• Need a generator of random numbers of Captivate 7 (values from 1 to 6)

  In collaboration with Captivate 7, I am trying to create a game that emulates a single set of in place.  To do this, I need a random number generator which will decrease the number in a user Variable and may be limited to generate numbers from 1 to 6.  Occurs in my goal to make it look like a roll.  I've used a widget in Captivate 5, but it no longer works (I think it was made with JS2 and apparently 7 Captivate does not work with JS2?.)  I don't know NO JS, but everything I've found seems to indicate this is the only way to accomplish what I am trying to do.  Anyone out there have any suggestions?

  AS3 insert as an animation when it is encountered on the updates of the chronology of the variable "throw_1.

  Hi all

  I have a problem with the question of sequence type. If you have any comments, responses draggable show on top.  Please see enter.

  Is this a bug? I can't find any mention of it. It seems to do it with some answers. Makes it completely unusable.

  This tends to happen if you add options to answer after YOU create the question and add captions to your comments.  The last thing added to the ends up on top of the upper layers of the quiz question slide, but since you can't see these layers in the timeline panel, you can for other slides, you can not reorder the layers by normal means.

  The solution is to turn your legends of feedback and turn on again so that they then end up on the higher layers yet.

  Go to the Quiz properties for that slide and deselect the option/select legends Correct and incomplete to put them on the answer options.  Then set failure level to ZERO and return to what it was before to set the caption of failure above all.  This will remove any text you had in legends, so if you have invested a lot of time, adding text to these legends of your comments, it's a good idea to copy this text elsewhere first, so you can stick it right back in after their recycling.

• Figure/table numbering in several files

  Hey gang,

  I have a book of multi-fichiers in FM 11 requires this page, the paragraph numbers, figure and table be sequential (3.1 - 1, 3.1 - 2, etc.) between the files.  Issues page numbers and paragraph were fairly simple: Format > Document > numbering, continue the numbering from the previous chapter, to update the book and your Uncle Bob.  Now, the numbering of the relevant paragraphs is the following:

  H: < $chapnum >. < n + >. < = 0 > < = 0 > \t

  The numbers in the figure and the table are more severe; using the following format

  H:table (or digit) < $chapnum >. < n > <><>- < n + > \t

  I can get the paragraph numbers to work, but the numbers individual figure/table restarts at 1 in each file.  The problem is that there's nothing say FM to continue numbering the tables or figures in the previous file in the book, but I can't understand how do.  Any ideas?

  These counters are considered paragraph numbering for purposes of prosecution for parts of the book.

  The list of the usual suspects when it gets unexpectedly reset includes but is not limited to:

  1. Conflict between book and part of the dialing properties file
  2. Some rogue paragraph is using the same counter and reset.

  Hello

  I created a Captivate questionnaire with 25 questions. Questions are drawn at random from a group of 130, and the issues are choice Multiple or more than one answer.

  I took the quiz on our Moodle site, but seems to have a problem with the score. Captivate is to give 10 points for each question that is answered correctly. Is it possible to change this to 1 point per good question?

  You can adjust the number of points awarded for each question on the issue of properties inside Captivate.  The default value is 10 points, but you can set it to any integer.

• Uninstall Macromedia Captivate first?

  Is it better to Captivate 1, first uninstall it before installing the Captivate 2, if and when I get the upgrade?

• Why does the chronology counter disappears?

  I saw just another thread where someone has reported this problem on version 7.

  The issue is alive in Captivate 8.0.1.242. It's a recurring problem since v.5.0!

  How do we get a bug reported to the developers?

  For me it disappeared in 7.0.1 never had the problem. But in fact, back in 8. This is the form of bug

• Shape shape styles will play no audio inserted.

  I am running Windows 8.1 and 8.0.1.242 on the desktop and laptop PC - downloaded from Adobe by creative cloud.

  
  

  Text Cp caption old school styles do play inserted audio but the new Smart-saudio inserted game not of HAPE styles. I tried to go back several times. Systematically, when I click with the right button on the legend of the 'old school' text and select "convert to smart shape then reinsert the audio, smart shapec aption styles won't play audio inserted." If I reverse the process text legends will play audio without problem. I tried on two computers and with the new files.

  We recorded a bug for the issue where in Adobe Captivate audio 8 does not work when you convert the text box into the question slide smartshape.

  Please see the bug #3919140 for future reference. There is no ETA right now for the resolution. Once we have a fix for this problem we will publish it on the Web site.

• Expression of counting number with $-understand how to set breakpoints

  Hello, I am using a phrase that I found on: Expressioneering of Dan Ebberts Design Guide who saved me quiet a bit of frustration since I had to have a comma followed of a character custom at the end of my counting of numbers. But I have a simple question that I can't get out enough instructions on the page and I hope someone here could direct to me.

  
  

  Issue: The numbers count for the first 4 seconds - or what I change too, but I understand not how put my breakpoints number. that is to say, I want to go from 0 to 1 800 break at some point for a few seconds and then count to 6 500 break again and count up and so on. The part I don't understand is, how to start the countdown and stop on a number and then start again the count.   I think I'd just keyframe a with values and the times when you want to stop and use a simpler expression of the text source like that to make the cursor:

• Slide numbering error - question 8 of Captivate

  I've never met before, but the blade on numbering issues says "Question 14 of 15" instead of "Question 1 of 2".

  This is slide #24 so I don't know where she gets 14 of either. When I check the next 5 slides in Captivate, it is OK, but as soon as I publish in HtML format or view HTML of Captivate, the error occurs.

