iTunes 12.5 randomly adding to the next place; Shuffle off

First of all, I want to mention that I am a developer of software (specifically for the iOS and OS X platforms), so I'm no stranger to the resolution of the problems. However, I've looked everywhere on the internet for people with a similar problem and found nothing!

The question

To play any song, whether it's straight out of an album in my recently added or one through research, my iTunes automatically adds songs randomly my library to the next place. So even if I decide to play the 4th song in an album, instead of playing the song 5 after that, he'll play another song randomly my library. Before ask you, shuffle is and has always been, disabled. I do not use the shuffle. It's one of the reasons as to why this is becoming quite annoying.

Steps to reproduce

Something to note that this happens only occasionally. Sometimes my library will play things very well, and then randomly, the bug will be add to my next place and ruin everything. The bug happens usually when I play on a new album. I use AirPlay occasionally as well, but I do not have all memory of if everything changes when enabled / disable. Curiously, he can't always launch. It be peut, but not always.

As an estimate of the frequency approximate, if I'm playing music off my library for 5 hours of the day, it will happen 3 - 4 times.

  1. Open iTunes (make sure shuffle is off)
  2. Start playing a song from anywhere, be it of an album or single
  3. iTunes will eventually add songs to my next place at random

Temporary workaround

Even once to the top following was deleted, and I try to play a new song, iTunes will be once more, to add to the next place. It's that when I clear the next room, turn shuffle on and then turn off shuffle again, it stops. Sometimes the out-turned on will not work, and I have to repeat 2 or 3 times until it finally stopped.

This question and discovered the following:

It depends on where you click to start the track. If you click directly with simple click the small arrow that appears when moving the mouse on the title you want to play first, he will play songs randomly thereafter.

If you double-click the title itself (not the small arrow), then it will play not random.

It's not intuitive user experience.

  • Why can I not add music to the next place more?

This new update *. The feature that I found important on the old update has been removed, the possibility of creating a queue up next. I don't see why you could get rid of this ability. Explanations or something, I see no need to for?

In addition, the design itself *, on both the app and the office. It was better before.

You have to touch to add songs to your queue until the next Force the song you want to add to the queue and select play. The song will be added to your queue up next and will play just after the end of the currently playing song. What you can or can not find in the Force Touch menu is the option to play letter which replaced the option Add to the next place on previous versions. Everything you add to the next queue play literally will then play unless you rearrange once on the queue. Some have reported having the option of playing later in some cases, and then it disappears. Me, I've not seen once again. I hope this helps.

  • iTunes Store, songs were added to the album

    Hello

I bought an album on iTunes, handwritten Shawn Mendes (Deluxe), when it first came out.  I saw that they have recently added a new song on the album and it's still the same price.  Is it possible that I can get this song if I already bought it before they added a new track?

    Thank you

Depends on if it has been added to the same version of the album you bought, or whether a separate version, and therefore, a separate purchase. Only the track and this album, show in the purchased item (account > bought on the current iTunes menu option) for download?

  • Why my iTunes library sound randomly cut during the use of my new macbook pro and the old Bose speakers?

Why my iTunes library sound randomly cut during playback on my new Macbook Pro and the old Bose speakers?

The speakers connect through a USB port, instead of by means of the mini plug stereo audio output (headphone)?

If it uses the standard audio out Jack, try to plug ordinary headphones instead.  The problem goes away or still occur?

  • Removed add it again in the next place, songs later play playlist iOS 10.0.2

Using and iPhone 6 installed 10.0.2, when I remove a song from the top then / list of play later and then move to the next or same song to pause and press on play on the current song, the song that I removed back in the list where he was. This started only after the 10 iOS updated and happens in the playlists and albums. Applying music to quit smoking and to turn on/off the phone do not help. I'm going to assume, it's a bug, but just in case where it is not I thought I would ask if anyone has a solution.

Given a workaround for this bug is evident in another thread who says to re-arrange the order of playing at least one song in the following list to play after removing the desired content and that this sort of action "crushes" and solidifies the deleted order for the songs, preventing them from home.

  • 'Add to the next place' in Music App iOS 10

The "add to up then" has been a great feature in iOS 9 where you can simply select the music and to your queue that would play the songs in this order.

10 iOS seems to have removed this feature. The only thing that is available is the feature of 'playing the next' and when you select additional music, they get queued in front of the precedents that I selected.

Did I miss something or iOS 10 really removed this feature?

I think that if you click and hold on the song and select "Play later" he adds at the end of the queue of your next game. Unfortunately, one thing that I find annoying is that if you were playing an album or a playlist it will add it after those songs, where previously "Add up then to" add their advance on what was played.

  • A song stops and goes to the next song in iTunes.

My favorite song of Foo Fighters stopped playing 4 seconds and then move to the next song.  It does on my iPhone and iTunes online.  However, it will play through on my Groove music completely in Windows 10.  Help!  I need this problem soon... I can't do a flight of 5 hours without him!  Thank you!

Whenever this happened to me, it's because a synchronization failed to halfway through or I disconnected while downloading an album. Usually the withdrawal of the album and add new solves the problem

Hi, I've updated again iTunes 12.4 and I lost the list of recently added music view

  • When going to the next iTunes update?

Screw the "how to write a good question", I'll be explicit enough here.

