Issues with Windows 7 clean install

HP Pavilion dv7-1135nr

I would like to do a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 on my laptop. With the clean install, that I would like to delete the recovery partition and re-create it with the base installation of Windows 7 Ultimate x 64. My recovery partition contains files image/install Window Vista Home Premium x 64 originals and the drivers? My goal is to have a fresh install / clean x 64 and Windows 7 Ultimate partition recovery, as if he had this direct way of HP.

You wouldn't be able to recreate the recovery to support Windows 7 partition. I would either leave intact or first do the recovery disks, then delete. You may need these if you ever go back to Windows Vista.

Theres been a few problems with Windows Update with Windows 7 clean install for these last months... You can use the WSUS Offline Update Patch Windows 7, after that Windows Update works.

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/WSUS-offline-update/

However since your goal is to make your system a Pro 10 Windows device. You better just download an .iso Windows 10 TH2 and pure install directly with your Windows 7 Ultimate product key:

  • L7780 All in One – Windows 7 Clean install - error when printing

I have a huge problem with a failry new L7780 all-in-one. I has stopped printing from my laptop. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 with a clean install of Vista... ergo I formatted the drive and reinstalled Windows 7. And now every time I print I get the following message "the job failed because of an error on the printing system.

The printer is selected by default.

The printer connects wireless on my network and appears on my connected PC. However, once I press print after a few seconds it seems to disappear.

I did change all network settings and the MAC address is off on my router. It worked well on 2 home pc running XP, worked fine with Vista. And its only present a laptop with Windows 7 that cannot print on it for some reason any.

However, sometimes when I stop... all of a sudden it prints what I asked 30 minutes ago.

I tried the drivers installed and reinstalling.

    I tried forced start-up.

    Stop at the outlet.

    Reset the network adapter.

I can only think at this stage there is a compatibility issue with Windows 7.

Clues? Any help anyone can offer.

    See you soon,.

If it looks like your question:

After you install the product on a network, you turn off the computer, and then, and the product loses functionality. The product is no longer prints and disappears from the icon of the product in the menu devices and printers in Windows 7 (64-bit).

    Try this fix:

  • Anyone know of any compatibility issues with Windows 8 and RV series routers?

I have a small network with a laptop computer, Windows 8, Windows XP desktop computer and a network MyBookLiveDuo storage device. I have sharing enabled between these devices. Everything worked well on a network switch. I replaced the switch with the RV110W VPN Firewall Router to add better security to my network before I have expand it. Since then, I have a laptop Windows 8 intermittent connectivity while the connectivity of the XP desktop computer shows no problem.

On the laptop Windows 8 I ran network troubleshooting, and he complained that two devices on the network are (NAT) network address translation and the symptoms he describes is what I see. Problem is that I don't have a network Analyzer to look at the network in more depth. I looked online for the RV110W documentation and if NAT is listed as one of the characteristics, there is no discussion in the documentation on how to manage this feature in the router.

I can connect to the Windows 8 laptop from Office XP and access shared content. I can connect to the Duo since Office XP without difficulty. However, except when they reappear periodically under the heading of my network in Explorer on the laptop Windows 8, I can't access the Office XP or the Duo of the laptop Windows 8. Curiously, however, I have a part of the Duo mapped as a network drive on the laptop Windows 8 and I can access it even when everything else has gone. Also, the interface of management for the Duo appears on the laptop Windows 8 and I can access the Duo to manage. Only, I can't access the shares on the Duo. Then all of a sudden they reappear under network in the file Explorer and I can then access. I think it must have to do with NAT, but I can't find anything out about it.

If it's something I can turn on the router long enough to see if the problem goes away I would like to try, but I can't find it in the documentation, and I can't find it when I look aroiund in the management interface.

The fact that I am not having the form of the XP desktop computer problem makes me think that a compatibility issue with Windows 8. Does anyone know if Windows 8 did anything with NAT? I try to get help from Microsoft Technical Support, but their level 1 tech told me to call Tech Support Pro when they open later this morning. Support cat Cisco won't open until Monday at 09:00.

Also, throughout this connection problem Internet from the laptop through the router is never interrupted. It's strictly connectivity with other devices on the internal network that comes and goes.

    Hi Gregg,

NAT must not play unless your applications on the internet. The "port Internet" or "WAN port" is a NAT port that converts your public IP address from ISP to your LAN subnet addresses. NAT allows multiple computers on a network to use 1 public IP address.

If your devices are connected to the Ether "LAN ports" they are not affected by NAT unless they are Web applications. 4 'LAN ports"are 2 layer switch ports. This means that all local requests are forwarded by the switch ports.

