  • Apple music stuck on Shuffle

Hello, my wife and I share an account Apple music family and while she can use his account, she can't listen to the albums as they are taken, she receives only the "random" option on his iPhone. Is there a setting she or I'm missing? Only the primary account holder Gets the opportunity to listen to albums as shown?

    Hi Grizzeg,

Yes, she gets full access to play songs on the music of Apple. It seems random to me turned on and I can help you turn off.

Start by making up the screen of playing in the music app. To do this, start playing a song and tap the miniplayer at the bottom of the screen. It will look at the screenshots below.

This will bring up the screen play underway, as shown below.

From there, you should see play down controls and can hit the shuffle button until it's off. Then the songs will not play in random order.

More details on the game controls are in the link below.

    Hey there!

Thanks for reaching out! Looks like you can see that shuffle is turned off, but iTunes is always random. I would start by seeing if we can isolate a specific iTunes library or a specific user. Create a new library and test it using this link:

Open a different iTunes library file or create a

If it works the same way in a new library, would then move on to a new user on the computer tests:

I don't think they want to be able to use shuffle with no possible way to turn it off.

Many people have the same problem and it is obviously a programming problem.

  • 12.3.2 iTunes stuck on sync with iPhone 6 iOS 9.2 amendments pending to be applied

My daughter recently updated its MacBook Pro for Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 and she has a 6 - iOS 9.2 replacement iPhone. She's trying to synchronize his phone to his MacBook Pro with iTunes and it keeps stuck at step 7 of 7 - for waiting for changes to be applied. They are never applied and iTunes crashes. Any suggestions?

    Hi alp1116,

When the synchronization process hangs at step 7, it is usually indicative of a problem with what is called the "iPod Photo Cache". It is a folder that contains the converted versions of the images that are be synchronized with the device in question, whether an iPad, iPod or iPhone. Lets remove this folder so that it can be regenerated and will not result in the loss of any data.

  • Shuffle memory

The summary on my 2 GB Shuffle page 1.1 GB of "other".  I can't access it to see what is there.  I tried to do a reset to factory settings, but I'm not allowed because another program is using files on the Shuffle.  Can someone give an overview?  I'm more than willing to go back to a completely empty device.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

    Gary FS

You should be able to do a restore via iTunes, and this is the appropriate action for the 'Other' question.  Eject shuffle in iTunes and disconnect.  Reconnect the shuffle and immediately try to restore in iTunes.

If you get the same error message, try restarting your computer.  Immediately after startup is complete, run iTunes, connect the shuffle and try to restore again.

  • follow the not sync iTunes

I recently bought and downloaded a song on iTunes. When I move the shuffle, playlist does not recognize the track and jump directly. Resetting the device, remove from library, make a new list of reading and redemption have failed so far. iTunes indicates that the synchronization is complete, but it's ONLY the a track which is a problem. How can I fix it?

First, confirm that the song is on the shuffle.  The shuffle not having no screen, you can do it in iTunes.  Select the shuffle in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under on my device, click music.  To the right, the list of songs of the shuffle is shown.  Is the song that gets skipped on the shuffle?

When I try to organize my music on iPod shuffle it wont let me it will show me a red circle with a slash in it.

He will show me a red circle with a slash in it.

You see this in the window of iTunes on the computer?

If iPod shuffle is older than 1st gen or 2nd gen model, OR if it's the 3rd generation or 4th gen set to use automatic synchronization, the shuffle can be associated with both iTunes library.  Therefore, if on the shuffle songs have been previously synchronized using a different iTunes library from your current iTunes library, you must associate the shuffle with your current iTunes library.  This clears the existing content of the shuffle (from the previous iTunes library) and replaces it with the current contents of the iTunes library.

Your information is limited, but perhaps that is the reason for what you describe.  If this isn't what you describe, please post back with more details, including where you see the "red circle with a slash" and model iPod shuffle.  There are four types of iPod shuffle, presented in this document

  • How to install and format the iPod Shuffle 512 MB in Windows 10?

