ITunes hide my albums

First, Itunes will not be up-to-date in Windows 10 without going in circles. I usually just give up, uninstall and reinstall Itunes. This means that I have to download my entire library every time (which takes a few hours). Then the real fun begins. ITunes hide many of my albums. I don't hide them, Itunes does, and I have to go pick to the unhide them before they appear in my library once more. This is the third time I had to reinstall Itunes and show the same three albums. I tried to look online for solutions, but what I find is how to hide and show my music (including U2 albums that nobody wanted). In my case, I did not choose to hide anything. ITunes simply has it and it's always the same three albums. I have the I avoided Music and Cloud storage due to similar problems with my albums play do not at all unless my WiFi is turned on.

Does anyone know when Apple plans to fix Itunes, if it plays well with Windows 10? I hated to day to Windows 10, but much like Itunes, I'm sick and tired of the constant pop ups telling me that I had to update.

iTunes doesn't even have the ability to hide the titles, other than purchases on the iTunes Store. If you encounter problems with hidden titles, you use either an incorrect term, I misinterpreted, there is a problem with your system software, or you are (MIS) manage files manually, rather than let iTunes do it automatically.

  • 12.4.2.4 iTunes messes up Album and artists views

Since I installed version12.4.2.4, iTunes seems to mess up the metadata of my music files and/or albums not correctly appear in the views of artist and Album. In the last 24 hours I have torn/imported 2 albums.

The first album I tore guard split into 2 artists, both with exactly the same name than the other artist. Other tracks on the album are about an artist, and the rest of the tracks are on the other artist. To the track, I see that the tracks belong to an album, but for the Album I see 2 albums and to the artist, I see 2 artists.

The second album I ripped gets combined with another album - already - in the Album an artists views. Still, in the view of the track I can see the newly imported album clearly as a separate album, but two Album reviews and artist, I see it combined with another album as an album.

I checked so to double all the metadata for these tracks and that everything seems OK. How can I stop this wrong behavior?

You need to 'force' iTunes to re - write metadata.

Follow these instructions. Method #2 is probably the one you need.

  • Where is the iTunes 12.4 Album grid view?

I've just updated to iTunes 12.4.0.119 and I hate it already.

My music is now displayed in a massive list grouped by albums.  How to restore this to show in tile view grid which was in the previous version?  It has no view as an option grid around where I can see.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Displaying press Albums command J and a dialog box appears and the very high 'View As' selection allows you to choose the grid or list.

  • Why iTunes does not offer albums?

Try to buy several albums on iTunes, using a MacBook, OS X El Capitan.

The store offers by the price of the song, but not album. I tried several albums.

I have iTunes gift cards, but I need to tell people that it's a waste of money. I can buy the CD for $10, so I pay no more than $30 for a "partial album."

iTunes offer complete albums. The price of the Album should appear under the album art when you look at the details of the album and the song list.

Every song has an independent award.

  • iTunes displays wrong work when album field is empty

I use iTunes on Windows 120 12.4.1.6, but I had this problem for a while...

I have a lot of tracks where the album field is empty (for example, singles, mixes, radio shows) that have added work and work correctly shows when I go to the tab work on 'get info '.

However, when I choose to be considered the 'Playlist' or 'Albums' of the work that shows is often mistaken for tracks where the scope of the album is empty - it shows usually work by the same artist, but another track.   If I change the album field to give it the same name as the name of the song the work then is displayed correctly (and disappears when I empty the album field once again).

I don't want to put an album name in for all of these tracks (it makes no sense and would also blow a lot of smart playlists, I have) and I wouldn't need to do.  I tried to clear the cache of the work, but this does not solve the problem.

I looked on many forums, but can't see anyone else with this problem.  Is it me?  Anyone have an idea how I can fix this problem?

    Thank you

    Select this option.

