Is there a way lot of XP wireless network configurations?

We have many users who need to connect to our new wireless network. They are all running Windows XP pro. I'm trying to see how we can configure their machines via a batch file.

Thank you.

  • WVC200 - is there a way to check if wireless actually at work

    Hello

I tried to implement a new WVC200 purchesed for quite a while now. I don't run no problem via an Ethernet cable. However, I'm unable to configure for Wireless, despite a work of wireless network with a desktop computer and 2 laptops connected without problem.

With the help of the installer on the CD I get the last part until the changes are saved - registration fails with the message:

    ' Save the configuration failed!
    Please chech your network condition.

I also tried setting wireless upward through the utility of Web browser without success. My network use WPA encryption and read some of the messages here, I wondered if that was the problem. However, I got the same error when I used WEP then tried to disable the security on the network.

    Here is what I use:

    camera - WVC200
    router - Thomson TG585

I wonder if wireless is currently working on the camera in the first place and if there is a way to check this before you spend more time putting in place.

    concerning

    Hi icebreaker

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have successfully upgraded the Firmware to the last available on the site - I don't have the camera here to confirm the version number but the updated Firmware has been reported in the Installer application.

WPA AES, which is what the Thomson router seems to bear and I noticed that the camera was looking for TKIP. However, I tried with WEP and no security to test, with no luck either. I am steady with the camera within 10 feet of the router and receive an error message. check the status of the network and the network seems not yet to "see" the camera as such and the wireless LED is not turning on. That's why I was wondering if the wireless was defective.

    Thanks again

  • Is there a way to authenticate a wireless connection in Windows 7 without defining the wireless to connect automatically and then restart?

Windows 7 machines tell unauthenticated when connected wireless to our domain. The unauthenticated message disappears if we connect automatically to wireless connection and restart. Is there a way to authenticate without a connection to the wireless automatically and restart? For example, I would like to connect manually to the wireless, whenever I want and as soon as I do that authenticates.

I use a router configured medialink wireless more as a wireless switch. DHCP comes from our server. Security is WPA-Personal. I also tried to use a different wireless router configuration with a radius with PEAP server and that does not work either. The server radius authenticated the user, but the message on the computer remained the same: "domain.local 2 unauthenticated.

Each way in which users are able to access the resources, but this message is driving me crazy. We do not get this message on all XP machines.

Client side, I tried to turn on the discovery of the network, joined the field, turn off any firewall (only using windows), updated drivers NETWORK card, update the firmware on the router, etc..

    Am I missing something?

  • Using Zyxel wireless network configuration

Using Panel to have Windows configure my system to use a wireless connection to internet via Zyxel USB. Using Windows options, network, Network Setup and configuration of wireless network connection me don't upset none the case. I understand there is a way that Windows will automatically connect. I need to update my Windows? I would like assistance. Bill

    Thanks for the information.

No, you don't need an update.

I do not understand your answer to no. 5, in particular "the material was not recognized by Windows, it requires a manual boot without Windows manages the connection of the device to the router."

In Windows, there are basically two ways that a wireless adapter can be controlled.  Windows can control the unit by using a feature called 'Wireless Zero Configuration' or a utility provided by the manufacturer of the card.  As a general rule, you want one or the other - not both active at the same time.

If the icon you are referencing is a 'Z' in a box (http://tinyurl.com/cjn3mje), then the Zyxel utility is in charge.   Which is perfectly OK (and probably provides more features than Windows WZC), but I'm not familiar with the details of using the Zyxel utility.  If you identify the model of your adapter, I can see if I can find his online user manual, and explain the steps you need to take

If you use the Zyxel or Windows WZC utility, you must take the basic steps are the same:

    1. search for available wireless networks.
    2. identify your network in the list that is displayed (this is your SSID or 'Network name')
    3. click on "sign in".
    4. Enter the encryption password when you are prompted.

Did you do the above?  That's happened?

    Additional information:

Windows WZC automatically saves the connection (SSID and password) information once you connect successfully.  I don't know if the Zyxel utility done automatically or if you explicitly save a 'profile' with the data.

Any utility that you use, you must know the SSID of your router and the password for the encryption.  Verizon technology that installed your router should provide you with this information.  It can also be written on a label on the bottom of the router.

If you do not have - or lost - this information, you can find it by connecting to the router.  Preferably, you should do this using an Ethernet cable - assuming you can get your computer back close enough to the router.  You will need to know the name of user and password to connect to the router.  Again, Verizon technology would have to provide this information for you.

