Buckmaria,

When you download a free song from the iTunes Store, it looks in your library, like any other song.  If you want to mark separately for future reference, then you can use add something (for example 'free') in one of the fields, as the grouping or comments.

Hi, which is the best free music download for mac application? I m looking for an application that download music directly to iTunes.Hope, I get a few recommendations.

    Thank you

Free music, you mean legal music? Sorry I had to ask, but the music is usually paid for and not free. Give most of the download sites free tracks, including iTunes - Sainte-Cécile - EP of the Foo Fighters is free on iTunes at the moment around the world

Game Google also offer free titles... it not what the rest of us do, pay for it.

  • iPhone delete all iTunes except album U2 free music!

I had an iPhone 6s for 3 months with no problems.  Last night I connected my iPhone to my iMac to load all night, like I always do.  In the morning, 99 + % of all my music on the iPhone has been deleted.  (It was still on my iMac, and I was able to restore everything, it took 8 hours to do, since there are about 90 GB of music).  With almost 10,000 songs in my music library (which were on the iPhone), the * only * DO NOT deleted songs were 10 titles I bought from iTunes, free U2 album that Apple offered increasingly (and why they are so *).  (I think the U2 album came pre-installed on the phone, if I remember, but I finally deleted it previously).

A friend suggested I look to see how the phone is synchronized to the iMac and, of course, the box that says "sync any iTunes library" was NOT checked.  (Of course, I had checked at the origin of this box, which is how I got my entire library to transfer in the first place.  "And I have ever returned to this screen since then.)  So, I checked this box once again and re-installed the entire library.

    So, a few questions:

    1. it happened to someone else?

    2. are these possible clues to anyone:

    a. only songs not deleted were those purchased through iTunes (Yes, only 10 of the 10,000).

    b. free U2 album mysteriously reappeared.

    c. Despite 'losing' nearly 90 GB of music from iPhone, the bar capacity (that thing at the bottom that shows how much storage is available on your iPhone, and how much is used by music, photos, etc.) remained unchanged.  In other words, even if there were now only 20 songs on the phone, he always says that the music was about 85 GB of space (and the phone had about 32 GB of free space, as he did before all the songs have disappeared).

All very strange to me.  Thanks to all those who might have some constructive thoughts on this.

    1. no doubt.  Not for me.

    2 - Yes.

For a and b - I do not think that these remaining songs were actually stored ON the iPhone at this time there.  They are your songs purchased (including the U2 album which is considered to be a purchase).  You probably saw them on the iPhone since Apple servers ("iCloud").  It's the same thing as being able to see purchased TV shows and movies (if you have) on your iPhone and play them in streaming from Apple servers.  That's why you have not seen these '10 in 10,000' songs, because they are items purchased, and you have the advantage of being able to listen to them without the files stored on your iPhone.

C - likely cause is corruption of data on the iPhone store.  For some reason, the song files have been is most recognized by as records of songs by the on-board iPhone software.  The songs you've seen (after the problem) were not saved on the iPhone; they have been seen since the Apple servers because they are purchased items.  You can do a restore on the iPhone via iTunes, in case there is still corruption of data.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod settings - Apple Support

After the restoration, use the latest iPhone backup you must leave before the problem.  Update the applications according to the needs.  Then, sync your music library.

    Hello JMarione,

Thank you for your message.  Because it's really a question of iTunes I refer you to http://www.apple.com/au/support/itunes/.  Support you should get it will ensure that all your media will be transferred correctly.  This is a forum for Vista, and many people have different one from the other configurations.  A good answer for a single person on this forum could still lose you some of your files, because the installation program may be different.  Good luck.

    See you soon

  • Could not import the music downloaded from iTunes for Windows Movie Maker.

Could not import the music downloaded from iTunes for Windows Movie Maker.  He plays in Windows Live Movie Maker and plays on my computer.  Cannot find the codec. Tried the solution to this same question and in help.

    Hello

Some audio and video file formats are not supported in Windows Movie Maker and cannot be imported. However, if you have a video or audio file that is not taken care of, you can use a non-Microsoft video editing software to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker, and then import the video file or an audio resulting in Windows Movie Maker. Some files also require you to install a codec before you can use the files in Windows Movie Maker.
Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

A problem of importing files into Windows Movie Maker

Windows Movie Maker uses. WAV file formats and Apple's iTunes use it. AAC format.
You can also try saving iTunes songs in the. WAV format instead of Mp3 format and check.

  • Deleting files from music downloads...

I know it's kinda a stupid question, but coming from my username, you should know that the knowledge that I am the owner of these issues is very, VERY limited. So I would like to know what will happen if I delete my music downloaded from my "Downloads" section in the Finder files to free up space. Would not remove my music which is already stored in correct Itunes?

Just a simple 'yes he would", or"So it would be no."is very good for an answer because I do not understand if you enter complicated details.

    Thank you!

Are you sure that downloading music is also in iTunes?  If you are sure that you have added music in iTunes successfully downloads, then those downloads are safe to delete.

The short answer, you asked is not, it would not be in normal circumstances.

  • iTunes Store stuck download

I recently bought an iPad mini 4.  In the iTunes Store began downloading the songs and then stopped these songs (an album) are no longer available in the store.  I can't remove the stuck downloads.  IPad power off (by pressing home and the button simultaneously) does not work.  Any ideas?

