Issue of processor HP 635

Hey!

I have a laptop HP 635 with AMD E - 350 1.6 GHz processor

in general I am very happy with my laptop, but when it comes on playing the games my CPU is on the way.

So! My question is: can I change everything that is on my computer? If I do, I lose the warranty?

1 PS: sorry if I did not follow the rules of the exact forum, this is my first post.
2. sorry in advance for my poor English.

Hello:

Your English is very good!

Here is the link to the quickspecs for your laptop.

http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/13969_div/13969_div.PDF

Can be found on page 3 processors supported.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

R & R procedures can be found in Chapter 4.

If your laptop is still under warranty, you indeed the warranty to replace the processor.

Basically, the only updates which will not void the warranty is adding memory or to change the hard drive, as long as you don't break anything in the process.

Hello. Sorry for my English. I'm from the Ukraine.

I want to improve my HP Pavilion dv7-4150er and I need advice from experienced people.

    Now, I have:

    -8 GB of RAM (2 x 4 GB),

-1 TB of HDD (5400 RPM)

-stock video (Mobility Radeon hd 5650 graphics card) card overclocked to 700 MHz GPU and 950 MHz Vram.

-CPU (mobile Quad Core Intel Core i7-720QM, 1716 MHz) in stock

    -BIOS F.29

    2 problems:

    -Slow CPU

    -Slow HARD drive

I want to buy a few HARD drives SSD for Windows and secondary soft and left for the data.

Get an increase in the performance of the system?

On the 'Intel' site, I read that my

    Intel® HM55 Express Chipset Mobile

is compatible with the more powerful processors. LINK

    And I have a great opportunity to buy Intel® Core™ i7-940XM processor Extreme Edition (8 M Cache, 2.13 GHz)

    But the laptop manual says:

720QM and 940xm - identical processors. The difference in 'MAX TDP' 45w/55w, 'Cache' 6 mb / 8 mb and clock speed 1.6 GHz/2.13 GHz

The Intel® Core™ i7-940XM processor Extreme Edition (8 M Cache, 2.13) will work properly in my laptop?

    or not?

I have read many articles on this topic, but the answer is not...

And I can't find information on HP F.29 BIOS specification.

How can I increase a CPU nested way (with another compatible processor) perfomance if 940xm is not compatible?

    Help me please.

    Thank you for your time.

Hello nickiblackmore.  I understand that you are curious about the upgrade of your laptop.

Here is a link to Guide of Service and Maintenance of your laptop.  It covers the disassembly of the laptop and can also show you how to replace parts if you upgrade the.

If you switch to a Solid State Drive of a standard 5400 or 7200 RPM hard drive, you should see a significant performance increase.  This is because a normal hard drive spinning platters and it takes time to locate data on the trays as they are moving.  A Solid State Drive has no moving parts and therefor can locate data much more quickly.

A CPU upgrade is a much more difficult question.  HP does not recommend that you perform this type of upgrade.  Laptops are generally designed with specific thermal and electrical needs.  If you change the CPU, it will probably create more heat and use a higher power that will cause you problems.  However, if you stick to a processor that is listed in the service (for example in your picture) Guide, you should be fine.  For example, you can choose one of the microprocessors found in the image to upgrade your laptop.  Also, keep in mind that the integral part upgrade as a CPU can affect your warranty (check your warranty here).

If you think that answers your question be sure to mark the post as solved.  This makes it easier for others to find answers to their questions.

    Have a great day!

  • Issue of processor (Athlon or Phenom) p6320f

    Nice day

I am considering buying this computer I like both HP and AMD.  When I look at the specifications p6320f sheet, he mentions an Athlon II X 4 820.  When you look at the retailer, he is listed as a Phenom II X 4 820.

The Phenom series is best AMD processor.  I would like to know with certainty what processor it is before making my purchase.  So far, I'm leaning towards believing that it is a prodigy, mainly because when I look to the top of the site of AMD processors I can't find an Athlon II X 4 820.

If anyone has bought this computer, or has some knowledge, please let me know.

    Thank you very much

    Hi juanantonio,.
If the chipset and its capabilities powersaving is no better supported you must live with temperatures a little higher...
but it's a long way at the end of specification - your system should run stable - check it out!

for the problem of wlan: go and find a driver/module for your wlan card, I guess it's a intel...
or change it with a model better supported by the operating system.

  • X 200 / Turbo Memory / Win7 Pro Updater failure

Hello. I did some checking with respect to this, just can't find something that fits.

Basically I have a x 200 with 2 GB turbomemory installed. It works fine in the company stock vista, then I decided to install win7 pro on this subject.

    1. first run, I installed win7, ran the windows updates, then system update. Windows update broke. did some checking, some guys reports this Breeze system update update windows.

    2. Second, reinstalled win7, ran the windows updates until everything is done. a site intel Manager downloaded turbo memory. Windows update broke.

Neither of the two cases, no amounts of microsoft fixit not solved. second run I did a system restore and his return to life. Yay!

