  The link you mentioned above is just saying that how to create Gantt charts (project, use of resources and planning). In my case, split the tasks and the dependent tasks displayed in the graph. But when you add under tasks, the split and the dependent tasks were not displayed.

  I solved this problem by using view separate query object based on the subtasks. Before this fix, I used object unique view to display the tasks and subtasks in project Gantt chart.

  I am facing another issue. I printed the lap time on the conduct of split operation in project gantt chart. Split a task into two using split of the toolbar image, it prints the mean date of this task. But on clicking right button of the mouse and select split option, it prints the date that I did a right click on the task. But I do not get the precise date several times.

You have stated that you have McAfee, which is a firewall protection and or viruses. Have you tried disabling McAfee? Have you tried another browser? Here is a link to show you how do to troubleshoot Internet Explorer for Windows 8. You could try a System Restore.

  System Restore can restore settings that do not allow you to connect to the Internet.
