It will never be a BBC iPlayer app for Apple TV 3?

Hey there. Anyone of you knows it or speculate may or may not be a real demand for BBC iPlayer for Apple TV 3rd generation? Since its launch on the new Apple TV 4, I wonder why she is absent from the old model. Watching the news, I noticed how HBO now launched on the two Apple TV 2nd and 3rd generation, so I think it should be the same with BBC iPlayer as well. But now it seems only to be a part of ATV4.

If the application fails to get Airplay works with iPlayer? I plan to use an iPhone with ATV3 6s.

Technically AppleTv 3 is still a current model that is still for sale, but that Apple have not yet updated for Apple music I would be very surprised if the old model gets any love.

Personally, I'd be very surprised - had the BBC iPlayer for iOS for ages but no iPlayer AppleTv 2 or 3 AppleTv for many years.

I don't know the ins and outs of how Apple is involved in the preparation of an AppleTv 2/3 "app" but I think that the AppStore model is preferable because it allows 3 parties do the job using the new AppleTV 4 tvOS (Apple could never work with all applications or TV catch-up of the country services) all Apple needs to do is to assess and allow it, if it meets the rules of the AppStore.

I suspect there are a few specific collaboration/work requested by Apple host 3rd party applications ' "with the older models.

While I would like to see it I don't think we will.

iPlayer on iPhone/iPad works reasonably well via an antenna but Airplay is very dependent on network.

    It couldn't be you.  It could be Apple.  My remote with the same kit and the software that you have worked on Saturday.  Today the AppleTV as missing but my old AppleTV is still there and I can still see iTunes.  In addition, I have several iPads different generation with my family and the AppleTV has disappeared, too.  And none of my devices are recognized by the new AppleTV as pairable.  Could be however the AppleTV.

    I gave up using Airplay on my ATV3 long ago and now connect my Mac HDMI because it is much more stable and the quality is exceptional.     BBC iPlayer lets you download and store the content, but it does not allow content to spread faster it is played, so build a buffer. In addition streaming nothing of AirPlay, it uses only 1/3 bandwidth and does not have the same questions. BBC iPlayer has never been a problem for me on my Apple TV.

    Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon and select run as administrator.

    Delete the log file should fix the problem with is program is temporarily unavailable. See the link below from BBC iPlayer.

    For Windows Media Player:

    1. Go to Start
    2. Select Control Panel
    3. Select programs and features
    4. Select or turn off Windows features turn on
    5. Extend the functionality of media
    6. Uncheck Windows Media Player
    7. Click OK
    8. Restart the computer
    9. Repeat steps 1-5
    10. Check Windows Media Player
