Is my default font: Arial 12 PT, but my email in Outlook Express turns in Times New Roman. How can I fix this problem?

My operating system is Windows XP 2003. I use Outlook Express to the mail, with the default font of Arial 12 pt. In the last weeks (unknown reason) all the messages that I sent appear in the font Times New Roman and I am unable to change Arial. How can I fix this problem?

If this did not help...