  I don't see where to change this value. It is a question of verification of knowledge and is not marked even if it matters.

  I replaced the value with the text to correct it, but what is the cause?

• Text input focus and submit button - issue 8 slides-Captivate

  Hello

  I created a series of short answer to a quiz questions using a pool question I want the questions randomly each time for the learner. How do you define the development of the slide at the entrance area of text (where the cursor is so they can start typing) on a question slide? I also want them to be able to submit the question by pressing enter, do not click on Submit. I know how to do this using a box of text entry in a standard slide, but as I want to be able to get the user to give random issues I need to be in a pool of question. Can someone help me with how to do it?

  Either: set focus to an input field text and have it onkeyenter for the Send button

  Or: replicate a pool question using standard slides, so I can have random questions generated for users (for example, 5 questions chosen at random from a set of 10).

  You can select the button submit to a question slide and set the ENTER key as a shortcut key.  This will allow to the learner to submit the question slide by pressing the ENTER key.

  Captivate does not have the ability to configure short answer question slides in order to put the cursor in the text field when the question slide enters the timeline.

  You can add standard slides to a Question Pool.  That the real question slides can be randomized in this way.  Captivate also does not provide by default sort stocks advanced to randomize the navigation to a subset of standard slides.  There may be a way to make the randomization of the navigation of the blade with JavaScript, but I can't help you with that.

• Issues of navigation of gel - Captivate 6

  I have a unique situation that goes with a simulation project where I jump on a blade of some who has sub navigation and when the user clicks on the subject under the project freezes from anywhere from 7 to 12 seconds. Once the next page poster there are three buttons, they can click to jump to a section. When they click on a button, the system freezes again but then does not progress. And then he makes the defective buttons. This same project will be randomnly display icon of black loading in the middle of the project as well and never disappear. You can still use the CBT but the bearings are disabled. Finally when the problem occurred, she also randomnly will play no audio that was imported to the slide.

  • LMS - SABA - the issue occurs when the edition of our LMS or just published to a Web server

  Troubleshooting so far

  • I thought it may be related to distance, that the project was to 'jump', so I moved the problem closer to the slide menu section and that did not help.
  • I had the menu go to a different page thought that was the issue. Without success
  • Published in Captivate 7 demo. Without success
  • Colleague has published. Without success

  This loading with the gray overaly image NEVER disappears. Some of the buttons will work randomnly work with this image like this. For example, I could click on Main Menu and blow it, but other times I could click on it and it does nothing.

  Help! I apologize about the "random" at all, I know it's figruing it that much harder. I will update this post with progress on other issues, I still have to try as well.

  This project has already passed the deadline and I really don't want to have to recreate it.

  I thank very you much for troubleshooting offline that you and Adobe have been made. As a result, we have had success.

  Community, as unique as I thought it was, so was the resolution.

  Adobe had me deselect both options in the preferences and my record is now fluid and all the "quirks" disappeared.

  I had to select Edit-> preferences-> access to the Quiz section-> select settings...

  Deselect 'Conscious branch' and 'display the progress '.

  I re-publiished the file after the deselection of these two options and have no problem.

• Aggregator Slide numbering (Captivate CPT 5.5)

  Aggregator seems to work very well. Two things I noticed, which is:

  1. CPT film fills the screen (Web page) at first but once all the individual SWF download movie CPT group project "retract" the size of development (in this case, 800 x 600). I wonder why it is great on the first (much like "full screen" but rather as Web page complete) and then returned to the development dimension.
  2. The variable slide number on each slide in each module (movie or SWF) counts only slides in the specific module. When the next module starts, the slide number is equal to zero. It makes sense that he would do this, but I wonder if it is possible to do two things instead:
     • Index from one (1) instead of zero (0), and
     • Count all the slides, between modules, successive order so if 10 slides module 1 and module 2 is 5 slides, last played slide would be number 15 of the slide.

  Regarding your second question: you show slide numbers to the user in a text caption? In this case, the fastest way would be to calculate the number by a tip action. It is possible to transfer data from one file to another (such as the total number of slides in the previous file), but then you will need a cpguru widget - Michael Lund:

• Slide numbering - questions about Captivate 3

  I am putting together a new CBT I want to enter my PowerPoint slides.

  However, I plan to do several of the slides is available only when you press a 'button' on a particular slide.

  (for example.  Slide 5 there will be 2 buttons, it will lead to slide 28 then return, it will lead to slide 29 then return)

  I'm looking for is the removal of any slide numbering when I publish this project.

  I don't want the Viewer to see that they went from slide 5 to 28 and then back to 5.

  I understand that most people want their slides were soon, but for this project, I'm heading in the other direction.

  As the title suggests, I am using Captivate 3, which unfortunately that power will not pay for the update to Captivate 4.

  If you do not use a playback control, there is never any indication that the user is on different slides. Even if you use a playback control, the only time I am aware that the indication of the number of slide is present is when you place the cursor or drag the progress indicator.

  See slide numbers in another area? If so, can you post a screen shot here? If you do, please insert inline using the camera icon. Do not tie. Attachments must be approved before that everyone can see them.

• The letters and numbers are properly, am I not a compatibility issue? Is there an adjustment for this? My computer programs and explore are ok.

  If I move the cursor over the letters or numbers that they snap up bright. In about 30 seconds, they return to the hazy State. This only happens on Firefox. not to explore or my regular computer programs.

  This can be caused by incompatible Firefox with your graphics card driver. To test this theory, try to disable the use of Firefox hardware acceleration of graphics and fonts.

  the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced

  In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

  It will take effect after you exit and then restart Firefox.
