• Problem with the indicator parallel optimizer

  We are working on Oracle 11 g (11.2.0.1.0).

  Result of the query happens if we use the optimizer indicator. It sounds funny. According to the Oracle documentation, indicator optimizer needs only the performance impact.

  If we use the parallel indicator (for example, / * + parallel (6) * /), then we are able to go read the hint in parallel records and if we do not, then we get no line.

  It could be a bug of "bad results" by an index (which can be used in non parallel execution plan).  You can try to ALTER INDEX index-name STRUCTURE ENTER and ALTER INDEX index-name VALIDATE STRUCTURE CASCADE.  If the Index is corrupted, you will have to drop and CREATE the index (a simple ALTER INDEX REBUILD indexname cannot solve the problem)

• How to stop the 2 parallel loops

  Hi all

  I have a vi (see attached example) that can be closed in 2 ways:

  (1) user has pressed a button 'Quit' (with a LATCH action) on the GUI.

  (2) the user tries to close the cover by pressing the Red "X" in the upper right.

  The vi contains 2 parallel loops: a main loop that contains the actual code and a 2nd loop containing a stop of vi events.

  The problem is, while the "narrow Panel?" event works very well and finished the 2 loops, isn't the event "value change.

  Then, when I press the button Exit the vi does not stop.

  Any good idea how should I apply it?

  From my experience, a ValueChange event is not raised when you write to a local variable.  I see two quick options:

  You could write the value by using the Value property node (Signaling) (which raises the ValueChange event).

  Or you could simplify things a bit and just use a local variable.  I prefer this option.  See attachment.

  You can disable Siri in settings/general if you want to completely disable the function.  I suppose that you use the Home button to return to the home screen.  If you press the button too long, Siri is enabled.  Too long is not very long, so you must quickly press and release the Home button.

  Thank you, Patrick. I tried on another computer (Dell T5400) and everything worked as expected. I think that the problems I have experienced on the first computer were due to a conflict with a PXI driver for another card I have not installed during my tests (and which I did not know was PXI, but he appeared as a PXI device in M & A once I put it in it should have a kind of PCI - PXI bridge internal?).   As I advised, you should take the free online tutorials. You clearly lacks the basic concepts of LabVIEW, as data flow.

  Things more: in your real applicaton does not use DAQ Assistant, screw Express are generally not optimal for data acquisition. It is safer and better use good DAQmx live. What is the equipment you use? Sampling rate, etc.?

  Why do you need to read data files? For testing? I thought that you will acquire data active, right? In your VI generate you some signals and write in a data file. Is this also for testing?
