  Try this short workaround:
  -Go to Device Manager and remove right CD / / DVD drive from the list of devices
  -Start the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
  -restart the laptop

  Now after the laptop has rebooted, the OS should reinstall the STRANGE and the STRANGE should appear in my computer.

  I would like to get some answers to my questions...

  I have the satellite A200-1CR (PSAE0) and I want to install vista on my own... not with the recovery DVD but I have some serious questions...

  (1) may I have problems during the installation... (Drivers SATA, etc.), problems of BIOS or Toshiba has no restrictions?

  (2) what problem if I erase the secret (winre) partition and what is its purpose?

  (3) if I do a clean install with my DVD with my vista... If I want in a future close that I can use the recovery DVDs I got it or not?

  (4) to the drivers section for my laptop for each part has 5,6,7 or 8 drivers for win vista... which is good, or it's all the same?

  As to the question;

  (1) possibly the Vista operating system does not recognize the HARD drive during the installation of the OS. In this case you must install storage Intel Matrix (Robson package) Manager first! It of a driver SATA and can be found on the Toshiba or Intel driver page.

  Now, I bought 1 x 2 GB RAM (DDR2 PC2-5300 (667 MHz); PA3513S-1M2G) but the BIOS and Windows recognizes only 1 GB.
  When I add 1x512mo to the second slot, the system recognizes 1.5 GB of RAM.
  Where is the problem?

  I think the answer is very simple.
  Satellite A200-1CR can be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM.
  This means that you can use max 1 GB of RAM in one slot
  You used 2 GB of RAM and this module does not seem to be compatible
  In my opinion if you want to use 2 GB of RAM then you can buy 2 x 1 GB RAM modules

  For most Wlan issues are related to problems of compatibility between the wireless network card and the Wlan router.
  Sometimes the Wlan driver allows to obtain the best performance.

• After the waiting on my Satellite A200 screen is black

  I would like to ask for help.

  I have problem when I close the lid of my Satellite A200 1 - HV (PSAECE). Computer is going to hold and after I opened the hood, laptop seems to work but display is always black. Only way to make it useful is once again turn the unit off (by the power button) and turn it on.

  Sometimes, the same problem occurs when the computer starts. After loading Windows (XP) the screen goes black and I can't do anything. Sometimes at startup of Windows but the resolution is 640 x 480 and color depth is 16 or even 4 bits!

  I don't know if it's a hardware or driver problem. My graphics card is a GeForce GO 7300. I tried to find one driver other than that on the official website of Toshiba but I can't. This problem is quite annoying. Sometimes I have to try 3 or 4 times until my departure from the computer correctly.

  All attempts to help will be really appreciated.

  Sorry mate but it s not possible to upgrade your system with a new processor because your system it s not like a desktop system that can be easily upgraded.
  The problem is, these components such as the processor and VGA are "wired" for the user, which means that the manufacturer of a lack of doesn´t of mobile system to change any of these comps.

  You may have a chipset that can handle more CPU, but the BIOS is not how you think. You will have massive problems since the cooling system are designed individually for each machine, but each unit has its own BIOS configuration and so on.

  Probably the most interesting is that you will lose your warranty if you really take apart your machine yourself.

  If the AC adapter doesn't supports exactly the same specifications as the original Toshiba AC adapter so I wouldn't recommend using it! This could damage the motherboard! So if you want to use it you must make sure that the ampere, Volt and Watt values are the same!

  The AC adapter belongs to the laptop and it s covered by the warranty also.
  So if you warranty is still valid, don t waste time and contact the ASP in your country!
  Explain what s bad guys and I m sure will be able to help. The adapter must be replaced if it s defective!

  In this case, I would not recommend using 3rd party adapters if you will get a new ASP.
