Issues wireless adapter on XPS13 on Windows10

Hi all

I have a Dell XPS13 nine for about 4-5 weeks now and even though many people here, I'm having serious connectivity problems & strength of the signal with my network card onboard.

The interesting thing, I would like to share here is that the NIC from Dell to address onboard seems recorded lower results only when it is used with Win10.

I would get the story right from the beginning.

Laptop computer purchased with Win8.1 Pro preloaded. I upgraded to Win10 since the first day of purchase so I had no experience of the works of the laptop. That's where I noticed two things

(a) network connection was occasionally lossing connection it network and also unable to reconnect or locate avail.networks (unless I did use of the menu troubleshooting). What had been happening quite often. I tweaked the powersaving for the adapter settings, but nothing helped.

(b) the even more serious problem was that the wifi laptop range was EXTREMELY poor. I was losing full access to networks/modems even when I was getting 5-7 meters away from them (not necessarily in-between walls).
It's extremely frustrating because it is impossible even to connect my desktop to the modem from the company which had been 7 to 10 meters. My laptop was pretty useless, so I need to buy a device usb extrenal (booster) in order to connect to the networks.

I thought that the laptop had questions... too bad for such a delicate to be so poor in performance product. A series of incidents to blue screen (crashes) forced me to do a re-installation of windows hoping that it was a software error.

WHEN I DROVE BACK to Windows Pro 8.1, the machine worked perfectly.
-No more lost connection incidents

-The range of my edge adapter Dell Wi - Fi was now very good (do the unnecessary extra) I could access networks that previously inaccessible.

Thinking that this might be the Installation of Win10 of the initial problem, I made a second attempt to re - install Windows 10.
Once installation was over, my XPS started to have the same questions again. Very short-range Wi - fi & disconnections. I also started to have incidents following the peaks of use unreasonable memory blue screen

So, I decided to stay with Win8.1 now... (although I do like em)

My question is... Dell engineers situated in these specific issues (I have other people with the latest models XPS having the same problems of short range on Win10)?

Is there a current difficulty for these?

Now, I'm sure that's a 200% question software that has to do with particularly related Win10.

Maybe someone has managed to solve these problems somehow?

I would really appreciate the help

I had exactly the same problem. My dell xps 13 would lose the wifi connection from time to time, reconnect, he loses again and so on for a few minutes. Then it would work well for a while, but show the same problems an hour or two later.

In the support forums, some users suggested that problems can be caused by the new network driver (7.35.295.0). If you have this driver, try to go back to the old one (6.30.223.227). I downloaded from this site (www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails), have uninstalled a new, removed from the system and then installed the old version.

So far the old driver and none of the problems mentioned above works reappeared. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello, I have a 3010NR Envy14 spectrum with Intel Centrino Advanced N6230 wireless adapter. Driver is 15.9.0.5 dated 16/06/13 dated. I've updated the operating system first to W8 and then to W8.1, since I had problems with the wireless, I had to work at some point after the update of the bios F.06, then when I started the other day, wireless.

I have search in the diagnosis of F2 and it says that the adapter is not installed, when I do a test of component... However when I go to Device Manager / network adapters / click on display / hidden devices, this is, when I look in the properties, he said ""currently this hardware device is not connected to the computer"(code45)". "" To solve this problem reconnect you this hardware device to the computer.

I also have the same problem with the wireless button on the keyboard that I see a lot of people, when I press on it now it switches airplane mode on and outside, where it is used to turn the WiFi on and off... It's always a white light, the orange light that lights up when wi/fi was off is now gone...

Notice to fans, it's really weird... Thanks in advance

    Hey jagnewr,

Thank you for all the information in your message. For the error code that you get in the Device Manager, it means that the device is connected is no longer http://bit.ly/18I67As.

I've included the manual 'Guide to Service and Maintenance HP ENVY14 SPECTRUM'. Please open page 52 and follow the steps to remove the WLAN module. Remove and reset the module.

If you are still not able to connect, and the error code 45 is still present it most likely that the wireless card no longer works.

    Good luck!

  • How to activate the wireless adapter

I currently have a HP Pavilion 17 computer laptop with Windows 7 Professional.  A few times in the past in the unit's wireless adapter stopped working.  I don't remember what I did to get it working again, then however at this time I can not activate even if I followed all the steps to change the settings of the adapter on the network and sharing Center.  When I select Connect, it simply shows that it is not connected.  Nothing I have tried seems to help.  I have a unit of Belkin Wi - Fi that works and my laptop runs as long as I have an Ethernet cable connected.  However if I disconnect the cable from the laptop does not connect via wireless adapter.  In the past he would always stay connected to the Wi - Fi connection even if I disconnected the cable.  Please give me any thoughts you had to solve it.  Thanks in advance for your efforts and help.

