  I've implemented insert/update/delete in all flavors with the 1.0 api. I try to use version 2.0 api with c# .net and am not finding any code in the example. I don't need a lot, a sample of a work in c# for web services 2.0 query would be nice. The web services guide does not exactly help here.

  In 9 years. I re XP 5 times because it was the ONLY done fixthat my Dell Dimension 8250 run fast. I kept all the updates, ran the cleaners of files, defragmented the hard drive, put the parameters to performance don't not Visual, even added more than 512 MB ram (1 GB total) that has MADE for a month or 2 really speed things up, but it is also to slow. The last time I put the XP disk in there was this msg: "Setup cannot continue because the version of windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD. ANY HELP is HIGHLY appreciated as this is the measure of my ability of fix - it - happy to post here any info you need to diagnose this bottleneck problem, thanks, Patrick

  Do yourself a favor. After your next relocation and after you get it until you're happy with it (install SP3 and all subsequent security patches, install all the programs that you use regularly, install a good antivirus, install the latest versions of Adobe Flash and Java, etc.), make an image of your hard drive. This way you will EVER need to reinstall your OS again! Acronis and Paragon are good programs. DriveImageXML is a good gift (but doesn't have as many features as imaging programs paid).

  About the General slowness, here are the usual causes:

  1. malware (malware). You need to rule out first! This page has excellent information:

  2. some programs aimed at combating malware (for example, Norton and McAfee). Ironically, they can slow things down because they use simply much too many resources.   To determine each program and process, you are running, use the task (Ctrl + Alt + Delete) Manager and click the processes tab. You should be able to sort by CPU usage or memory usage for a good ideas that are resource/memory hogs. You must write the names of all the processes for future detective work (or take a snapshot and print it).

  I don't know about the technical note that probably solved the problem but the 'My pictures' folder is in its default location and I don't want to mess around in the registry.  My Lightroom 5.3 works very well.

  Yesterday, I received a notice that a new version of DxO is out so I thought I'd install it on trial.  This morning I tried something in the folder my pictures and now there are now two of them.  We got some stuff in it (because I use it), the other is empty.  The second folder MyPictures appeared yesterday.  So apparently there was something wrong with my folder MyPictures that neither loved program (why is a concern is still a mystery) but DxO has been smart enough to create what it takes, and Adobe was not!

  So I tried to reinstall Lr 5.4 and now it installs and runs without incident and is still using the old folder MyPictures, just as it did in previous versions.

  You don't need to buy a new product key.

  Use the appropriate method of re-setup to reinstall Vista and activate it.

  There are several methods to reinstall Vista.