I tried to install and old iPod shuffle 512 MB (the long one) of 10 Windows 64 bit computer since the original installation CD and it retains formatting forever. I had to stop the installation. Any ideas?

Do not use the original disc.  This is the software for nearly ten years ago, and it probably won't work with Windows 10.  To use an iPod, you must install iTunes; Download the latest version here

    http://www.Apple.com/iTunes/

Run the downloaded installation program to install iTunes 12.  Launch iTunes and connect the old iPod shuffle to a USB port.  Although the iPod is old, it works with the latest version of iTunes (as long as it is functional).  The shuffle will appear in iTunes as a button on the device, on the horizontal bar that runs through the iTunes window.  See below for the screenshot of the window of my iTunes (on the upper left), showing the device for a 1st shuffle button (circled in red) gen.

Click the button on the device to display the screen of the iPod settings in iTunes.

This is for the original shuffle user's guide

    https://manuals.info.Apple.com/manuals/0/MA521/en_US/iPodshuffleUserGuide.PDF

However, this manual is as old as this software disk and does not exactly how the latest version of iTunes.  Once get back you to the point where you see the shuffle in the iTunes window (and you have songs in your iTunes library), please post with your questions.  I can provide advice to sync songs to your shuffle.

  • Windows 10 on pc itunes is on pc but my CD is on an external hard drive and I want to keep them there, but how can I get itunes to use does them everyone please have a fool proof statement

I need to download iTunes to use my CD which is on an external hard drive and would like to keep on it. Please can someone tell me just how to do this

My advice make a library of portable split is a general guide, but as such, it has all sorts of details that you may not need.

I guess you have previously installed iTunes such as library files were in the usual place of C:\Users\ < user > \Music\iTunes but the media were on an external drive, for example in X:\ < Media folder >, and no longer have access to the old library, or are perhaps new to iTunes, then so be it you will need to start over again. If, then hold down the SHIFT key when you launch iTunes. Keep now until you see a prompt to create or choose a library. Click on create and make a new library at the root of the external drive, i.e. as X:\iTunes , where X is the drive letter of the external drive. Once this operation is complete, use Windows Explorer to move the existing media folder within the X:\iTunes\iTunes Media, rename the folder that you moved as say other media to avoid any possible confusion in the future, select the menu with Ctrl + B bar and use file > add folder to library, to import the file to other media in the library. Will everything that iTunes adds to the library be shuffled around. All that remains in the other media will be happy that iTunes does not know what to do with such incompatible media or album art carried out by Windows Media Player. You can sift throigh this, take what you want and use replacements for all players what you keep.

If you need me to explain it further, do not hesitate to ask.

  • How can I get music on the shuffle to be more constant volume?

I use the shuffle in our truck through an auxiliary Jack.  When I mixed songs, the volume is not constant.  Some are too soft hear and others are fine and some too strong.  It is not as bad if I use a headset, but it still seems a difference from one album to another.

There is a feature called Sound Check.  First, enable it in the reading of the iTunes preferences pane.  This makes all songs play at the same level calculated, during playback of songs in iTunes.

If your iPod shuffle 3rd generation or current 4th gen, it also has a Sound Check parameter, which must be enabled.  Select the shuffle in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show his summary of the settings screen in the iTunes window.  There is a checkbox for Sound Check, under Options.  Check mark and click apply.

This is a 2nd generation iPod shuffle, correct?

When I plug my iPod on my PC from the window.

He said: "the folder is empty.

This looks like what you see when you look on the shuffle using the Windows File Manager.  If that's what you do, you must use iTunes to see what is on the shuffle and manage content on the shuffle.  iTunes data are hidden on the shuffle, except via iTunes.

Install iTunes, if it is not already

    https://www.Apple.com/iTunes/

Launch iTunes and connect shuffle.  The shuffle appears as a button on the device on the horizontal bar that runs through the window iTunes.  Click it to see the random settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click iPod.  To the right, the list of songs of the shuffle is shown.