This device did replace exactly? The XP computers, DUET and window 8, make these products using the static IP address or you allow the RV110 to assign an IP address automatically? What IP address you are using on the LAN of the RV110?

Thank you very much for your reply and I contact sales in the States and it is possible for me to buy a MX 17 or 18, but it must be shipped to an address in the States. It's ok since we do not have an office in Seattle.

However, as it must then be sent reports to the United Kingdom this means I would pay extra delivery customs cost plus so it would not be worth extra costs involved. For the only options that I can see who is available to me buy a non Dell machine or buy a used machine, on Ebay with low spec with windows 7 installed, or the purchase of a UK machine then installing windows 7 Professional our me however, I understand it's not a simple as that.

I thought it would be a right task replacing one of the computers on our ships, but its clear sound far right forward, why is the possibility to buy the o/s 7 available only to States.

  • Unable to activate Windows 7 with upgrade CD (Clean Install)

    Hi Techies,
I bought a laptop eligible for the upgrade to Windows 7. I had received the upgrade DVD and has been upgraded successfully. But after a year now because of the corruption of some files I had to reinstall Windows 7, after which it is said that the key is not valid. I tried a clean install. even tried using the Vista recovery disk and upgrade so that the previous method. but still no luck. Can someone advice how this problem can be solved.

    Thank you

    >.. even tried using the recovery Vista disc and then move like the previous method. But still no luck.
When you install Vista using the original Toshiba recovery disc you will be activated Vista with valid license key. Will upgrade just to upgrade Vista preinstalled, and it must not be enabled.

After the fresh install of Win7, activate preloaded but button down will not work because this key belongs to Vista original you got with your laptop.

Is it possible that this update of last year was a success and this year won't work?

  • Windows 7 clean install fails with ACPI.sys and error blue screen stop: 0x0000007E.

I'm trying to do a clean install of windows 7 Professional (32-bit) on my laptop ASUS X61SL. Initially there was Vista Home Premium (32-bit) running on this laptop.

After the start of the boot and windows 7 by loading files and starting windows comes the blue screen saying:

    STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000420, 0x8EB256C6, 0x8A386640; ox8A386170)

I tried an update of the BIOS already and a full erase of the disk which has been recommended by the ASUS support. Nothing worked, and not even the ASUS support has other ideas how to get Windows 7 to run.

OK, how much RAM have you?

    I found this information:

However, I remembered seeing something on the Internet about Microsoft 64-bit being unhappy with 4 GB of ram during the installation process of the systems... .then I got 2 GB of ram and the installation went OK! I will give the memory later.

  • Pavilion G6-1d21dx: necessary drivers after Windows 10 clean install on g6 (g6-1d21dx Pavilion) Pavilion

I tried the HP support site, but I don't see any drivers for any available OS for my model, the g6-1d21dx Pavilion.

I did a clean install of Windows 10, but the Wi - Fi button does not work. Apparently, there's a pilot called HP wireless button that I need to install. When I do a Google search for it, there is a link to HP's download page, but the link seems to be dead.

HP allows us to download drivers more? It's frustrating, because drivers must be simple and easy.

Can someone please tell me where I can get this and all the other drivers that I might need after doing a clean install of Windows 10?

    Thank you.

Well, I think I solved the problem. The first time I did a new install of Windows 10, didn't have an Ethernet cable connected to the computer. This leads to all sorts of problems, including a lack of access to the Internet and some devices are not installed correctly. I reformatted the SSD drive and cloned my old hard drive, but that resulted in a very slow performance, then I would get errors every other time I start the computer (inaccessible_boot_device, unexpected_store_exception and kernel_data_input_error). In addition, the hard drive that I cloned has been running the 64 bit version of Windows 10, and I wanted to try the 32-bit version, because I want to use some software of old who will not run on 64-bit Windows 10 (for example, the Spanish dictionary Oxford SuperLex 3-in-1, French and German).

Last night, I did another installation of the 32-bit version, but with a network attached cable. This time, after installation and update of Windows, all my devices appear to be installed and working properly. This includes the Synaptics touchpad, the HP wireless button, the AMD Radeon graphics card and the Realtek card reader. I didn't need to install whatever it is myself, and the Device Manager does not display the unknown devices. In addition, installation completed MUCH more quickly with the connected network cable.

Conclusion: If you clean - install Windows 10, I highly recommend that you do so with a network cable attached so that you will have access to the Internet when it is necessary during installation. With fixed cable, both my wired network and my Wi - Fi network have been detected during installation. Wireless network connected, even my Wi - Fi was not available during the installation.
