I upgraded my card mother cpu ram and hard drive. I reinstalled windows xp home edition has got all of the updates. After 9 latest updates download and installtion was going well until I rebooted the computer and go to page window showing all the icons that I get a blue screen and the computer restarts its self and does not stop. How can this be corrected?

    Hi KevinRy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    Unplug all external devices.

Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:

    1.

Right-click my computerand then click Properties.

    2.

    Click the Advanced tab.

    3.

Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.

    4.

Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.

    5.

Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.

Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.

    Kind regards

I had Adobe Acrobat XI.  In October 2015, I paid for and downloaded an upgrade to Adobe Pro DC.  My hard drive has failed, and now I don't know where to download the upgrade.  I registered on my Adobe account.  I can see the purchase and the link for the download, but when I do it download Adobe Acrobat XI.  I'd appreciate any help you can provide.

  • Is it possible to upgrade the 160 GB on Tecra A4 HARD disk?

    Hello!!

I have a TECRA A4 MS PTA40E-01TOOFSP with a 60 GB HDD (Hitachi (IC25N060ATMR04-0) and I need more space in my laptop. I wonder if it would be possible to install a 160 GB hard drive in this notebook. I like the Mobile Hitachi 5K 160 160 GB 5400 RPM hard drive.

    Don't you think it's possible?

I want to that she through the internet so I can't ask the shop. At least, I wanted to know what could be the biggest and fastest I can buy for my laptop.

    Thank you very much.
    Domingo.

I found after compatible hard drives:

    -30 GB (9.5 mm thick) ATA (4 200 RPM)
    -ATA (4 200 RPM) 40 GB (5 400 rpm)
    -ATA (4 200 RPM) 60 GB (5 400 rpm)
    -ATA (4 200 RPM) 80 GB (5 400 rpm)
    -ATA (4 200 RPM) 100 GB (5 400 rpm)
    -ATA (4 200 RPM) 120 GB (5 400 rpm)

So the HARD drive with the 7200 RPM would increase the internal temperature, and this could lead to overheating problems. The system would simply be freezes or doesn't work is not stable.

  • Upgrade to msata but now original 320 GB HARD drive not recognized

    Hi all

I just upgraded to an msata that works quite well. However, the HARD disk refuses to be recognized in the BIOS or in windows 7, I just get a 2100 on startup error. I can boot windows after pressing a few keys, but the hard drive is nowhere to be seen in windows. Is it possible to update the list of hard disk or do a low-level format?

I sent the laptop back on Monday, received Lenovo on Tuesday and I got it back on Friday all fixed! The notes with the laptop says that the motherboard has been replaced, so the sata connection must have been faulty as I suspected.

Very, very impressed with the service!

  • Portege M400 unable to find the new 320 GB HARD drive

    Hello

I'm moving my 80 GB HARD drive to a new WD 320 and research questions. Although I've updated the Bios with the latest version of the disk hard is not down to any operating system when it is in the main HARD drive Bay. The weird thing is completely visible in the removable Bay. Is this a configuration issue, I am missing or is the machine not reconise the 320 GB drive because that is the essential motivation?

Any help or pointers would be great

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy

In my opinion, your new HARD drive cannot be recognized because of the size of the HARD drive.
The 320 are simply too. I think that the laptop would be able to use a 100 GB or 120 GB of HARD drive but the 320GB are not supported.

So change your disk of 320 GB to a smaller size and try again.

    Good luck

Don't worry, buddy... I don't see any serious reason why would be supported not the 320 GB SATA HARD drive.
The SATA controller must handle the tough without major problems.

It is important that you use a HARD SATA 2.5 ". The size and speed of the HARD drive should not affect compatibility.

  • Satellite L300. Observation on the issues cover the recovery of Vista on a new HARD drive

    Hi all

I need to reinstall Vista (on a Toshiba Satellite L300) runs the "recovery disc" created by Toshiba disc creator before recovery and using a disc of "nine" (Toshiba MK2035GSS, 200 GB).

    Issues related to the:

    (1) I have to partition and format the new drive before starting with recovery disks / DVD (s).
or which will be done through the recovery process?

    (2) what is the reason for which the current disc is divided into two size equal C: and D: partitions, while
D: partition seems to be reservered for the system, but only 5 GB are used?

    (3) what is the purpose of the partition 3. ("inactive") with about 1.5 GB of space?

Thanks in advance for your support and help!

    Whalter

    > 1) I have to partition and format the new drive before starting with recovery disks / DVD (s).
or which will be done through the recovery process?
No, because the HARD disk should be formatted during the recovery process.

(> 2) what is the reason for which the current disc is divided into two size equal partitions C: and D:, while
D: partition seems to be reservered for the system, but only 5 GB are used?
On the D partition, you can find the files and folder from HARD drive recovery. HARD disk recovery allows you to recover the laptop HARD drive and in this case, you don't need the recovery disc

(> 3) what is the purpose of the partition 3. ("inactive") with about 1.5 GB of space?
It is a Vista partition and is necessary for the backup files. Vista is able to repair the operating system if something bad is going to do this the necessary files that are stored on this partition.

  • Equium A110-233: upgrade HDD - can I use 250 GB HARD drive?

    Hi all

I would like to upgrade my hard drive (40 GB now). What is the maximum capacity of HD, that supports my Toshiba? Can I put still 250GB?

Another question is, can I buy for example external USB 2.5 "hard drive and swap the drive of my laptop with it, I mean put one of the USB box inside my Toshiba and Toshiba original to USB enclosure?

    If it works?

    Hello

Unfortunately, there is no public document on upgrading the HARD disk and you will be very happy if someone can give you good info. I must say that I agree with GhostUK and I think that 120 GB should be enough and this HARD drive will be recognized correctly.

In the end, do not you extreme upgrade. ;)

    > Another question is, can I buy for example external USB 2.5 "hard drive and swap the drive of my laptop with it, I mean put > a USB enclosure inside my Toshiba and Toshiba original to USB enclosure?

Of course you can do it.

    Hello @ all,

I tried to install the HARD drive, but it seems to be not recognized by the BIOS. Any chance to get this problem resolved?
With Acronis Disk Man. I get an error message: No. HDD installed!
BIOS version is 1.80, HARD drive is a Seagate ST9320421ASG (Momentus 7200.3 320).

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

Have you tested the HARD drive in a laptop or in an external enclosure? Maybe it s faulty.
Or you test another HARD drive in this notebook.

Normally a 320 should work in Tecra M9.
There is a new version of the BIOS on the Toshiba, but I doubt that the problem of the article, but try to update.
