Issue of intermittent start with Windows Vista 64-bit

For some time, I've experienced a problem intermittent start up on my PC - Windows Vista 64-bit, where he spent in front of the screen «Windows is loading...» "to a black screen, but crashes then it and will never progress to the screen with the Windows icon (circle?).  When this happens, I usually try to restart in mode without failure, then stop or do a system restore and it finally starts again.  If it is intermittent, I noticed that it happens almost always if I use the computer for awhile, turn it off, then on again a few minutes later.  Thoughts?

Your description of the behavior of the computer, I would look to hardware fault as the culprit. The first suspects are overheating and power supply. You can solve yourself or take the machine to a local professional reputable (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place).

HP pavilion dv6-1030us originally with windows vista 64 bit have now upgraded to windows7 32 bit. MIC is unable to send sound in Skype after upgradation.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, uninstall Skype and when it is finished, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and reinstall the Chipset driver here.

Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

Let windows load completely, then download the installer of IDT Audio on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp45001-45500/sp45044.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

Let Windows load fully, then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

Reinstall Skype and see if the MIC now works Ok.

  • Problem installing flash player 11.0.1.152 with Windows Vista 64-Bit

    Hello

I can't get Flash Player to install on my computer with Windows Vista 64-Bit - is not serious if I try with Firefox, Opera or IE (usually, I use Firefox).

The download is not a problem, but when I run the .exe downloaded, the file disappears from my download folder and nothing happens - not to mention that the launch of a process called install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih_3.exe, which does nothing. The usual installation popup never appears. After that I can not try to start the installation again, until the deactivation of the process via the Task Manager ("that one instance of this application can run"). No matter if I try the download and installation with or without 'McAffe security more' btw - same result.

I have never had such a problem before - Flash Player 10.3 has been and no problem to install and use.

I tried all the measures proposed in the troubleshooting section on the official website, including measures for advanced troubleshooting (uninstall the old version, run as administrator, disable the software firewall, disable antivirus, etc.). Nothing helps.

I have never had these problems with my laptop running Windows 7 - just my desktop computer with Vista 64-bit.

  • LaserJet p2015 is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit

I just got a new computer with Windows Vista 64-bit operating system.  I tried to connect my HP Laserjet P2015 printer, but it was not recognized.  In addition, the computer does not recognize the CD supplied with the printer.  Download the necessary software on this site?  I can't seem to find it on mine, and I am a novice when it comes to computers.  Any help out there?  see you soon

Go to Support & drivers above.  Click on drivers.  Enter the model number of your printer.  A list of drivers should appear.  IF Windows Vista 64 bit is listed, click on that and you should be on your way.  BUT be aware that not all older printers are compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit.  I have a HP Scanjet 4470c which is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit on my new HP computer.  So I have a HP Scanner perfectly although I can't use and this Scanner is not that old.  Good luck!

  • Installed Windows 7 64 bit - 4 GB / 3 GB usable, whereas with Windows Vista 64-bit - 4 GB usable

    Hello
    I have the Asus N70SV B1.

    Specifications: (http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Multimedia_Entertainment/N70Sv/#specifications)

No problems with Windows Vista 64 bit, recognizing the 4 GB of RAM. After the upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit 4 GB installed / usable RAM problem / 3 gb. I also checked the following.

    1. I am running windows 7 64 bit, NOT 32 bit, I wouldn't be able to run Adobe After Effects® CS5.5 and Adobe first® Pro CS5.5 elsewise.
    2. the unusable 1 GB of RAM is not used by the operating system, it's hardware reserved
    3. the video card Nvidia GT 130 m 1 GB, shouldn't need that RAM - it certainly didn't on the factory installed Windows he dedicated RAM.
    4. I tried disabling and enabling msconfig - boot - Max memory settings, no option solves the problem.
    5. He has no option of memory in the BIOS settings to disable the cache in memory / memory the occultation.

    * I had to use the 64-bit of Windows Vista sound drivers work correctly with Windows 7 64 bit. So I thought that the version of bios or Vista 64 bit can thus solve the problem usable 4 / 3 gb.

