  I have a macbook 13-inch, late 2009, 2.26 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB 1067 MHZ DDR3 and 250 GB of storage with OS X 10.9.5.

  The HP Scan Pro is part of the software OS X 10.5 and not compatible with 10.6.

  Unisntall incompatible software by following under Applications\Hewlett-Packard HP uninstaller.

  Then, download the software for 10.6 below:

  Menu options can be selected, but nothing happens. Same "About" does nothing.

  I don't know how the app could not get into this State.   It is not something that I can reproduce.

  Try to reinstall the application and the application cache erasing.  Here's how:

  1. Stop Revel and uninstall by dragging the application to the trash system
  2. Use the Finder menu: go > go to folder: ~/Library/Containers/
  3. Delete the folder: ~/Library/Containers/com.adobe.Carousel.mac
  4. Re-install Revel from the Mac app store and connect again.

The strange thing is, its JUST a white screen. No Apple Logo, no folder with a question mark, no crossroads, not just white. Even more strange thing, is, he does not meet the startup commands, such as holding the C, alt, command-R, etc., except the eject button. It could eject discs. I tried everything to get the thing to start SOMETHING, with a Recovery Mode, OS X installation disc, a USB that came with my MacBook Air, which contains the operating system it is running, the OS X 10.7, Lion. I even went all try to install Ubuntu on the thing, with a disk I burned, but that's when things got really climb. The wisest eject button work anymore and now the disc is stick in there. Couldn't get anything out. Nothing. Just click-click and the white screen of death.

  Oh and by the way, I could possibly recovering my data from the hard drive? It would be great. I worked with this computer. =)
