  Thanks for the reply, the steps were actually written originally for Windows XP and are still valid. As you can see in the SubinACL download it is designed to work in all versions of windows. The indications in the thread (also posted here) should help you reset the permissions problem. Everything works well so far, but I noticed that in Device Manager, a PCI device seems not to be installed. I tried an extensive search on the internet, has tried to update the driver on Windows. Uninstalled the resettled drivers and the device new & again. I installed all the drivers from the hp website for my 17-3077nr, but still a PCI device is uninstalled. Nothing seems to work.
