Issues of patch update of 11.1 to 11.2 (undefined references)

I am following document Doc-ID 1585578.1 to improve our database of the EBS R12 of 11.1 to 11.2

The new database has installed OK, but encountered installation issues patch 12834800 and 12942119

When executing opatch apply I get errors as shown below.  I checked and double-checked the version platform and database, as well as tried to add the directory of $ORACLE_HOME/lib to LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.   I think I'm missing some packages that must be installed, but can't find any reference to one of symbol names in support.oracle.com or google. With the help of the nm command in $ORACLE_HOME/lib shows (I think) these symbols are defined (or the less referenced) from there.

Anyone have any idea how can I fix these errors?

Thank you

Dave Smylie

This problem was solved by removing the $ORACLE_HOME and reinstall from scratch.  I guess the initial installation must not have worked properly and don't not noted that the facility had not yet used (like her for the purpose of an upgrade)

I want to know how this registry patch works and how it is installed.

And the creator of disc has lost more than 15 DVDs with the same error code 380381-26-2A030C00. I don't know what to do about this, I tried microsoft solve this software and remove the upper and lower filters in the registry but still I can not burn CD

    Help me. Thank you.

    Hello

    I was a little confused m
This Disc Creator patch do you mean?
What cell phone do you have exactly?

On the page of the European driver Toshiba, I have found a few patches as patch recovery.
But it's registry Patch for the restoration of the system.
After downloading the zip file, you should unpack this package, then you will find an exe file, this file must be decompressed also! Right-click on this file and select unpack here.
Now, you should find a few other files and folders should be an install.exe

However, in your case I would recommend testing another disc as DVD-R from different manufacturers as TDK
I use DVD R and never had any problems with these discs

  • This patch updates apply to 11.2.0.1 to join 11.2.0.2?

    Hello

Our client has Oracle 11.2.0.1 installed. We are trying to understand whether it is possible to apply some patchsets 11.2.0.1 to join 11.2.0.2? We understand that 11.2.0.2 is an entirely separate version and there are ways to put 11.2.0.1 in 11.2.0.2, but we wonder if we kept with applying all the set provided Oracle patch does mean that our database is not to 11.2.0.2?

Or simply patch updates apply to 11.2.0.1 to join 11.2.0.2?

    Thank you

I understand that I can download and install 11.2.0.2 or above versions, but my question is more related to sets of patch which is published quarterly for each version. If I 11.2.0.1 and I apply all patch sets released for this version, I find myself with 11.2.0.2 version?

Not to worry - to 11.2.0.2, you must apply the 11.2.0.2 patch set - there is no other way that I know.

I also know that there is a way to put 11.2.0.1 in 11.2.0.2 following the steps for example here (http://www.mydbspace.com/?p=58), but I don't want to do that. Our client is to be filled by a 3rd party with a system that already has 11.2.0.1 and we cannot simply install another version of oracle. We are trying to understand if it is not possible to go from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2 by simply applying puts the patch for this version, then our customer may request the just 3rd party at 11.2.0.2 level or more.

Upgrade to 11.2.0.2 (or 11.2.0.3 etc), you must follow the instructions of official update here - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e23633/toc.htm

    Hope that clarifies the issue.

  • 11.1.0.7 patch update on binary 11.1.0.6.

I installed binaries from 11g to upgrade my production envt. I'll upgrade to 10.2.0.4 for 11.1.0.7. The upgrade will be through DBUA. My question is-
I installed the binaries - so now the basic version is 11.1.0.6. I want to apply 11.1.0.7 patch update and the PSU of Jan 2010 patch on top of it. All I currently have the binaries and no database of this homepage. 11.1.0.7 pacth readme update specifies a bunch of post installation steps that must be done on the database after the upgrade. Because I don't have a database, I can't do these steps now. Does this mean that after the upgrade, I need to perform the steps mentioned in 11.1.0.7 patch update? Also, can I go ahead and apply the PSU of Jan 2010 patch? I am a newbie and am a little confused here. Can someone please explain?

Your assessment is correct. You will apply the 11.1.0.7 patch and then patch of CPU (why not the CPU of April last patch rather than Jan?). You will need to pass measures of database in the CPU patch for now and run them after that your upgrade completed.

  • DELL PE R710 missing sensors on the tab 'Hardware status' vCenter ESX after latest patch update!

Last month, I update all my ESX host with the latest patches for ESX from 28/04/2011 (ESX410-201104001) via the vCenter Update Manager, earlier this month, accidentally, I have some verification to be done in the server room and noticed a hard drive failure on one of my DELL R710 Rack servers, I you connected the VirtualCenter client and when I click on the tab 'Hardware status' (where the alarms about the) Configuration hardware server usually appear), I noticed that my storage sensors are missing, the network sensors as well! ?? I recall that on March I did have another server hard disk failure, but I saw an alarm (for predictive failure) on my vCenter and I call Dell to replace the drive back!

I also noticed that now the number of my server sensors are between 73 and 88, before I remember although there were a couple hudred of them! ??

After some research on the net, I did I frimware/BIOS upgrade of all hardware on the servers, as I install OMSA 6.5 and Dell management plug-in to vCenter and all seems to work just fine, but storage sensors and count sensor under the tab 'Hardware status' issue was not resolved. I think there is a problem with vcenter, because when I connect directly to the host through the vsphere client, in the "State of health" tab all the material appears correctly. I found subjects with similar problems, but they have been with HP servers and not answered or solved!

Is there anyone with similar problem or no answer to my question?

    Thanks to all in advance!

    godjak

PSIF there need I can post some screenshots!

Confirmed.  Without patch ESX410-201104401-SG, my other R710 has a full complement of sensors.

  • Issues after recent updates

Since the new updates a few days ago I notice unusual behavior from my system.

Startup time is unusually long. From the start, I now see a greyed 'Not' the circle with a line through to the square where the Apple Logo was.

    The system does not boot...

    In addition,

If I'm returning from a "lock screen" I enter my password, and screen "stays" in what seems to be always the recovery password.

If I scroll down, I can see all the apps that are running... I can then change the size of the window and my office is displayed correctly.

    My system is a 2011 with 16 GB i7...

Just an info on certain issues...
