characteristics of the available camcorders and see one that meets your need.

Similarly, you can follow the compatibility information about other products. Search by product category (hardware and software) and the name of the product, or browse through the categories of hardware and software. Use the search to find one or two products. You can also use Browse to find information for multiple products from the same vendor, or product suppliers in a common category or subcategory.

    I hope this information helps!

    Kind regards

  • ZIRE 21 hot sync is not compatible with vista 64-bit program

ZIRE 21 hot sync is not compatible with vista 64-bit program - apparently it will work with 32-bit vista.  Is there a way to create a 32-bit only for the Zire 21 program without compromising the rest of my 64 bit OS computer? That's what Microsoft sent me. The help for this program was created in Windows format help, which was used in previous versions of Windows and it is not supported in Windows Vista.

For more information, see Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) is no longer included with Windows on the Microsoft Web site.

    Laughing out loud

You cannot change part of a 64 bit of Vista in 32-bit OS.

32 bit and 64 bit OSs are completely different operating systems.

    See you soon.

  • Z22. Is it compatible with Vista

Hi.Not not know if I have the right place to post this.

The Z22 runs with Vista I think to do a Z22 for Christmas. And if it does is it free software that I can download for the Z22. Thank you very much.

Hello and welcome to the Community Forums of Palm.

The Z22 is only compatible with Vista 32 bit, not 64 bit versions.  This is because the only way to synchronize the Z22 is with a USB connection (there no Bluetooth or Wi - Fi connection), and there is no available 64-bit Vista compatible USB drivers.  If your Vista 32 bit system, you should be fine but would need to download the new version of Palm Desktop, rather than the old version that comes with the unit. Support page the Z22 has links to download Palm Desktop and lots of other good info.

Regarding free software, there are tons of free applications of Palm and still more that only costs a few dollars.  www.FreewarePalm.com and www.palmgear.com are just a few suggestions.  Also check the Board software here for a thread stickied with several pages of critical software.

  • I need an email client with distinct identities that are compatible with Vista.

I could not upgrade to Vista XP, because I need an e-mail with a SEPARATE identity client.

Now 7 will come out tomorrow and no solution in sight.

I see dozens of customers and have seven POP separate accounts on my PC, directly related to different customers.

It is essential to maintain a complete separation between the e-mail accounts. Often the transmissions are delicate or confidential.

I tried to use Windows Mail, as a test on a second PC, but there is no way to maintain a clear distinction and separation between email accounts. It is too easy to send to the wrong account, at the wrong time, causing incredible embarrassment and set up the possibility of putting at risk the confidentiality of the customer.

I can't believe that Microsoft rejected arbitrarily Outlook Express, without any real consideration for users who have a specific need for a separate identity.

Is there a solution? Is there a mail client that works with Vista and 7, with the possibility for a SEPARATE identity?

    Help!

Microsoft Outlook is an email client that works with Vista and 7, with the possibility for a SEPARATE identity.  It is not free, but it does what you want.

    I hope that's not too simplistic.  :-)
