IPhone SE, Windows 10, update ITunes, McAfee
Connect the phone to the computer and the window phone company recognizes the phone immediately. I close the phone company of the window and open ITunes. ITunes does not recognize the phone. I have the menu bar, select file > currencies, all the options are greyed out.
Disable McAfee, and then try again.
iTunes is not recognizing my phone and my ipad, I tried everything I could find on the line, nothing works
What should do?
Since yesterday, I have the same problem. It happens after a (at home) Microsoft Windows 10 automatic update to version 1511! So I think that some drivers are removed or modified without taking into account the needs of apple. Does anyone know that the drivers and where to get them? Or if possibly an another Microsoft Update again clears this problem?
Thank you very much!
I updated iTunes and my iPhone to the latest updates (iOS 10 and all that is the iTunes one) and iTunes does not recognize my phone, but my computer recognize (I have a HP envy with Windows 10). I tried everything that looks like finding the Universal Serial Bus thing and turn off my limitations and download and redownloading iTunes. I did the thing were I updated my driver on the computer and nothing has worked. I don't understand why it does not work. I can't even synchronize with iTunes via Wifi, it just does not appear. Someone please just help me please
I understand that you are not able to get iTunes to recognize your iPhone, now that you have updated your iPhone to iOS 10. That you have described here some quite impressive troubleshooting in-depth. Fortunately, however, it may well be a few additional things to try in this situation.
First of all, let's make sure that iTunes is completely up to date: iTunes - download iTunes
If the update to iTunes is not your iPhone appears, see if there are all the steps described in the article below that you do not have covered still.
See you soon
I use a portable Win10. Recently, I installed iTunes (version 12.4) and plugged my new iPhone (iOS 9.3.2) SE in. My computer went on the usual sounds and a folder showing my phone in the windows Explorer appeared and my phone started to load.
But iTunes does not recognize my phone, so I can not sync with my computer. It just doesn't do anything, regardless of how many times I have re - install iTunes or plug my phone in and out.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

