Microsoft Security Essentials is it a scam?
Hello
My computer is a little weird and then all of a sudden I couldn't use internet or Mircrosoft word, which I had used when the computer went funky. When I tried to use them, a red-themed window with Microsoft Security Essentials at the top. It is said that it detects a Trojan horse and I need to remove it then says scanner online. When I do shows like 20 different anti-virus programs, which he has only three which can get rid of the virus.
I don't remember installing this program, this SCAM or virus? What should I do?

Microsoft Security Essentials disables Windows Defender in Vista?
Can error 0x800106ba on any attempt to open code I Defender. I also acquired McAfee at some point, but I uninstalled it hundreds of years ago but I still have the same error message whenever I try to open Windows Defender. Help, please
It is not fair to McAfee posing problem with the Defender:
Windows Defender:
If you have Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, McAfee, Norton, etc. installed, they have a conflict with Windows Defender, or turn it off.
Microsoft Security Essentials has its own integrated version of the defender and should automatically disable the version of Vista in Windows Defender.
If it's not:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Defender-on-or-off
Turn Windows Defender on or off the information on the link above of Microsoft.
Hope the above explains the common compatibility issues with Windows Defender and other security programs.
See you soon.
Mick Murphy - Microsoft partner
Hello, just to be sure I have the correct information, Windows Defender lights not in Windows Vista with Microsoft Security Essentials, as Essentials has its own version of the Defender. The error code I received is the same as the previous posts in which is: 0x800106ba. Again, just to be sure, I understand, I should stop trying to turn Defender because Security Essentials has covered it, okay?
Separated from the:
Hello
Yes; Microsoft Security Essentials should disable Windows Defender for the reasons you mentioned.
If she didn't turn it off, you should manually have to do it anyway.
This information explains Microsoft explained:
Q: is - this installation of Microsoft Security Essentials (XP/Vista/7) disable Windows Defender?
A: Microsoft Security Essentials should disable Windows Defender in Vista and Windows 7, and then uninstall it from XP. In some cases, this does not happen automatically.Q: what happens if I do not disable or uninstall Windows Defender, if I use Microsoft Security Essentials (XP/Vista/7)?
A: If Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender are both running, your system can know the performance degradation and other problems caused by the conflict of two services providing real-time protection at the same time.See you soon.

My computer, one almost four years, Dell Inspiron 1454 with Windows XP Pro, continues to freeze when left to sit for a few minutes. Also, I discovered that when I run the Microsoft Security Essentials quick or full scan analyzing stops on the file HP Digital Imaging mentioned above several times. I was wondering if this means something on the reason why the computer freezes up. Also, Windows Live Mail continually lets me know that it is "not responding." Yet once, I guess it's because of the freezing problem not Windows Live Mail is the cause. I do not know. I made some different system using different dates restorations and who has not solved anything so far. I use the computer during a run without problem, but if I have a cup of coffee, for example, I have to restart when I return. Sometimes, the slider moves, sometimes not, but no matter the computer is unresponsive after that I took a break or just out of the blue when I try to open an e-mail or another task. I guess it's time for a Mac, but I thought I'd see if anyone has some ideas on how to solve this problem. Thank you!
Hello, Olivia,.
This problem is probably due to an outdated HP Digital Imaging monitor. Even if you decided to switch to a Mac, the question may still popup because you have installed hpqthb08.exe.
Fortunately, there is an update that you can apply.
SP26427. EXE
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-26169-1&LC=en
Or you can simply disable HP Digital Imaging Monitor.

When you open the e-mail, the arrow cursor has the blue circle that runs continuously. There are some letters lapping on the e-mail page. No old or new emails cannot be opened. Two weeks ago, I installed Microsoft Security Essentials and this problem has been resolved until today; the same problem to access old e-mail is back.
Try to compact and repair the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/). Then in security essentials exclude the eml files of research (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3), because this results in a mismatch between the WinMail database and what is actually in the message store, generating problems such as you see.
See if that fixes the problem. You can also try to remove your e-mail account and then closing and reopening of Winmail opener and then add it again. See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for information about the message from WinMail store organization.
