  In my opinion, it won't work because it is too old and not fast enough. Newer operating system that is supported by Toshiba is Windows XP and this should be the best choice for good old classic.

  Yes, you can install Win xp on this laptop, but you will need to use the drivers for Win XP 64-bit.

  European driver Toshiba page provides accurate drivers for 32it version, so you have to collect drivers 64-bit with your own hands...

  But to be honest; I do not recommend using Win XP 64 bit... either you choose 32 bit or Win 7 64 bit.

  Win XP 64 bit was not so popular as the 32-bit version and most of the applications and the software is compatible with the 32-bit version.

  I can imagine that the Win7 installation is possible. Problem is that this old machine is not supported for Win7 but it is supported for Vista. If I m remembering so many drivers, tools and utilities for Vista can be used with Win7. You just need to test.