iTunes does not recognize my iPhone on my HP Pavilion Windows 10 5s, so cannot sync the phone running. I downloaded the latest OS for the phone and the latest version of iTunes on my PC and have tried all USB ports several times. I also reinstalled drivers USB to the PC. The phone is recognized on the computer of a friend under Win 7. All shows when I plug it on mine is a page showing the 'Apple iPhone' folder display of storage internal (2.18 GB free of 14.7 GB). Troubleshooting in devices and printers, where the phone displays as "Not specified Apple iPhone" generates a message saying that "Apple iPhone is an older USB device and may not work with USB 3.0 and plug it into a USB 2.0 port." But when I use USB 2.0 (I tried several times using each of the three USB ports on my PC), troubleshooting the error message says "Apple iPhone won't work correctly with USB 3.0." This seems to be a recent problem, since in March 2016, I could spend a few songs from my PC to my phone using iTunes.
I wish I had some ideas of people who have experienced this problem, I find to be a more frustrating one.
Well, you aren't the only one. This just freakin happened to me. I spent the last three hours with apple and Windows supports. Now I'm reinstalling Windows 10 by last resort of Windows support councils. I got the same message USB. In iTunes, under devices something removed my 5s and the iPad. But it remains 6 s wife. I tried my computers 2-(SS) 3.0 ports and 1 port 2.0 ordinary. I tried all four thinners cables I have. I will let you know the result of the Windows reinstall.
My I tunes does not recognize my I pad or I phone. There's no problem on another computer. I tried to remove Itunes and reinstall, but no avail. Computer is windows 10
I've recently updated iTunes 12.4 and now my iPhone 5s, and my iPhone 4 are not recognized by iTunes. They appear as 'Apple iPhone' in my file Explorer, but are not accessible via iTunes or iFunBox. I tried all the options in the management of the link here:
I removed the lockdown folder.
I tried several cables.
When I go into Device Manager, there is no "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" under "In Bus USB controllers", but there is 'Apple iPhone' under 'portable '. If you're looking for an update to this pilot says 'Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up-to-date' "MTP USB device".
More interesting still, I went down to iTunes 12.1.3, thinking that would take me back to a working version, but in fact it STILL does not recognize my phone(s)!
What the hell is happening?
If your iOS device does not appear in iTunes, try the following:
- Open Control Panel > Device Manager
- Plug in your device
- Locate Bus USB Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
It is also possible that the device may appear under imaging devices, portable devices or other devices or as a device USB of MTB.
- Right-click and select software update of the driver...
- Click Browse my computer for driver software
- Go to C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
- Click on let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer
- Click on Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
- Click Next, then close and exit the Device Manager
To step 3 above, open the Device Manager. Expand one of the articles that are listed.
- USB Bus controllers
- Imaging devices
- Portable devices
- Other devices
Plug in the appliance. You should hear the telltale Windows sound device connection and a Division must acquire a new entry. This should be your device. It cannot be labelled properly at this point. If you do not hear a suspicious noise cable damaged.
If not try a complete tear down and rebuild iTunes in accordance with the resolution of the problems with iTunes for Windows updates.
Or try to go back to the last version of iTunes that has worked for you. See the programs installation of iTunes to download links. If you roll back to 22.214.171.124 to 126.96.36.199 or 188.8.131.52, for example, then you will also need restore the database of the library in the manner described in the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library. The tip makes suggestions to reintroduce recent purchases, so at worst, you lose a few meters or a newly created playlist.
iTunes does not recognize one of my devices. Option "Approve this computer" is not coming. Instead, "you allow this device to access...". "appears. What is going on?
I don't know what is happening with my phone and my iPad. A week ago, I managed to sync and back up my devices in my laptop but somehow, now, it does not recognize. The option "Trust this computer" is not appearing the same. I almost tried everything / I restarted my computer and my device, reset the network settings, updated all the software simple, use as many USB cords and tried different every single port on my computer. Do you guys know what happens?
This can help:
I recently bought a HP Envy and it came with the operating system Windows 10. Whenever I plug my phone the phone companion rises and ITunes does not recognize my device.

I understand that your iPhone 6s more is not recognized when connected to your computer Windows 10.
To begin troubleshooting of this situation, I would read over and working through the information in the following article. Article does not include instructions for Windows 10 specifically, but should be similar for the instructions of Windows 8.
iTunes was working fine yesterday, the computer recognizes the device and managed to make a back-up. Put current iTunes 12.5.1 and now iTunes does not recognize that a device is connected. The computer recognizes that a device is connected, it is a device of trust but not iTunes. Even in the file menu, devices is not available. All the USB drivers are up to date and used 3 different usb cords.
Current iphone OS 10.0.2

My ipad has attempted to update itself.
However it has stagnated at about 99% on the screen - I left it there for 2 days and he didn't budge.
So I restarted it, but now it is completely non-functional.
He tells me to connect to itunes, but itunes does not recognize it.
I rebooted with the market button / stop and the home button, but he brings the same loop, asking me to connect to itunes.
The computer seems to recognize the cable / something is attached, but itunes doesn't see it.
SO I can't restore it. It's like a useless brick.
I use this for my small business has so need to fix and work.
It's an iPad 2. Worked perfectly for years. Never damaged. Always in the case and supported.
A person in an Apple store would be able to solve this problem quickly for me? Somehow?
Did install you the latest iTunes? If you have not done so, download the latest version of iTunes and install it. Most recent IOS may require more recent iTunes. Here is the link: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
I was syncing my iPad to iTunes for several years with no problems. When I tried to sync this morning, iTunes does not recognize my iPad, regardless of what I'm trying. My backup and applications are still there, but they just don't connect. I'm running an iPad2, iOS 9.3.1. I have authorized an update of iTunes in the last week or two, but I don't know which is linked. Current ITunes is 184.108.40.206, installed on a PC with Windows 10. The device icon does not appear in the menu bar iTunes header.
Restart both iPad and PC, without any help.
Uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes without help.
I would like suggestions. Thank you very much.
