Issues with the display settings - all super tiny

I have problems with the display settings, all of a sudden, everything was super great and difficult to see all the toolbars on the screen, I went to the settings display, and somehow managed to make everything incredibly tiny.  I found a page via the display settings (avancΘs?) that allowed me to adjust the percentage of the elements on the screen.  I reduced to 40%, and then the setting stuck and now I can not see or read anything.  I'm trying to return to the display settings, but I can't find this 'page' which allowed me to make this change.

I saw a similar post:

"I messed up my display settings. my resolution is so great that I don't see anything but black vertical lines and sets of 3 white dotted lines in sequence across my screen. my mouse can not be seen either. is there anyway to restore my original settings? It's as if everything is bigger there should be 200 to 300%.

Hello

There are a few things you can try:

1. reboot the PC then start tapping the F8 key until you get the Windows Advanced on-screen Menu of Options.

Then choose "last good known Configuration". Allow Windows to start.

2. restart PC then start tapping the F8 key until you get the Windows Advanced on-screen Menu of Options.

Then choose "Enable VGA Mode". Windows XP loads with the color values that can handle your "lower" resolution and display driver Once in Windows, change the resolution, then restart the PC.

3. try to go into "Safe Mode", which is accessible in the same way as "VGA Mode". "Review the same routine as no. 2.

I tried to hit F8, but nothing happens, I tried to reboot several times.  How do the Advanced Options?  Someone knows it the screen that I talk with the possibility of adjusting the percentages, how can I find it again?  So I can not really read or see anything.

    Hello

I m not exactly on this fault, but it seems there must be something wrong with the graphics driver and display settings.
That's why I recommend you first remove the old driver and after restarting again try to install the graphics driver from the Toshiba driver page.

I think you are using the Win98. Am I wrong?
Then visit Toshiba, download the Trident display driver and install it!

Good luck and have a nice day ;)

  • Tecra M4: Known issues with the display of graphical interfaces user written in Java?

    Hello

I am developing software in Java which will run on the M4 model and have acquired a M4 to test the application.

In fact, my GUI looks good when the monitor is in a normal "standing" position. However, when I fold the monitor down and transform all a TabletPC, I see the M4 is an empty JPanel.

The GUI is written using the swing and consists of JPanels nested with GridBagLayouts.

I tried to update the OS and my graphics drivers with no luck. First of all I would like to ask if anyone else has experienced similar problems and if so have any suggestions on how to fix?

My M4 runs the same hardware/software that it came with Toshiba and I use jdk 1.5.

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    (1) do you have because of recent changes, after which the problem occurred?

The first thing I would say is to update or rather uninstall and reinstall display drivers and who might have to deal with the issue.

Also I suggest you try to use another monitor to see if it is not a problem with the monitor.

Let us know if the problem persists after the driver updates.

  • Export issues of sequences with the correct settings for DVD

Hi - I'm relatively new at first, but working on a project that is very important for me - for the life of me I can't understand correctly export settings.

I have compiled from home movies of my family in a few sequences for the 60 years of my dad. I worked on these weeks now get cleaned and put all together. In total, it's about 24 hours of footage. These videos have all turned initially on a very old camera video in the 80 and 90 - the kind you actually stuck a VHS tape in. My ultimate goal is to put these or on a DVD (although I guess that's too many images for one), or a drive flash or something of all compiled in one video.

So far, I got error messages on not enough disk space - so I tried breaking the sequences and exported individually as smaller files. But now, when I export those, all videos come out tiny - the video focuses on a much larger screen, do more fit to size. I studied everything about elongation and corresponding parameters and I tried everything. Of course I do not something good, I don't know what.

I tried all different export settings, the settings of the sequence, and I thought I was following with the sequence settings, but I guess I'm not. Although I worked on it for weeks, I am out of time. His birthday was yesterday, and I wanted to give her the finished disc tomorrow. This does not seem possible as I am about to give up!

Someone please help! I would be grateful if someone could guide me through what my sequence settings should be and what my export settings should be and how to get the video output to the correct size for the screen.

