Is there an option 'Search' in the web browser?

I was looking through an app as html user's guide.  It was very long, so I was hoping to 'find' a specific word, as I do with 'ctrl-f' in IE.  I've sought help but saw nothing.  Please tell me that I am a fool who cannot understand this and that we are not to miss such a basic feature.

Currently this feature is not available.

  • Disable the back button in the web browser in Windows 7

I recently bought an X 201 and I would like to disable the browser web back and forward buttons, because I keep erasing inadvertently e-mails in web environments. I found a document that describes using the ThinkVantage keyboard customizer to do this, but it does not appear that there is a demand for Windows 7.

Is there another way to disable the web browser buttons in Windows 7, or is there a different software should I download?

    Thanks for your help.

I could solve this problem by using the customizer keyboard for Windows Vista. It can be downloaded at:

It seems that your address bar will redirect you to a web site. The subject: config 'page' is a built-in configuration tool that does not behave like a web site. Make sure that you are not using http: or www or any field ending when access about: config.

If you cannot load on: config in the address bar, temporarily change your homepage settings for about: config, and then click the Home button. Does it work?

  • Exporer Windows will launch the web browser to search for

IM using windows 7 32 bit with all updates. If I type a name of file/folder that does not exist in the address bar of windows explore my default browser is automatically open and try to open a web site. I understand kind of this behavior if I typed http:// but not everytime I type something wrong. also another really annoying is lets say I right click on "Program Files" and select "Copy as path" Explorer copy "C:\Program Files" with quotes. now I paste "C:\Program Files" him explore exactly the template and launch my web browser. really from microsoft? Why you cannot use double quotes for files/folders in Explorer, is beyond me.

If I type 'c' in the address bar windows changes it too "http://c/" and attempts to open the web site in my browser. If I type in "\c" I get the msgbox "Windows cannot find '\c'. Check the spelling and try again. "that's what I want EVERY TIME. Windows Explorer should NEVER automatically open a web browser. If for some strange reason you don't want this option, you can click on the small option 'Search' in the menu dropdown. Ive tried penetrating every sentence that I can think of, but I can't find any info on how to disable this option and I can not even find someone else complaining about this. I can't be the only person that it annoys.

between this behavior and when in windows search and selecting 'Open in a new window' and click here and then clicking in the address bar and get something "search - ms: displayname = search % 20resultats % 20 in % 20Local % 20Disk % 20 (C % 3A) &crumb=location:C%3A%5C\Program files." right click and selecting one of the options "Copy address" aren't better. so if you just want to go up a folder you start opening new windows and by cutting and pasting which is ridiculous. I don't understand how microsoft can screw something towards the top so bad especially when it worked fine under xp. If I wanted to get a browser open web site id myself. It is such an inconvenience.

    Thank you

    Hello jonjonjonj,

Click Start and select default programs.
    Click set program Associations.
    Scroll down to Windows Search.
Here, you can set the default program you want to open Windows Search.
By default, it must be set to Windows Explorer.

    I hope this helps.

You can install and activate up to 2 Macs for your own use. That would leave you with a spare part if something were to happen with your old Mac.

However if you are going to get rid of, see help > deactivate, then also check the option to remove the serial number power the computer off.

Then go to your folder CS6 use the Uninstall.app to properly remove Photoshop. Do not drag the folder to the trash.

You can install fresh on your new Mac from your drive, turn and look for the updates.

As a note: do not move or copy your old installation of Photoshop to a new Mac.

I don't know if you have Animations of text in your project? If so, you probably have problems due to the latest version of Flash Player. There is a fix that is not found in this Captivate blog post:

  • problem with opening pdf file of the web browser

I have Acrobat Pro ver 6 and Adobe Reader 9.1 on a computer.  When my user tries to open a pdf file from the web as it gets the following error message:

"Adobe Acrobat/Reader that not running to view the PDF files in a WEb browser.  ADBE Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required.  Quit and try again. »

What also happens is that Acrobat Pro 6 worm opens and nothing is there.

I don't know why he received this message from Reader 9.1 is installed.

One can shed some light on this for me.

This user must have Acrobat and Reader on its system.  I understand that there are problems with having both.

It has also set up so that any PDF opens using Reader 9.1.

    Thank you

Configuration of your PC drive by default for embedded PDFs has become confused, because of multiple solutions of Adobe PDF documents installed on a PC.

    Solution 1:

    Go to start > run

Type regedit, and then click OK.

Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe

Make sure that the correct default data value is set to the path where are installed the Adobe Reader or Acrobat.

    The default installation values are:

    "C:\Program 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe Adobe.

    or

"C:\Program Files\adobe\acrobat 6.0\acrobat\Acrobat.exe" (not sure of this path.  Make sure that on your PC)

If Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat is installed.

    Solution 2:

Configure the browser to use Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application.

If you use Firefox to browse the web, you can change this setting in Firefox by clicking on:

    Tools > Options

    Click on the "Applications" tab

The first item in the list should be "Adobe Acrobat Document".  In the Action list, click the drop-down arrow and select the application you want to read a PDF file in the web browser.  Click OK and you should be done.

If you use Internet Explorer to view a PDF file, try the steps below.

After you configure Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application, the browser starts the helper application in a separate window and displays PDF files within this window. Acrobat and Adobe Reader both include a preference that allows you to specify the Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application.

To configure Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application:
    Start Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
    Choose Edition > Preferences.
    Select Internet on the left.
Deselect Display PDF in browser using [Acrobat application], and then click OK.
    Quit Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
The next time you select a link to a PDF file in the browser, a dialog box asking what you want to do with the file. If you select open, the browser opens the PDF file in Acrobat or Adobe Reader (request for assistance); If you select save it on the disk, the browser saves the PDF file on your hard drive.

  • Help the title in the web browser

    Hi all
I use 7 HR and WebHelp output. I wanted to change the title of the label for the help who starts in the web browser. We use Internet Explorer as the default browser. Currently, the title of the tab is the same as the project name that is the same as the launch of help file. For example my project name is Help_RH.xpj and the boot file is Help_RH.htm. In the Help_RH.htm file, I can change the title of aid between the Help_RH < title > < /title > line but it will last until the next exit.

Is there a method in RH I can permanently specify the title of the help that appears in the browser tab and don't have to manually change in the Help_RH.htm file whenever I generate an output?

    Thank you
    -Azi

I just find the answer to my question. Title name can be changed in the file > option setting of the project. Sorry if I wasted all the time. Thank you.

  • How can I increase the size of the police on request or the web browser?

Everything I print (Word or the web) fate of the tiny print... I read the post that says that the font size is controlled by printing application or program and increase the font size on the web browser or application.    How do I do that?

You talk to a novice here... guess you knew about this right?

    Hi susan911,

I don't know that you're a novice, because you told me.

You are enough common sense to have navigated your way to the HP Forums! Change font size in IE can indeed be a difficult task. In Internet Explorer, click on tools, select Internet options, on the general tab, click Accessibility, click in the box next to ignore font sizes specified on Web pages and click OK, then click OK again. Now you can click view, select text size and choose a suitable text size.