I just wanted to know that I found the solution to my problem with the help of a response of the same issue posted last year.  Repeated pressing the F12 key with the picture of an airplane on the wireless card.  Forgive my ignorance, but thanks to all who took time to try to help me.

  • Satellite Z830 - drop out Wireless adapter / conflict with USB

My Z830 Satellite has a weird problem. Wireless connectivity works well until I have plug in a usb key into the usb port 3 on the side. The wireless, then falls after a period and then it does not find the available wireless connections. It effectively kills the wireless adapter, or at least makes it less reliable.

You must restart to recover the connection. I tried with several different usb storage devices with the same result. Both wireless and usb drive work fine, but not at the same time. This occurs regardless if the use of the battery or when it is plugged. I checked the power settings to ensure there wasn't a problem there. Everything is right on install/factory in general settings, so I can't imagine that's all what I changed.

I'm at work, but I'll see if I have the same problem with the usb at the back, or a disk takes hard usb powered, when I get home. It's really annoying, because you cannot use the net and let in a usb disk without risking a fall on the. I haven't checked messing around with settings of USB root hub or from IRC, as it seems unlikely. Any thoughts or is a matter of "give it back to Toshiba" - I'd rather not have the downtime. It took me a while to work on this has been the problem.

The wireless connection is very strong when the ultrabook is used, so is not a question of signal strength.

    Hello

To be honest, I've ever read on similar issues.
Did you check if the problem occurs with other ports USB or does it use a special port of Z830 Satellite?

In your case I recommend also using HARD drive recovery option and to set the system back to factory settings to make sure that there is no software related issue.

  • Wireless adapter is no longer detected?

Well, my girlfriend has dropped my really heavy DVD player on my USB wireless adapter, which was plugged in advance... adapter came out well, but the ports... not so much. So we had to move to the rear ports. We could always connect to the internet, no problem. Then the problems started. We would connect to a maximum of 10 minutes to an hour while that between the duty to repair our wireless connection. Then he stopped to pick up our networks. Now the wireless itself has disappeared.
The card is not detected any longer, but it works fine connected to another PC. I tried reinstalling the drivers, nothing works. I tried EVERYTHING nothing helped. Someone, anyone please help me solve this problem!

It is more of a hardware issue of a Windows problem.  The USB connector could have been damaged such that the power PIN is shorted on a spit of land somewhere.  Try to open the housing of your computer and follow the cables to the back of your damaged USB connector where it plugs into the motherboard and disconnect the connector from the motherboard.  With luck, that could take care of it.

  • Wireless adapter fails - then the computer crashes.

I've had this problem for a few days now. Basically, the problem is that my computer freezes completely and it becomes unresponsive at random times. It happened while I watch videos, play games or surf the internet, even while I'm on the login screen.

I have recently noticed that just before the accident, strange things happen that seem to be centered around the wireless adapter. I'm not going to load a Web page, so I'll check the icon wireless and see that I'm connected to the network, but not internet. And then, as I try to disable and re-enable the adapter, the computer will crash.

I just downloaded the drivers from the adapter and install them, but that has not changed anything.

Anyone know what could cause this weird problem?

    Thank you.

    PS:

Just happened twice again. Failed loading of Web pages, and who warned me that something was up. I unplugged the adapter, the operation aboard as usual for a while, but the computer does not save the adapter has been unplugged and continued to try to load web pages for a few moments, before it crashes.

The first time, he had a BSOD, but he flashed to the top for a while before the computer restarted itself.

  • Belkin F6D4050 v2 USB Wireless Adapter turns off after 5 minutes using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I recently bought a wireless adapter Belkin for use in my Media Center PC in the living room. The router I use is also a Belkin N + Router. The wireless adapter will connect to my WPA encrypted network, but it will stop working after about 5 minutes or more. The State of the connection is going to say "No network detected." The icon shows a strong signal with a yellow bang next to it. It takes a hard reboot to get it working again. Take out the USB port and put again does nothing. The icon remains the same, but he won't let me not make a right-click or left-click on the icon. When you try to stop, the computer turns off completely; It gets stuck on the "Shutting Down" screen.

I disabled the option in the settings to get to power adapter down to save power. I thought that this would fix it, but still the adapter is not connected.  My Dell laptop gets a signal stronger than this card, and there is also no problem to stay connected to the router.

Any help would be appreciated on figure out how to get the card working properly.