As far as I can determine '20.10.7' is the revision number of the firmware of your router.  I believe - but am not sure - that the user guide is here--> http://www.actiontec.com/support/doc_files/MI424WR_Rev._E&F_User_Manual_20.10.7_v1_GPL.pdf

  • T61 Wireless Network Configuration

Hi I'm trying to set up a wireless network small office at home. I created a profile on the other two machines with XP pro. I have a cable router and all can connect through it when I try to create a network home with logins that he seems to think that I want to connect to a different router in a different place, while I use my router to create network wireless home office. I'm better off the coast of uninstallation of access connecitons. It seems that he manages this difficult work or can someone point me in the right direction. I loooked at Lenovo's article on it, but their images of their way to access connections is different from my dial-up connection. I have updated and update regulaily with system update. Advice and prayers... Please... Don't tak the last comment as confirmation that I believe in God or and beyond...

    Hi flambo,.

I would recommend just UN-installing of logins. You can switch between networks without thread too easily (IMHO) with the standard tools of Windows networking.

    See you soon,.

  • Is there a way lot of link media in prelude instead of a file at a time?

I work on a project file and the media on an external drive.

I copied the structure of the whole of the folder/file to another drive (to test how it would work because I will not be editing the final draft). Prelude opens the project file, but it asks me to engage the media. Is this possible in the form of lots? It seems I have to bind a file at a time.

    Thank you!

    It did not work.

I had an online chat with the customer support. The conclusion was that of prelude does lot link media.

Effectively, this means that the files/folders can be shared among a group of editors working on a single project with Prelude. My current project, for example, has more than 200 media inside files. I have not the time to lose to link each file individually.

It is a design flaw in the prelude. Batch linking is needed to make this useful product for a group of editors. As it is, the prelude seems to work very well for a journalist working alone with a computer and a disk.

Now, I'm worried how Prelude will work with the Prime Minister. The editor works on the current project will use a different machine after having finished a rough cut with Prelude. Is it we have to connect each individual file to make the first prelude editing work?

Thank you for your help. Adobe needs to add a lot linking functionality to make this useful product.

  • Filtering addresses MAC wireless network configuration error

    Hello

I got my printer (Deskjet 3510) some time ago and set up no problem for wireless printing. Yesterday, all of a sudden, it stopped connecting to the network. I have reset the wireless settings and ran the CD to re-establish the link. Now, when I get to all wireless to the top of the page it says «Filter error WiFi - hardware MAC address has been filtered out and do not < SSID >...» »

I checked my router settings 2-wire AT & T (U-Verse) and address filtering MAC is not enabled. I did a scan and he picked up a bunch of MAC address and put them in the "Authorized" zone Is the MAC address of the printer. I tried enabling MAC address filtering, and it still does not connect. If at the moment I have the printer working via USB, MAC address filtering on the router go out but I still get the error. I have not changed the position of the printer or router as he worked. Not aware of any update of applied software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Mac address filtering error is one that is given for a multitude of errors, it is not very useful in this way.

On the front of the printer, press the wireless button and go wireless by default.  Restart your router by pulling its plug momentarily, and then try again

  • Creating a wireless network

I have a desktop HP m7250n with Windows XP Media Center Edition (32 bit) operating system.  This is related to my modem/router.  I would like to know what I have to do to allow my laptop's wireless operation, running Windows 8 operating system and my tablet, Tablet, Android Jelly Bean 4.2 running within my living space.  I am really a novice and have no experience with such things. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could guide me through this.

    Hey Noirion,

Microsoft has a good article on how to do this: https://www.microsoft.com/athome/organization/wirelesssetup.aspx

    Basically, you'll need:

    • Internet connection at home
    • Wireless router
    • Devices (such as your laptop and Tablet)

Since there are infinite combinations of internet providers, hardware (modems for example) that they use and wireless routers - it isn't really a step by step guide "one-size fits all". The main steps are:

    1. Buy a wireless router. There are a lot of routers wireless on the HP Official Store.
    2. Follow the instructions supplied with the wireless router to connect to your internet service (via modem).
    3. Set up some kind of security for your wireless network (ideally WPA2 security with a password that you choose) - many wireless routers have a "Setup Wizard" which allows you to configure security. You do not want your neighbors or strangers to connect to your network home!
    4. Configure your wireless devices (book of exodus, compressed, PS3, etc) to connect to your network wireless by selecting the name of your wireless network and entering the password you chose, all network configuration menus on your specific devices.
    5. Enjoy wireless connectivity!
  • 114 the desire does not connect to Asus all-in-one wireless but connects to the wireless network

I just bought my HP ENVY 114 e all-in-one last week and I tried to connect it to my computer (Asus all-in-one Windows 7 64-bit) and while he wil connect to my wireless very well my computer (or my cell phone which is also an Asus running windows 7 64 - bits) cannot identify it.