Each track in iTunes is part of an album. If you leave the field empty album, then it becomes the unknown album. iTunes still unknown albums of groups of their artist or album artist if it is present. The correct treatment for a simple is to use the name of the single under the name of the album. If you have smart playlists that currently use the titles of the white album as a criterion for selection, you can change other values as group save say unique before you change the titles. See different KeywordsToField scripts to http://samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/scripts.asp for an easy way to quickly and systematically update the properties of the selected titles.

  • Update iTunes 12.0.4.119 does not sort by artist album?

With the last iTunes update, all my compilations are now classified under V (for various artists), even though at least half of them are not compilations of real and I prefer that they are filed with the main artist.  For example, the last album tribute to George Harrison (George Fest), I have the compilation box checked and individual artists listed for each track.  However, in the artist field album, I put "Harrison, George (Various Artists)" while the album is ranked immediately after my albums of George Harrison.  Now she is mixed with because v that the iTunes update eliminated the ability to sort by album artist.  I'm missing something here, or should I wait for the next update and hope they add this back in?

iTunes will sort albums separately if the indicator "the Album is a compilation...". "is checked.  Unless you use an iPod Classic or another older iDevice, you can clear this check box and simply use the Album artist tag as you describe.

  • iPhone delete all iTunes except album U2 free music!

I had an iPhone 6s for 3 months with no problems.  Last night I connected my iPhone to my iMac to load all night, like I always do.  In the morning, 99 + % of all my music on the iPhone has been deleted.  (It was still on my iMac, and I was able to restore everything, it took 8 hours to do, since there are about 90 GB of music).  With almost 10,000 songs in my music library (which were on the iPhone), the * only * DO NOT deleted songs were 10 titles I bought from iTunes, free U2 album that Apple offered increasingly (and why they are so *).  (I think the U2 album came pre-installed on the phone, if I remember, but I finally deleted it previously).

A friend suggested I look to see how the phone is synchronized to the iMac and, of course, the box that says "sync any iTunes library" was NOT checked.  (Of course, I had checked at the origin of this box, which is how I got my entire library to transfer in the first place.  "And I have ever returned to this screen since then.)  So, I checked this box once again and re-installed the entire library.

    So, a few questions:

    1. it happened to someone else?

    2. are these possible clues to anyone:

    a. only songs not deleted were those purchased through iTunes (Yes, only 10 of the 10,000).

    b. free U2 album mysteriously reappeared.

    c. Despite 'losing' nearly 90 GB of music from iPhone, the bar capacity (that thing at the bottom that shows how much storage is available on your iPhone, and how much is used by music, photos, etc.) remained unchanged.  In other words, even if there were now only 20 songs on the phone, he always says that the music was about 85 GB of space (and the phone had about 32 GB of free space, as he did before all the songs have disappeared).

All very strange to me.  Thanks to all those who might have some constructive thoughts on this.

    1. no doubt.  Not for me.

    2 - Yes.

For a and b - I do not think that these remaining songs were actually stored ON the iPhone at this time there.  They are your songs purchased (including the U2 album which is considered to be a purchase).  You probably saw them on the iPhone since Apple servers ("iCloud").  It's the same thing as being able to see purchased TV shows and movies (if you have) on your iPhone and play them in streaming from Apple servers.  That's why you have not seen these '10 in 10,000' songs, because they are items purchased, and you have the advantage of being able to listen to them without the files stored on your iPhone.

C - likely cause is corruption of data on the iPhone store.  For some reason, the song files have been is most recognized by as records of songs by the on-board iPhone software.  The songs you've seen (after the problem) were not saved on the iPhone; they have been seen since the Apple servers because they are purchased items.  You can do a restore on the iPhone via iTunes, in case there is still corruption of data.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod settings - Apple Support

After the restoration, use the latest iPhone backup you must leave before the problem.  Update the applications according to the needs.  Then, sync your music library.

  • Is there a quick way to numbers iTunes album titles?

I'm in a band and have simply copied a load of our demos to iTunes as an album, with works of art, etc..