    * Yes, I have flashed the bios to Windows Vista 64-bit and that still does not solve the problem. Although the system seems faster, it still shows only 3 GB usable.

There should not be a problem with this bios version seen only with the 64 bit Vista OS recognized all 4 GB.  I am confused and have no idea where to go from here.

    Please help.

    Hello

I understand that you have a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer that connects three thin devices via the USB port, but you can not perform a wireless installation on a fourth device, equipped of Windows Vista 32-bit, because the PC does not detect the printer via the USB port. • The Lexmark Printrio Photo 3150 is compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit system?

I have a printer picture excellent, but for some reason, it does not connect to my Gateway DX4200-09.  Is there anything I can do to get the system to accept it?

    Hi BuckDowney,

Lexmark P3150 compatibility does not work with Windows Vista.

For more information, see this link:

Windows Vista compatibility for Lexmark P3150

In addition, the Lexmark Web site, shows that the printer is compatible only with Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP.

See Lexmark P3150 PrinTrio Photo for more details.

However, you can still install the drivers in compatibility mode and see if that does the trick.

  • problems of Bluetooth on my hp with windows vista 64-bit edition

I have a hp and a vista 64 - bit edition operating system I installed a bluetooth device on my laptop and I get a message that says that hiddata.exe has stopped working properly and a bluetooth device not connected icon in my taskbar all solutions?

    Hi SapperDdy,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers site!

    (a) what Bluetooth device do you use? Who is the manufacturer of the device?

    (b) who is the manufacturer of the computer?

This problem can occur if there is a conflict between a Bluetooth device that is connected to a USB port and non-Microsoft software installed on the computer.

This problem can also occur if the basic components USB (Universal serial bus) on the windows vista operating system is damaged or corrupted.

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Download and install the Cumulative Update, see link below

Rollup cumulative update for USB in Windows Vista Basic components

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/941600/

    If the problem persists,

Step 2: Run the fixit provided in the link below.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/tips-for-solving-problems-with-USB-devices

Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall the driver Bluetooth:

A Bluetooth firmware obsolete or outdated device driver may be causing the HIDData.exe has stopped working error.

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2. in Device Manager, look for the Audio USB head set, and then double-click the device name.

    3. click on the driver tab and then click on uninstall the driver, and then follow the instructions.

Click on the link to re - install the drivers manually

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Or visit the web site of the manufacturer for the latest device driver.

If the problem persists, please consult the manufacturer of the device for more information.

Btootherror, you can follow the same steps above to solve the problem at hand.

    Hi gent.

Today, I tried to turn on my laptop for 2 hours and I failed. When I pressed the round button there is nothing in the screen is black (as when the laptop is turned off) after 30-40 sec, departures of screen to display the logo of Toshiba and Windows Boot Manager appears and this text.

    "

I can't select anything, because it freezes and nothing to do. I called Toshiba support and the technician tried but finally said probably the ram does not work if you need new ram DDR3.

What do you think guys? should I buy a new one, or there is something to do with the software?

If I buy the new DRr3 is 1066 Kingston is OK?

You can enter the BIOS settings?
You can enter advanced startup options by using the F8 key at startup? When you see the Toshiba screen home press F8 several times.
Then follow http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm and when you can access step 4 use Windows memory diagnostic tool.

  • External hard drive HP SimpleSave incompatible with Windows Vista 64-bit

External hard drive HP SimpleSave installed my Dell Studio XPS.  When you use the reboot option, is unable to start Windows.  When I unplugged, everything works fine.  Called HP and they told me it was a windows problem, probably in my BIOS.  Called Dell, who was kind enough to check my BIOS, but they did solve the problem.  Has learned to work around the problem by disabling SimpleSave any time I want to use the restart.  I can do it, but I think that things work as advertised.  Would appreciate any help.

Again, check the boot order in your BIOS to ensure USB enabled starting isn't the 1st in the boot order.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to HARD drive to drive 1 in the boot order.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
