Is there a way to change the internet browser used by Windows Update?

The only reason I do this is because I have another browser that I use, and I never use Internet Explorer. I wanted to uninstall Explorer, but I thought that if I did, I could not use Windows Update.

Lol for Windows XP, you must use IE for WIndows Update because WU use an ActiveX control, other browsers do not support.