As fast as the win7 is compared to the vista bloatware, I turbo memory installed, and I want it work. someone has problems that they were able to solve? It's a clean install of win7pro btw, not an x 201 win7 recovery disc.

This makes me intrigued. is a particular issue on processors c2d this turbo memory Setup program will break win7 windows update? for now, I'll just avoid the installation of turbo memory program.

  • Update Intel P9700

    Another issue of processor upgrade:

the newly released P9700 is still unavailable for T400, however I am wandering if it would work, considering that is similar with other Penryn processors.

Or should it be included by Lenovo in the bios specifically - which I doubt they did if they offer it?

    Thanks for your comments,

    Cosmin

It is not question of whether a certain processor is supported in the BIOS, it is to know if a family of processors is supported by the BIOS.

The P9700 has a CPUID of 10676 string h, which is the same as the P8400. This string represents the family of processors and included features. Thus, it would be correct to say that it is a direct replacement.

  • Question about Vmotion

    Guys,

I finally had time to raise a second cheap esxi host today.  I installed vShere 4.  The hosts are always 3.5.

I tried vmotion as part of my test, but I couldn't make it work.  There are two questions:

First issue - incompatible processor.  I followed KB 1993 and tried to hide "NX/XD.  A host has a celeron 1.6 and the second host has a core quad (q9550).  I'll probably have to replace the host with the celeron cpu.

Second question - I get this error "currently connected NIC 'NIC 1' uses 'Mtrac' network, whi is not accessible."

I am interested in getting this fixed.  Comes from the machine, I tried to move the "Mtrac" network adapter.

    TIA,

    TNT

    To answer your questions:

    1. Architecture of the Celereon and q955 chips you use is so dramatically different that I don't think you'll ever get to work for vMotion - VCA is really aim clients whoare purchase processors in the same family or relatively close to the generations.

    2. If networking on the ESX servers must be the same - in other words your VM has been connected to the virtual MAchine port group called Mtrac on the source host and on the other host there was no virtual machine port group with this name-

  • Can't do the fast reception

    Hi all
I created an order form, after approval. Then I go to the reception-> reception. Put the number of purchase order form to find and give the number of points that I want to do the fast reception. Once I click on the express button in the form of reception, choose the destination type destination and save the receipt lines selected, then the system displays a window with the message: Total operations purposely created: 0. even if the receipt number has been generated, but I can't find it in the receiver of the transaction and the receiving transaction summary. Could you help me on this and I would like to know what exactly is the problem?

    Thank you and best regards,
    Jerome

    Hi Jerome,
    Please see my updates below.

    (a) Transaction summary of the situation, I found all records (shipping PO) which I was ecoiile, but the status is error without any error message.

This indicates received screen / underlying files may be a problem for the Express receipts. I don't think that is to receive the issue Transaction processor since you are able to perform normal revenue.

    (c) control of the location of the subinventory is item level. When I created the article, I do not give any clue adjustment.

If it does not have any problem.

    (d) the question is not under version control. How to check if the revision of the item is required for the transaction of reception?

This also creates no problems. Say you have filled in by default point review online PO (item is not under revision control) and revision is not displayed for this expedition in screen of expected income.

    (f) I'm using the demo of oracle environment. So I think that there is no enabled custom database triggers to receive arrays.

It's also not creating any problems.

    (g) when I have the taxable items, I gave the action as a warning as control of receipt and the days early & late is 5 days. I remember, when I do the reception, the system showed a note for me as "tolerance of receipt is outdated.

Do you want to say that, when you did the normal reception and days at the beginning / end tolerance exceeded the system limit displays the warning message? Because for express delivery, it will not display any warning messages and will process the specified Action based transaction: reject > reject the movement; WARNING > allow operation without any express receipt message.

In the receiver control org for the item if 'Allow Express operations' is set to 'No'. Normally it shouldn't allow specific reception if the flag is set to 'No', but there were bugs earlier in the 11.5.10.x. What the EPS demo version are you using? 11.5.10.x or R12?
I am able to express reception in R12 12.0.6 vision (http://www.solutionbeacon.com/tools_r12vision.htm).

Try using a new purchase order. It could be a problem with the instance (receipt of the form or the file pls file versions or some processor internal).

    Thank you

  • The upgrade of processor in my HP 635 Notebook PC

    Hello

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the processor in my computer HP 635 PC laptop?

If it is possible, what would be the best processor to get, to get a performance gain?

How much difference would it make? -Both in terms of game and browse the web for example.

Could there be problems with high temperatures?

    ProductName: HP 635 Notebook PC

    ProductNumber: A1E39EA #UUW

    OS: Win 7 64 bit

On models with AMD E-series processors the processor and motherboard arre a single unit, so you would need to get another card motherboard and CPU. To get the best processor and motherboard will cost at least $400, I would say. Yes, it would improve games and overall computer a little. If you want just the computer to be keenest generally install a SSD drive. You do not have one of the smaller processors available on the newer model laptops, however, and your best bet would be to sell your and find something more to your liking. If you wish to proceed with the upgrade post back and we can talk about specific parts and how to do the job.