    Hi eileenfromlansing,

Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! After reading your post, I see that you have some songs that got stuck download inside of the app Store in iTunes for your iPad. I know it's nice to keep this clear list downloads, so I'm happy to offer assistance.

Take a look at this article to see what to do if a purchase iTunes Store stops unexpectedly download:

When an iTunes Store purchase ceases unexpectedly download - Apple Support

The steps described in the article are more orientated the resumption of downloads, rather than delete them, so if you get no took them and completely downloaded on the iPad, you can certainly remove it from the application of music once they are made download. Otherwise, if they are still stuck, you can try to slide your finger to the left on each of them and the 'DELETE' option should appear.

If you find that the steps outlined in the article do not solve your problem, I recommend that you sign out of your Apple ID in settings > iTunes, App Store, restart your device, then reconnect to check the iTunes Store app to see if they are still there.

    Have a great day!

  • I can't sync my phone to my computer and get the message that my phone doesn't have the latest version of Itunes. I downloaded the latest version on my mac, but what I do on my phone. I'm used to be able to synchronize the two.

I am more able to sync my I phone on my Mac and get the message that my phone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. He tells me to go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes... I downloaded the latest version on my mac, but what I do on my phone? I used to be able to sync the two and now I can't even download the photos from my phone on my mac...

iOS9 on a mobile device requires iTunes 12.3 or higher, which in turn requires a computer running OSX 10.8.5 or higher.  Update of the system only checks the updates for the current version of the system you run, but that itself can be updated.  It may or may not be possible to upgrade your computer to the system requirements. Find your computer on the web site of http://www.everymac.com model and near the bottom of the specification of the system section, he will tell what versions of the operating system, it is able to run. If you can not run a newer system, you will not be able to sync this phone to your current computer. If she can run 10.8.5 or higher, you can either buy a download for Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion code online, or you can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM.  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.

  • 90 days block Apple ID on music downloads on new iPhone

When my new iPhone 6s more has been set up, he took my login to iCloud and used Apple for the App Store and iTunes also. Now that I've changed the App Store and iTunes Apple ID for DIFFERENT correct a he has blocked me from my iTunes music downloads for 90 days.

Because it was associated with the ID of the first, it will not now let me use the second ID for 90 days, I tried both ways. Implemented as new and set up my previous phone support in iTunes. There is no problems with Apps like them OK synchronization from the iTunes App on my Mac.

I don't remember this problem before, but it's not good to be cut from my 1, in thousands of dollars of music

When you use iTunes game, iCloud Match, automatic downloads or redownload past an account purchases you are likely to start an association of 90 days to this account (I think it's an attempt to try to stop people by logging into their account on other computers/devices and their contents of download/share): display and delete associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support

If you can not wait 90 days ended you can try to contact iTunes Support and see if they can / will remove this association: https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

  • "Adding to playlist itunes purchase will download a copy on your computer.

What it means?  (Long story) I've recently updated to El Capitan 10.11.3 and also iTunes 12.3.2.35.  I have no game because it caused many problems for me.  I was happy to see 'Music' as a playlist that shows everything in iTunes is in this version.  The previous version I was using on OS 10.6.8 had that.

Looking at the list of reading music I noticed that I had a duplicate song.  We were already in one of my playlists where it belongs, and I could click "Show in Finder."  The other version was not in a playlist and I can't "show in Finder".  The quality of this version is better that the copy that I have on my computer so I decided to put the other in the trash and move the best copy in the playlist where the other was.  But when I tried I get this.

"Adding to playlist itunes purchase will download a copy on your computer.

I guess it is a purchased version, cloud or something and isn't really on my computer, Yes?  As far as I know, I don't have Apple cloud past.  I love my music real files on my computer and to be able to move them and organize them however and when I want to.  I don't want some music files mysterious that I may, or may not be able to listen to a certain point depending on what service I use, or a file that I need to download a copy whenever I want to put it in a playlist.  In addition, I don't want or need two copies of any song even if it's one I want, especially if I can't remove it if I want.

What happens here?  I've stuck with iTunes all these years, but it seems that whenever I update something is even worse... or am I just stupid for not getting it?

Okay what is happening with iTunes?  All my old playlists are gone and then this message "Add to itunes playlist purchase will download a copy on your computer" I just want to have playlists for my different moods, activities, etc..

I burned a CD of music seems to have disappeared.

  • 12.3.1.23 iTunes won't download album despite the correct metadata artwork

For some albums, iTunes 12.3.1.23 will not download album despite the correct metadata artwork.

It will download other graphic works (sometimes even when metadata is not correctly match).

Is it possible to determine the metadata that should be used to force iTunes to actually download the art for a specific album of the store?

Or is it possible to download the work of the store to an album without metadata change?

If iTunes works the same as it has for a while, I don't want to download the work manually and then manually associate the iTunes tracks, because that adds a copy of the work of each of the files.  (if iTunes has been changed to not insert a copy of the work in all track files when you manually add work instead of download from the store in iTunes, please let me know)

It seems to be a problem in the interaction between iTunes and the store which results in the failure to return the work even when metadata are matched.  Drawn from here and elsewhere, it started with the release of iTunes 12.2 and the launch of Apple's music and many receive some press releases, pending a fix (which could be an iTunes update or correction for the operation of the store), there is no alternative other than the addition of work from other sources.