Is there a quick way to request a track number to each song, so the album is in the right order?

Or do I have to do a "Get Info" for each song individually and painstakingly number each song as track 1 30 ', follow 2 of 30' and so on?

I know you can rearrange the songs in playlists easily enough, but I do like the album, with works of art, etc.

So far I found only the method of numbering individual "Get Info", that seems terribly lengthy for what should be a simple process!

  • How can I find the bio artist in iTunes 12.5?

I like to read about the artists that I love.

I'm able to easily find this information in Spotify, for example, but I can't find it in iTunes.

    Please notify

iTunes has really such a feature at the present time, there have been experiences in earlier versions. You can right-click on an artist or album, then go to > view in iTunes Store. Albums usually have comments and sometimes there will be a full biography of an artist or group.

  • Several Albums of photos iOS10

Let me correct my mistake of calling albums 'files' in my last post.  After the upgrade to iOS 10 and sync Mac Photos from my iPhone via iTunes, each photo album appears in Photos of Mac now stands as an album on my iPhone?  It's now navigate to photo albums on the iPhone a total mess, see how you cannot sort the albums alphabetically.

Example: Photo 'A' that I shot with my DSLR has been downloaded to Mac Photos and classified into 3 separate albums, X, Y and z. I now sync to my iPhone via iTunes and select this option for a sync album X only.  With the previous iOS on iPhone (iOS9) only this single album would appear in the Photos app after synchronization.  With iOS10 all three albums, X, Y and Z, now appear on my iPhone.  I have dozens of Mac photo albums and I synchronize only a particular albums.   But now if I just sync album X (contains photo 'A') each album containing the photo 'A' (albums X, Y and Z) appear also as albums on my iPhone.  Why?  Now I have dozens of unwanted albums listed in my Photos app.  This also gives the navigation to a photo to download on difficult Instagram.  Try to find an album named 'X' in a list unsorted 200 + albums.

Please fix this problem and come back to use and while your, how about you let me sort my albums alphabetically on the iPhone app Photos.

  • Why iTunes 12.5.1.21 look so dull?

When you clicked on a cover of the album in earlier versions of iTunes, you have a pretty colorful list corresponding to the cover of the album (which is optional). The album covers had more size options, so people feel exactly crowded. With this new version, it seems dull and crammed together! I just can't stand the way the new iTunes looks! Albums are similar apps, the thing is simply too cartoonish. The lists of colors was nice because it helped me to color code which album I'm listening. NOW, I HAVE BARELY ANY CLUE EXCEPT THE ALBUM COVER!

  • Put iTunes on Macbook Pro external drive

I have a new Macbook Pro running OS X El Capitan. With my older iMac, I wanted to save space so I consolidated my iTunes library and put all my music on my external hard drive and then deleted all my music off my old iMac. I did the same thing with my photos. With the new Macbook, I ran some more of my music on the external hard drive, but now I want to recover my external hard drive so you can use it for Time Machine and put all my music on the Macbook, since it has a bigger HD and I'm more worried about space. I also noticed on the Macbook, in the iTunes folder, there are now "iTunes Media" and that "automatically add to iTunes". I understand that Apple has changed the iTunes Music iTunes Media folder but I am unsure of the other folder. On my external hard drive, I have a 'Music' folder and inside that I have: of Garage Band, iTunes album art file folder, album art iTunes, Bigasoft Flac Converter folder. In the iTunes folder: folder of iTunes Library.itl Album artwork file, iTunes Music Library.xml file Genius.itdb from the iTunes library, previous record of libraries iTunes, Mobile Applications folder, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, Temp File.tmp file, iTunes Library.xml and iTunes folder Music, which has all my music files. I didn't know if I should just replace the music folder on my Macbook with the music folder from my drive external hard because some of the files as "iTunes Media" and "Automatically add to iTunes" would probably disappear. I hope I'm not too hike and it makes sense. I tried to consolidate my music but I don't know if that did anything. Thanks for any help.
