It has no red firefox icon more on my screen and no bookmarks - simply disappeared.

Last night my internet came out and today when I turned on my computer there are no Favorites and no firefox in firefox button. I can't go to firefox and go to such or such, because there is no firefox button.

It is possible that Firefox will start full screen mode. To switch between normal mode and full-screen, you can use the F11 function key. Mode full-screen, you also can drag the pointer of your mouse all the way to the top of the screen, right click and get the option to exit full-screen.

No, the shortcut on the desktop has not been renamed. First of all, make sure it is really pointing to Firefox and nothing else:

1 right-click on the icon and choose Properties.

    2. in the Properties window, click the shortcut tab.

3 make sure that the target field says

    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

    4. If so, then click the general tab.

    5. in the top text box, enter the name you want for the shortcut.

    6. click the OK button when finished.

  • By clicking on the firefox icon causes the blue screen crash

It started Friday, February 25, at mid-day. The only changes to the system this morning there were a plugin Adobe Flash player or Shockwave update, I'm not sure and an update on the Office of Scottrade Elite trading app. Two of these changes took place around 0900. The problems began around 1130, when the system, Windows 7 Home Premium had a blue screen crash. Therefore, I uninstalled each of the applications mentioned. I can't open Firefox to work on plugins, because whenever I click on the icon I get a crash blue screen with the words "Failure of Page in the nonpaged area" at the top. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the Firefox application with no clear beneficial effect. Scottrade trading app has been reinstalled and working well, causing no other probs.

    Hi all

I have just recived an e-mail from mrcart and I think it is very likely that his problems were caused by "Iolo System Mechanic Pro":

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-system/Windows-7-crashes-with-blue-screen-when-running/3e72f5e2-0d59-4946-8050-401a397e2911

"Windows 7 crashes with blue screen during the execution of IE8, 'page in the nonpaged area failure'...
What this shows is that the ampse.sys driver is the cause of the crash.
The ampse.sys is a driver for System Mechanic Pro.
System Mechanic Pro has been known to cause problems in Windows 7...

  • No e-mail through Firefox for 24 hours. Checked the V-media, they have worked on my PC, IE OK via remote control. Assuming that it has to be Firefox.

I can't access my e-mail from Virgin Media via Firefox since yesterday morning. Verified with V-Media, they remote - access my computer and open Internet Explorer and have been able to access my mail very well, so I have to assume that the fault is with Firefox.

    Can you help me please?

I use Windows XP for years, no problem talking on Virgin Media, used Firefox for years, also no problem. This problem came out of the Blue yesterday. Took forever for the messaging client open, then the emailes does not open.

Gave up waiting for it to be fixed, looks like that it will never be. However, I tried 'use basic HTML", assuming he can do at the moment, but I find that it works not only (the problem is not affecting him), but it is quite acceptable. Its quality is not reduced somehow, and the UI is better, in my opinion. On the one hand, I see much better malls (they use more of the screen) and all the stuff on the left side are neater and always visible, do not ' hide ' under other bits of "stuff."

For my money, it's better, and I clicked to save as my preference.

  • Firefox does NOT start, the removal and resettlement will start as the last step, but once Firefox is closed, it does NOT restart.

Both browsers (Firefox 21 & IE) installed on my Widows XP 64-bit office refuse to start or click the icon on the desktop, the start menu bar or the executable files themselves. What happens is that all the icons disappear from the screen for 15-30 seconds, then the icons appear on the screen, and the last information message displayed from the system tray at the beginning upward is repeated.

Firefox deleting and reinstalling will start the browser as the last step, but when the new copy is closed, it will not start. Also just restart the download installation without removing Firefox will be 'Upgrade' and start in last step, but when the new copy is closed, it cannot be restarted. Restore running on the new copy has apparent effect on the ultimate inability to restart after closing.

I've only tried the Internet Explorer browser after being unable to start Firefox (its only usually used by States to update procedure) and have not studied either reinstall or repair.

Did you use programs that I listed? All anti-malware programs to detect different things.

    Hello Mikal,

I understand the inconvenience caused to you. I will try to help you in the matter of fixing.

In order to understand the issue more clearly, I would ask that kindly provide me with the following information.

    1. Did you do any hardware and software changes to the system?

    2. Since how long you are having this problem?

    3. Do you receive an error message? If Yes, what is the exact error message?

It is possible that this problem would have occurred due to corruption in the mouse settings in the system.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Run the built-in convenience store equipment and devices and check if it works. Follow the steps below.

Note: If your computer is having problems with a recently installed device or other hardware, try to use the hardware and peripheral troubleshooting tool to solve the problem. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.

    1. Press Windows key + R, type Panel.

    2. Type of Troubleshooting in the search bar, click Troubleshooting.

    3. Click hardware and sound, click on material and devices.

    4. Follow the steps in the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

If the problem persists, please follow method 2.

    Method 2:

Please follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Open the "Start" menu by clicking on the Windows logo in the corner of your screen. Click on "Control Panel."

    2. Click the box in the corner of the window titled "Search Control Panel" and then type "mouse". The window will automatically display search results.

    3. Click on the word "Mouse" in green text to open the "Mouse properties" window

    4. Click on the tab "pointers". Under 'Customize', the window shows your current mouse icons.

    5. Click on 'Select Normal' to highlight and press the button "Browse".

    6. Scroll the list of available cursors and find the files named 'aero_link,' 'aero_link_l' and 'aero_link_xl '. These files contain icons of the hand in three sizes, from the smallest to the largest.

    7. Click on the file of the icon of the desired size. Press the button 'open '. Repeat this process if you want to change all other cursors. For your pointer still resemble a hand, do it for each other cursor on the list 'customize '.

    8. Press the 'Ok' button when you are finished editing all the sliders. The system will immediately change the appearance of the pointer of your.

  • My Firefox icon has changed and I'm not sure of what it is in the mode.

My Firefox icon is an icon, I have seen before with three red and green and a page of tour top right. I was in my program list the other day and hit something in Firefox on accident. Please, help me to understand what that means. Is my browser in private mode or another parameter, I had not asked? Thank you.

You can change the icon using the context menu > properties.

You can check for problems with the Windows icon cache and trying to rebuild the icon cache.

    1. Open the task (Ctrl + Shift + ESC) Manager
    2. In the processes tab, right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select end process.
    3. Open the file picker via ' file > new task (run) "and click on the Browse button.
    4. Type or paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local (%LocalAppData%) in the file name field (AppData is a hidden folder).
    5. Select the IconCache.db file and use 'Remove' from the context menu to remove the file.
    6. After that the IconCache.db file has been deleted, start a new explorer.exe process through "file > new task" for the job and work the taskbar to return.

The IconCache.db file is a hidden file, so make sure you can see hidden files.

    Hello
I wonder, is there a 64-bit version of firefox exist? or not?. I Googled it and I get the mine field. But I like more Firefox icon. If there is the 64-bit version of Firefox exists, u write me download address?

    [email protected]
    Thank you.

There is no version of the 64-bit version of Firefox. What you got is mainly people plug-ins test and to make sure that things work when it is available. You wouldn't be able to do much without your plug-ins and have all been rewritten. Although Flash is now provided with 32-bit and 64-bit versions for users with 64-bit Firefox, so it's a major obstacle.
