Issue of upgrade graphics on the P10-802 Satellite card

Hoping that someone out there may be able to offer advice.
I now find I probably need to improve this system a bit. Adding memory seems simple but is also interested in upgrading the graphics card. Anyone know if this is possible? It currently has the ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 with 64 MB of memory. If it is not possible to change the map is possible instead to increase the memory on the card itself?

Thanks in advance if anyone has any advice to offer!

See you soon

No, something like that is definitely not possible.
Please do not mix cell phone technology with simple desktop PC.
You cannot move the graphic card for laptop and you cannot increase this graphics card memory.
Nothing to see :(

    Hi Martin

I have checked the Toshiba support page and I can see your machine by Satellite is not supported for Windows XP Home edition. You just want to test or what? I want to say that I see no sense to install the operating system that is not supported by Microsoft and certainly not supported by the laptop manufacturer.

    Hello

First, you must put the name of the laptop!
How if someone help if the laptop is not known!

In any case, if the laptop is able to handle 1 GB memory then it should be possible to use memory modules 512 MB and 256 MB!

But I recommend to use the same modules. Sometimes, it happens that different modules are not compatible and so the laptop cannot start or run correctly!

  • Satellite P10-802 - RAM upgrade video

I saw somewhere that the Satellite P10 802 has 64 or 128 MB of vram. Mine has 64 and I want to spend the most.
    Please tell me how.

I agree with macdreamy and I can confirm this info your graphics chip is not replaceable. It s welded on the map, really
The graphics chip is usually not removable or stretch on all laptops.
If this case not only the P10!

    Regarding the price for laptop;
In my opinion, you should check some eBay offers and must monitor the evolution of prices.

    Hello

You can try to install or update the graphics driver.
It would be useful that the issue would be linked to the defective display driver.
But it's more because of the graphics chip.
In this case the update of the driver will not help you, but only one replacement of the mother figure/card chip. :(

I have upgraded to Windows 10 64 Pro and all my apps Adobe has stopped working; I get the popular "MSVCP110.dll is missing" issue; I uninstalled everything, including the creative cloud, rebooted the PC and installed it back again! Same thing! I tried this several times. I'm really stuck! Can someone help with how this is solved; I follow online (two solutions) and tried both; not good! No matter what I do, I get the error! The rest of the applications say they are absent from the other files like this; It seems that there is something to do during the installation that keeps this issue alive!

Run the command to check the file system once:

Also repair Microsoft Redistributable packages from the control panel > programs and features.

If not installed, download and install the Visual C++ 2013 package.

  • Need help with the upgrade of the WLAN on Satellite Pro 6100 minipci card

Hello everyone, I desperately tried to update my WIRELESS card on my laptop SP6100, since it was delivered with a card minipci wifi-b, which is not fast enough today. s standards.

Each piece of the Toshiba official documentation mention the SP6100 has a mini-PCI type 3a slot, so can accommodate two minipci card a type 3a and 3B wifi.
But unfortunately for me, I discovered the hard way that it is absolutely NOT the case - I was put back by a fortune by buying costs for a type3 intel minipci wifi card, which does NOT at all on the laptop.

I spent an hour in unnecessary calls to the customer service from Toshiba, that I had to convince PCMCIA certainly isn't the same as miniPCI, and Mini - PCI cards ARE CERTAINLY replaceable by the user. She insisted that she could not be changed by the user of the system, but by toshiba themselves.

Could someone please please advise me on the type of wifi card that are built with the SP6100 laptops? I think is it AGERE brand, in the form of WLAN minipci card. I know that it IS certainly NOT miniPCI type 3.

    Help, please! Thank you.
And besides, every place that I tried so far appears only sell type3 miniPCI cards,
Other types of Mini-PCI cards are available to retail customers?

    Infinite thanks!

    Hello

You must understand that your model of laptop is quite old and right now the market wasn't available standard b. I'm pretty skeptical that you will be able to use the standard WLAN with G maps due to compatibility issues. On this forum, I founded several threads that people write about the problems of upgrading older models of laptops with the new wireless network cards.

In my opinion the best solution for you is to use a PCMCIA WLAN card. The installation should be easy and you can use the wireless network with faster data transfer adapter.

  • Space HP DC 5800 SFF: upgrade graphics card

I have a HP DC 5800 SFF, computer office I'll install a Nvidia GeForce GT 610. The Office has a supply of 240 W.

My question is. 240 W power will be enough to manage the GT 610 or I have to update my diet?

    Thank you in advance

    Bob

    Hi, Bob:

As food is the owner you do not have the option to upgrade.

The good news is that the GT 610 attracts only a maximum of 30W, so the 240W P/S in your dc5800 should be good.

There are a few things you need to know when installing any video card in your PC.

    1. prior to installing the card, go to Device Manager, click to expand the category of device of graphics cards, do a right-click on the Intel graphics card, select uninstall, check the box uninstall driver and stop and unplug the machine.

Then install your new video card.

    2. after the installation of your video card and drivers, you will notice that the sound board disappeared because the card has an HDMI output port.

Back in the day, these old class PC business had a BIOS that had no idea of what a HDMI output port has been and as there is an audio chip on the video card circuit to work the HDMI audio output, the BIOS of the PC think that not only you have installed a video card , but he thinks that you have installed a map audio too.

So, it disables the integrated audio system and onboard video.

After installing the graphics driver nvidia, restart the PC, go into BIOS > Advanced menu > submenu device options, find the onboard audio setting (not there before installing the video card).

It will be set to Disabled.  Set to enabled, save the setting when you have completed the change and again when you exit the BIOS.

After the PC restarts, the integrated audio system will be restored.
