I recently bought a HP Envy and it came with the operating system Windows 10. Whenever I plug my phone the phone companion rises and ITunes does not recognize my device.

  • iTunes does not recognize any of my iPhones (Windows 10)

I've recently updated iTunes 12.4 and now my iPhone 5s, and my iPhone 4 are not recognized by iTunes. They appear as 'Apple iPhone' in my file Explorer, but are not accessible via iTunes or iFunBox. I tried all the options in the management of the link here:

    I removed the lockdown folder.

    I tried several cables.

When I go into Device Manager, there is no "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" under "In Bus USB controllers", but there is 'Apple iPhone' under 'portable '. If you're looking for an update to this pilot says 'Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up-to-date' "MTP USB device".

  • Windows 7 does not recognize USB devices. Have no system access keyboard or mouse.

    Separated from this thread.

It is a question.  I have a Windows 7 laptop.  It has three USB ports.  They always worked perfectly.  Today, one of them stopped: Port_ #0001.Hub_ #0002

A sign of error says: "unrecognized usb device".  Troubleshooting, said that there no problem but under properties of the device, he says that Windows has turned off because it has detected a problem (Code 43).  I tried to plug in several things: camera, various readers flash, mouse, etc. They all used to work properly until today.  Now, it's just a dead port.

    Hi Seiberte,

Thanks for posting the request in Microsoft Community Forums. I appreciate all the steps you tried to solve the problem.

What is the brand and model of the computer?

A device driver has notified the operating system that the device failed. This situation can occur if the peripheral equipment fails or if the device driver fails.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps.

    1. To open Device Manager, click Start, click files, and research programsand type Device Manager. A list of the available items will appear above the search box; Click on Device Manager. Device Manager opens with the name of your computer to the top and a list of the devices installed on your computer under the name of your computer.
    2. Locate the device in the list of devices, right-click on the device and then click Uninstall. When a warning message that you uninstall a device in your system, click OK. Device Manager uninstall the device.
    3. Right click on the name of your computer in the Device Manager, then click on Search the hardware changes. Device Manager scan your system and reinstall your device automatically.
    4. Right click on the device, and then click Properties. The general of the device, in the State of the device Properties dialog box tab, you should see the message this device does not work correctly.

If the steps above do not solve problems with the device and the device is an external drive, such as an external hard drive or USB flash drive, use the icon of the taskbar to safely eject the device, and then disconnect the device from the computer. For devices that use AC power, unplug the unit from the wall outlet or the power strip, wait 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Turn on the switch of the device and then plug it into your computer. If the system includes a driver diskette, ensure that you have at hand to install device drivers; otherwise, Windows should automatically locate the appropriate drivers and install them.

  • iTunes does not recognize my iPad

I was syncing my iPad to iTunes for several years with no problems. When I tried to sync this morning, iTunes does not recognize my iPad, regardless of what I'm trying. My backup and applications are still there, but they just don't connect. I'm running an iPad2, iOS 9.3.1. I have authorized an update of iTunes in the last week or two, but I don't know which is linked. Current ITunes is 12.3.3.17, installed on a PC with Windows 10. The device icon does not appear in the menu bar iTunes header.

    I tried:

Restart both iPad and PC, without any help.

Uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes without help.

I would like suggestions. Thank you very much.

  • iTunes does not recognize my iPhone on my HP Pavilion Windows 10 5s, so cannot sync the phone, which has the latest operating system running

iTunes does not recognize my iPhone on my HP Pavilion Windows 10 5s, so cannot sync the phone running. I downloaded the latest OS for the phone and the latest version of iTunes on my PC and have tried all USB ports several times. I also reinstalled drivers USB to the PC.  The phone is recognized on the computer of a friend under Win 7. All shows when I plug it on mine is a page showing the 'Apple iPhone' folder display of storage internal (2.18 GB free of 14.7 GB). Troubleshooting in devices and printers, where the phone displays as "Not specified Apple iPhone" generates a message saying that "Apple iPhone is an older USB device and may not work with USB 3.0 and plug it into a USB 2.0 port." But when I use USB 2.0 (I tried several times using each of the three USB ports on my PC), troubleshooting the error message says "Apple iPhone won't work correctly with USB 3.0." This seems to be a recent problem, since in March 2016, I could spend a few songs from my PC to my phone using iTunes.

I wish I had some ideas of people who have experienced this problem, I find to be a more frustrating one.

Well, you aren't the only one. This just freakin happened to me. I spent the last three hours with apple and Windows supports. Now I'm reinstalling Windows 10 by last resort of Windows support councils. I got the same message USB. In iTunes, under devices something removed my 5s and the iPad. But it remains 6 s wife. I tried my computers 2-(SS) 3.0 ports and 1 port 2.0 ordinary. I tried all four thinners cables I have. I will let you know the result of the Windows reinstall.

  • Windows Media Player does not recognize the device (iphone)

I'm trying to download music from Windows Media Player on my iphone. I can get the files in the synchronization section but the Media Player does not recognize my device or seem to have a way to connect. Can anyone help?

You will need to install iTunes. The iTunes Setup program adds drivers and services for the iPhone. That's what I do:

    1. Once iTunes is installed, it allows to import all the music in Windows Media Player.
    2. If you want to automatically download album art, you will need to register for an iTunes Store account. Otherwise, just copy the album art from Windows Media Player:
    a. at a command prompt, cd in each music folder.
    b. attrib s h AlbumArt * Large.jpg
    c. xcopy AlbumArt * %tmp% Large.jpg
    d. attrib + s + h AlbumArt * Large.jpg
e e.. now, for each album in iTunes, right click and choose 'Get Info'. Drag & drop the corresponding JPG of %tmp% in the field "Cover Art" and click OK.
    3. connect your iPhone. Select "Manually manage music" on the screen of the iPhone.
    4. click on the icon on the left side of iTunes music. Make sure that all the music that you want to synchronize has an audit. (This is the default).
5 Select and drag it to the icon of the iPhone.