    I appreciate your help,

    Danielle

Time of export will vary widely, depending on at least these factors

1 - your computer... Processor and the amount of RAM, and is this external drive, USB2 and USB3?

    2. what you change, and effects that you have applied your 718 x 480 video size... is odd, the usual when scanning a VHS tape is 720 x 480, so your video requires 'some much' extra processing

    Hi @GuardianStation,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your laptop 15-d059sr HP computer and issues with the games. On gaming sites, it is suggested that it might be an update that is necessary with Java. Here, it is a link that you can check with.

You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

If you downgraded to the original version of Windows, this could be the cause. I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. In this way, it will look at the hardware installed on your laptop.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • U3014 + PS3. Problem with the display resolution?

    Hello!

PS3 cannot expose to a resolution of the screen for Dell U3014. I use the HDMI-HDMI cable. In the attempt of a choice display resolution in the settings of the PS3 when it test the monitor may not issue image. This means that an installer of the screen may not be complete. Now the installation of the screen program gives 576 p. As you understand, it is impossible to play on it. Please help with a problem.

    Thank you.

    Niko7,

    The U3014 HDMI port can do 1920 x 1080 (1080 p).
    * With the monitor and the PS3 on and using a HDMI to HDMI (not a DVI to HDMI) cable right, turn off the PS3 via the power switch on the back and then turn back with this same switch
    * Press and hold the power button on the front of the PS3 until you hear 2 beeps. Once it turns on, the screen should display a message something like: "an HDMI cable has been detected, you want to set up?
    * Then go here to set the video output to your TV/monitor
    http://manuals.PlayStation.NET/document/en/PS3/current/settings/videooutput.html
    * When you go through Setup for HDMI setting, you will need to check what your monitor video output modes supported (480i/480 p/576i/576 p/720 p/1080i/1080 p)
    * After you go through the intial setting HDMI menu and displays your PS3 via HDMI cable, on the main menu of the PS3, go to settings and then scroll the display settings. In display settings, put the full range RGB (HDMI) to full and put Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr super-white (HDMI) on we

  • Problems with the display of the 3D graph

    Hello world

I use a 3-d chart in one of my screws and I have problems with the display. See what it shows by yourself:

So, as you can see, the chart does not correctly display the data. But one thing I know, is that the data are sent correctly, because when I copy the LabVIEW graphic and paste it into paint, what I see, this is the graph displayed correctly:

Anyone know what may cause the problem? I also have a similar problem with a waterfall in 3D.

You can always download the updates of ni.com so.

I also went through a documentation on known LV 2011 issues. I was able to find something interesting onthis page:

3D image controls can display transparently or LabVIEW crash on some graphics cards

The 3D Picture Control is based on an OpenSceneGraph that uses OpenGL. It was noted several reports of the 3D image control crashing LabVIEW. In almost all cases, it was an Intel graphics integrated into question. This accident is due to a mismatch of the graphic material. Note: most 3-d charts use the 3D picture control

    Some possible workarounds are:

    • Update the video driver
    • Enable/disable hardware acceleration
    • Enable Aero in Windows 7
    • Disable Aero in Windows 7

I might try these workaround solutions and see if any of them work for you.

  • Download the file: continue to change the display settings

    Hi all

These days, he continues to be for no reason.
I put the display settings to my download folder. The list, by group type, sort by last modified.
However, without one apparent for this folder, other than asking to display its content, the undisciplined directory view my files in a detailed list with the default sort.

My path to the download folder have been changed from the original.
As my Windows is not in English, the name of path is also different from the display name (don't think that will have an impact as the path name is different from the name in all versions of windows-English).

The setting for the folder is 'General Elements' (in properties/customize).

Does anyone have the same problem before? In my view, is not only in the download folder.
Any idea to fix it? I tried using desktop.ini, because I used to do it a lot before, but nothing has changed in this file, when I tried to change the display using the browser configuration.
As I don't remember the setting of desktop.ini, I looked in the documentation.
    Here: http://hwiegman.home.xs4all.nl/desktopini.html
    And here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/cc144102%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
I changed the setting to 3 Vid == Mod.
As the problem appeared at random times, I do not know if my problem is solved :/

I have of course a question of law in the desktop.ini file.
If anyone has any idea... =)

    I had a similar problem.