Using the disc doesn't help nor did try manually to add in 'Add printer' in my computer and all the interest to get this particular printer was because it was wireless. If I have to plug in a USB key then I have saved money and bought a less expensive model. All my devices are on the same network, and their firewalls is turned off so that it does not hinder the process.

When you browse the drive Assembly he asks the IP and I get it exactly as it is on the screen printer that I even printed it out and double checked 5 times and it was exactly the same, but he keeps asking for me to be reintroduced to it since the computer cannot identify the printer.

Any help would be great I prefer not to have to pack up this thing and take it back...

Unfortunately, the router and the printer do not get along at this stage.  The IP address changes too often and it is possible that the router has its own firewall.  A large number of firewalls, outside the Windows Firewall, sees a lot of traffic from hpnetworkcommunicator.exe and blocks preventing the software to find the printer.

I saw this model of router and it doesn't have a built-in firewall.  Unfortunately, I could not see their manual without you register on the site.

It may be preferable to set a static IP address for the printer in the router's routing table.  To do this, you acceding to EWS the router.  If you don't know how to set the printer's IP address in the router, you can try to contact the vendor of the router.

Otherwise, I would recommend checking the firewall of the router.  I saw a router cause problems with an overactive firewall in place.

If you happen to have an extra router around, you can try to use it instead of Paul's to confirm that it is the router.

    EDIT

You can try to put a static IP address on the front of the printer.  I'm personally not too successful with setting a static IP address on the front panel when the SAP does not load, but this could be one of those cases where it does not.

First, print a Network Setup page by going to Configuration > Wireless > Network Configuration > print Network Configuration.

Then, go to settings > network > IP settings > change to the manual.

Once it is replaced by the manual, it should allow the IP address, default gateway and the subnet mask.  Use the subnet mask and default gateway of the print network configuration.  Use an IP address that is not in use on the network.  You can change the last number of the IP address on the print.  For example, 192.168.1.50 could be converted to 192.168.1.250.

Setting a static IP address on the front panel does not set servers DNS which is necessary for ePrint operate on this printer.  Now that the static IP address has been set on the front panel of the printer, try to access the SAP by entering the IP address that comes to be defined in a browser address bar.  If the printer load, you should be able to set DNS servers and be ready to go from there.

  • Local access only on wireless network

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite L350-203 with Vista SP1 HPE) has lost the ability to connect to the internet using my home network. I have McAfee Internet Security and charge of IE8, but both were present before the problem appeared. My home network is now displayed as 'unidentified public network' and the laptop has "local access only". He seems unable to keep the WEP key for the network as it asks everytime I try to connect. I confirmed that the WEP key is correct. There are 3 other computers in the House that connect without a problem, so I guess that the router is not the source of the anomaly. I tried accessing another network to another place (with any necessary safety information) but get the same result, so that other computers can connect successfully. I am able to access the internet via an account mobile broadband (using a "dongle"), but I added this account after the problem appeared, so once I don't suspect it as being the culprit. Diagnosis in the "network and sharing Center" routines are unable to solve the problem, so any help is most welcome.

    Roy Mac

    Hello Roy Mac,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

You receive an error or the error codes when you try to connect?  You're obviously network savy upward so if something seems repetitive please ignore, you tried to delete the location and replace?   Is there any software for the high account mobile broadband that could changed settings?  Are you able to connect to the router with an ethernet cable access to the internet without problem?

A wireless network uses authentication and encryption to help stay secure. Authentication controls access to the wireless network. Encryption helps to ensure that malicious users cannot determine the contents of wireless data frames.  Windows Vista includes a new wireless network configuration setting. The new setting indicates whether a wireless network is broadcast or not broadcast. You can also use the new configuration setting that a Windows Vista wireless client connects to a non-broadcast network.

I've added two links below one for Microsoft and one for the installation of networks and networks the Toshiba site.  Please let us know status.   Thank you!

The software that you used with Windows XP to connect to wireless networks is not compatible with Windows Vista. Alternatively, you can use Windows Vista to configure wireless networks.

To connect to a wireless network in Windows Vista, follow these steps:

    1. click on Start

    Collapse this includes this image

, then click on connection to.

    2. click on the wireless network you want to connect, and then click connect.

Note During the connection process, you may be prompted for a key WEP Wired Equivalent Privacy (). If you do not have this key, contact the network administrator to help wireless.