I have an iPhone with the latest firmware 6. I have an iPod nano 7th generation with the last update of the firmware. I also have iTunes version 12.3.3.17.

I've been using apple and iTunes for my music and it works well. The biggest advantage of the apple ecosystem is its General ease of use (at the expense of the power user who wishes to have more granularity and control more changes, but I digress).

Long story short, before I updated to iTunes 12.3.3.17, I could sync my iPhone 6 and my iPod nano 7th generation very well. After update iTunes 12.3.3.17, it will recognize that I'm trying to connect my iPod nano 7th generation, but you will encounter an error. iTunes 12.3.3.17 does not yet take into account that I connect any type of device when I try to connect my iPhone 6.

    I tried the following:

    (1) I checked the cable. I tried 2 usb cables of lightning. The two cables are fine. Connect to iTunes still does not work

    (2) I tried all ports on my laptop. My USB ports are fine. Still doesn't connect to iTunes.

    (3) I tried to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Still doesn't connect to iTunes.

    (4) I tried to roll back to an older version. I encounter an error of the library where the old version of iTunes cannot read the new version of iTunes library.

No, restoring an older version of iTunes and follow the measures to ensure that the library is read isn't a real solution, it's a work around until the next update.

I'm not willing to mess around with the files, potentially lose my library and the money I've invested there.

I like iTunes because it is the online library of wide, I know where I can buy the music. I'm not in the trend of premium internet radio, where people subscribe to get full access to a huge library of songs. I am a young old school (going on 24 years) who prefers physically possess (or in the case of apple, license) copies of music that I like. I get many premium internet providers allowing you to download songs for offline listening, but it's only for as long you pay their subscription.

Apple is currently working for me because I have a "safe" online to buy and download songs, as well as synchronize with my devices in a simple and direct way. However, I am fiercely musical, and I know and understand the other side of the economy of music where people are downloading freeware music software to manage their libraries and/or download music from sites such as BandCamp and SoundCloud (in some cases, legally and for free).

I ask because I want to know when I can expect the next real solution to this problem. This isn't some minor, the issue of 'oh, we have abandoned in favor of this product'. Right now, I am unable to manage my Apple ecosystem because of this blunder. And I searched through the forums and the "solutions" that have been given have been workarounds for this problem.

When can I expect the next version of iTunes to spread and apple knows about this question and to devote resources to solve? This isn't a race of the issue of the factory, is a huge blunder, and I read support wires that date back to when the first version was released in March. We will get a solution soon? or will we have to wait for the next stable release?

In response to the question in your subject line, only Apple knows when they will release the next version of iTunes. Until they announce, nobody here can answer your question.

    Good luck.

  • How can I get rid of "Recently added" at the top of iTunes page?

For the Album, iTunes playlist has two sections. The highest is "recently added" - and the songs or albums, well, more recently added. Below, there is a complete list of all your albums, by icon.

I do not use "Recently added." In fact, I would like to get rid of if. How can I prevent iTunes who trace "recently added"? I want just a list of albums, and that's all.

    Thank you!

Not exactly sure iTunes on Mac, but on Windows, the top right where you area selection where you see artists or Albums, if you tap it, you will see a checkbox for recently added. I have not found a way on my Windows computer so that it can remember this setting, but it's where you can turn it on or off.

  • Sometimes during random playback of music, next song starts from the Middle

This has happened for about 2-3 months now. It is usually a rare event. Maybe its just me, but I feel that slowly becomes more frequent...

In any case what happens is, while I'm listening to my iphone the shuffle, it starts the next song as usual, but sometimes this song will start from the middle. It's weird. It also happens when im jumping songs manually.

    -A.L.

Start with the basic troubleshooting steps.

First, try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10 to 20 seconds).

If this does not help, you may need to restore your iPhone.

  • Downloaded CD not added to the title of the artist (iTunes 12.3)

I recently downloaded a CD.  However, the CD will unite with the other albums by the same artist.  I need to change the information on the CD because he arrived with missing information.  All information fields have the same info (which means the downloaded CD and other content), artist of the album, artist, etc..  How can I fix?

A little confused by what you mean by downloading a CD. Did you buy the album on iTunes or did you import you a physical CD in iTunes. If you have imported the CD into iTunes, then when you import iTunes contacted a database of third-party called Gracenote that maintains information about the albums. This information can be sometimes inaccurate. To change the information for the right click simply whole album (Ctrl-click) the album icon and click Info. You can change information for the CD it and it will be applied to all the songs on the album. You can also select all the individual pieces at the same time and then edit the information that will apply to selected all the songs. You can change the name of the album, artist, genre, art, etc..

  • SX10 or SX20... Adding the calendar to the screen to show the next meeting

I've seen screenshots of it, but I do not know how to configure it. Documentation for the SX10 is hard to find.  How can I configure my SX10 or SX20 to show the next meeting on the wallpaper next to the clock?

With the SX10 and the new endpoints with the new user interface, at the request of TMS meetings will be displayed automatically on the screen next to the clock for systems managed by TMS.  This is why the SX10 lacks the TodaysBookings option in its configuration.  I just tested and confirmed.

What Wayne refers to apply to the endpoints using the older user interface, such as endpoints SX20 and C series.