  • Issue after upgrading processor in HPE Phoenix h9 - 1120-t.

Hi all.  I had debated on the amendment on the processor (an i7 3770) in my Phoenix HPE h9 - 1120t after that I got my hands on an i7 and 3770 k, still in the box.  Following an injury, I've been away from work for a few weeks - so my pure boredom I went ahead and change on the proc.

It's relatively simple and no different from any other treatment that I have changed/added other space restricted in the case of Phoenix.  And once I had the liquid cooler and fan/radiator turned off, it's easy as a pie.

I had no problems at all and it booted right up at the first attempt.  Yes I know it's a tiny increase in frequency, and my just Pegatron Z75 Board is not really made for serious overclocking (I got it at 4.1 GHz for about four hours using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and time has hovered around 45 c, which is fine, but I don't want to stress out you my mobo so I supported down to default speeds again).  I don't really plan to do much OC'ing, but it is still nice to have an unlocked CPU.

Interestingly, there was a fairly large amount of TIM on the CPU and the waterblock when I removed it.  I was always in the pea or the size of BB camp, and I'm curious to see what users here think.  I cleaned the plate cooper real good with some 91% isopropyl alcohol and then put my pea size place on the central area of the CPU die (I used Artic MX-4), which allows the waterblock to spread it when mounted.  My time seem to be really on the same property.  I slowed down around 28 - 30 c, which is what they were on the no k.  I wonder if there have been good studies on thermal paste, and if someone proved the entire surface of the CPU that is painted on the method or the method of pea size dab is preferable.

I have a question though.  Warranty associated.  Since I still have a year left on my warranty, what happens if something happens and I need to send the whole rig under repair at HP?  Do I have to restore the original components and put the former no k 3770 back in?  The reason why I asked is that I have a chance to sell the old da, but I was worried that I might need if something bad happens and I'm in need of repair or service.

With regard to thermal paste... too much is as bad as not enough. In all there should be a very thin layer of compound... just enough to fill in the blanks between the contact surfaces.

Like many, the guarantee will return all components of the stock to the computer and the backup... or make image to your hard drives. I have a graphics card improved HP because the specifications were inaccurate and I relied on them for the purchase of the computer. Customer support escalations manager told me to keep the original of the card corresponding to the correct plug where the system had to go home. I guess it's because the technician can replace components with parts... If technology don't, perhaps you miss an Intel i7 3770 k. There are also many discussions of the forum on component being change and hard drives being wiped.

    Please send Bravo

  • Is it possible to upgrade my laptop HP 635 to a Dual Core processor?

My laptop currently has an APU AMD E-300 w / graphics Radeon HD 1.30 GHz. I've never done this before, so I have no experience in the upgrade or install a new processor.

    Hello

Here is some information on this processor:

    TypeCPU / microprocessor
    Market segmentMobile
    FamilyAMD E-Series
    Model numberE-300
Reference number of CPUEME300GBB22GV is a microprocessor tray/OEM

  • Satellite L850 - 1 P 9 - issue processor upgrade

    Hello world!

    I am the owner of a satellite L850-1 p 9 and I would like to change the real processor (i5 3230 m) with a 3612qm of 3540 m or i7 i7 and I wonder if compatibility problems can be...

Thanks a lot for your help.

A new processor might work properly only if the chipset and BIOS offers essential support.

So even if the new processor would be compatible with the chipset which is available on the motherboard, BIOS can cause problems. But that's just a guess

Of course, there is a good chance to get a new CPU if most hardware specifications (outlet, etc.) are similar to the previous CPU.

But to be honest, an upgrade of the CPU would not provide a significant performance gain. Of course you would get a faster processor, but the difference in performance isn't important.

In my opinion, you should use the current CPU but should move the HARD drive to SSD drive.
These updates the SSD is much better and you will not encounter the risk of damaging the laptop.

  • Satellite A200 - 23Q - issue processor upgrade

Hello, I am from Greece, and I'm new here, I know im newbe...

    I have toshiba Satellite A200 - 23q (motherboard: intel gm965, cpu: t5550 (1, 8 GHz))...

    Currently, I bought Intel T7500 (2, 2 GHz)...
Can I upgrade this laptop with this processor? What can the BIOS I've updated to?

    Sorry for my language faults...

    Thank you...

    Hello

Generally, the upgrade of the CPU is not advisable.
Firstly the BIOS that has been developed for this device has not been tested with different processors, and in the worst case the BIOS won't be compatible with the new processor.

    The Chipset must support this CPU;
    http://www.Intel.com/assets/PDF/datasheet/316273.PDF

    Chapter 1.1.1 processor support:
The chipset supports processors Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile 533 Mhz and 800 Mhz FSB support.

Processor Intel® Core 2 Duo T7500 supports 800 MHz FSB, so it should be supprted by the chipset.

    But once again; There are other reasons why upgrading the CPU doesn't have to be done;
The BIOS is one of the reasons.
The second reason is the higher heat dissipation which would be created by CPU more strong that could affect the functionality of the laptop as well.