Certain way when you change the name of the folder.  He lost the file that held the parameters.

I found that the easiest way is to rename the damaged library, I recommend

"Temp of library".  Then create a new library with the name of the library, in your case downloads.

or whatever you want to call it.

Then in the pane left right click the new library.

And then in the left pane right-click the library damaged, then copy the 'Library locations' by using the 'include a folder"in your new downloads folder.

Close windows Explorer.  Reopen and verify that your settings are as you wish.

You can delete the corrupted library.

  • Tecra M5 - SD card reader works with the factory settings

    Hi all
My SD card reader has been in place. It will read a few cards of 4 GB and won't read other (usually newer).
All cards in this problem area are Transcend cards 4GB SD (HC or whatever the format more later is)
The cards, the M5 will not read can be read both my PDA, but also an old Tecra 9000 (who will also tell the other 4 GB cards)

The PC was recently engineers have a problem so I asked to look at this problem. They reported that it was a software problem, because if they load the recovery CD (that is, to bring the machine to factory State) the SD card reader reads cards problem OK; Back to my setup and the SD card reader can not read cards SD - error message is "the request cannot be performed because of an i/o device error."

So I guess that I need new drivers. Very well except that it has no drivers for the drive SD card itself. Its a part of the motherboard. There is a 'secure module SD' on the download from Toshiba site and I downloaded and installed the SD Secure module (dated 2008)
However, Device Manager still shows that the SD host controller driver is Microsoft version 01/10/2002 6.0.4069.5

If anyone has ideas on how to fix

  • Satellite P205-S6337 - blue screen and the black screen with the display driver

    Hello
It is my first time here, so let me know if I did something wrong in the post or something of the sort.

    Info:
    Toshiba Satellite P205-S6337
    Windows OS: Win XP Pro SP3 x 86 (x 32)
    BIOS version: 1.40
    RAM: 2 GB
CPU: Intel Core2 T5300-1.73 GHz, 1.73 GHz (Dual Core)

At the beginning I was watching a video on my laptop with Media Player Classic, I made an update of windows, after I did the update and rebooted my computer I tried to re - open the video with Media Player Classic, then once I did it kept freezing, then gives me a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) saying :
    'igxprd3 '.
    Beginning physical memory dump
    memory dump complete physics. »

So I kept getting that whenever I tried to watch a movie, so I thought it was due to the update of windows, because it is is not the first time that the updates on their part messed up everything. So I reformatted and once he was done after I install all the driver I want to restart my computer, once Windows is started almost entirely the screen begins to bog down then finally go completely black, the computer seems to work very well once he does, but just no screen, so I went in SafeMode (F8) and would be either disable or uninstall the video After that it would be fine, just that it does not use the video card and all current graphic stuff are bogged down and looks bad and I installed versions older and more recent video card and it always does.

Since I'm more savy with desktop and never loved laptop a lot, but what I've tried and what not it just seems that the video card is out. I even tried it blow and ensuring that everything is in place, but I hope I'm wrong and he is not out, if so, is there a way to put a new or add another external any?

The only thing I could think about maybe trying to update the BIOS, but I never had no problem BIOS with any thing with that I'm not kidding, and never a update BIOS since Ive never liked to play with her.

    Hello

In General, change the graphics card is not possible because the graphics card is attached to the motherboard. In this case the entire motherboard must be replaced and an authorized service provider can ask for help.

A point would be interesting: you can install Windows Toshiba Recovery disk? I ask this question because it would be interesting to know what is happening with the factory settings. And you can determine if this hardware or software problem.

  • Satellite A200: nVidia 7300 Go does not save the display settings

These settings, the next time that I reboot or run and release a game settings ALWAYS comes back to the

I can't use a monitor external because the default brightness settings

Support for the New Zealands tech told me that it is a feature of Vista. What's supposed to be a joke?

I also get bad interference on the screen lines when using an external monitor. It's very bad.
