  • 12 iTunes does not start automatically when I connect iPhone 6s

I have a desktop Windows 10 new and I connect my 6s iPhone more synchronization with Outlook, every day.  When I connect my iPhone, iTunes not open automatically as it has always done in later versions.  If I manually open iTunes, then the iPhone syncs fine, but I would like to do this annoying extra step every day.

I have read several posts on this topic and here is what I tried:

    -J' I uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes

-J' checked I have the vs 12.4.3.1 of Windows and iTunes updates

-I went to Device Manager > Apple Mobile Device Driver > pointed to: \Program Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers updated and referred 'the driver is up-to-date.

-In iTunes > edit > Preferences > devices > prevent iPhone sync automatically is not checked

-In iTunes > my iPhone > summary, is checked automatically sync when this iPhone is connected.  I also tried unchecking it, apply, close/reopen iTunes and then check again with the same result.

-J' have tried using a different USB port

In addition to this, when I connect my iPhone to a different USB port, Windows gives a saying "Select to choose what happens with this device.  When I click on it, Windows provides about 5 options on how to import the device or to open an application when the device is connected, but iTunes is not in the list of apps to select from.  In addition, in older versions of Windows, there is a link to select a different program from your pc to use if it wasn't in the shortlist and this link/option is no longer there it that it seems impossible to select iTunes opens automatically when the iPhone is connected.

FYI, I had exactly the same problem on my old pc once it has been upgraded to Windows 10.

Does anyone know how get iTunes opens automatically when I connect my iPhone?

I suspect that you need to tell Windows not to do anything, make sure that the iTunes Helper application is configured to run on start-up (activation/deactivation of the next triggering and to solve this problem) and in iTunes, select the device and choose the option to run iTunes when the device is connected.

    Hey wlubarsky,

If your iTunes application cannot start, please try upgrading your Windows operating system. You can review the below iTunes system requirements

    Software:
    Windows 7 or later
64-bit of Windows 7 and Windows 8 require the iTunes 64-bit Installer. For more information, visit www.itunes.com/download
400 MB of available disk space
Screen reader support requires Window-Eyes 7.2 or later version; For more information about accessibility in iTunes, visit www.apple.com/accessibility
iTunes is now a 64-bit application on 64 bit versions of Windows 8 and 7. Some third-party viewers may no longer be compatible with this version of iTunes. Please contact the developer for a viewer compatible with iTunes update 12.1 or later

Once you get your Windows operating system updated, iTunes will work as it should.

  • iTunes does not start after upgrading to version 12.1.3.6

Help! I use widows 10, 64-bit, and my itunes will start after you updated to version 12.1.3.6. Error message: iTunes did not work corectly due to a problem.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. (Yes, I see that you've done that but maybe not the specific deletions which are mentioned).

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

  • After update on Win 10 mashine and rebooting, iTunes does not start. The clues why?

Clean install, via the Apple update, on 10 to win and host reboot, iTunes does not start. Don't hit anything, have not changed anything. Win 10 Pro updated to the last update. 16 GB OF RAM. Someone has an idea? That would be bad to reinstall because I had a lot of songs associated with him, not to mention the telephone contacts... Appreciate any advice.

RESOLVED: I restarted computer again, and that solved a problem. It seems that the first reboot has not played. Thanks anyway.

iTunes does not start. I reinstalled it - but the problem exists. How can I remove iTunes completely to install from scratch?

Tell us in detail what you do and what you watch.

Removal of iTunes requires special orders.  It would be best to see if you are missing something simple first, as the link in the Dock doesn't work does not, but clicking on the application icon in the applications folder.

  • file mflmsv.dll (Rundll) could not start and unable to use iTunes.

    Original title: mflmsv.dll (Rundll) file

When I connect it says that runndll could not start. In my view, it is up to my itunes.  When I went to a ph of windows, I downloaded zune.  I always have my iPod and an iphone and I can't seem to get my itunes to work

    Hello

    Please provide the following details.

    1. You get this error when you turn on your computer?
    2. What is the exact full error message?
    3. What happens when you turn on iTunes on your computer? It gives you an error message when it does not work?

RunDLL is a legitimate Windows file that runs / loads .dll (Dynamic Link Library) modules, which can also be legitimate or sometimes malicious associated. RunDLL could not start message occurs generally when the .dll file that is configured to run at startup in the registry or as a scheduled task has been deleted. Windows attempts to load this file (s) but cannot locate because the file was most likely removed during an anti-virus or anti-malware analysis.

I suggest to download AutoRuns and save it to your desktop. You can download it from the link below.

    Autoruns for Windows v11.70

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902

    1. Create a new folder on your hard drive called AutoRuns (C:\AutoRuns) and extract (unzip) the file there.
    2. Open the folder and double-click on autoruns.exe to run. Right-click and select run as administrator.
    3. Please be patient as it scans and fills the entries.
    4. When you are finished scanning, it will say loan to the downstairs and the list of all entries on the all tab.
    5. In the main menu, click file > find and type the name of the file (backgroundcontainer.dll) related to the error message, and then click Next.
    6. Alternatively, you can scroll through the list and find any writing about backgroundcontainer.dll and them.
    7. If found, right click on the entry, then select Remove.
    8. Out Autoruns and restart your computer when it is done.

If you can't get the iMac began and ongoing implementation, you will not be able to use the target disk Mode:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201462

Then the option is to take the iMac HARD drive, install it in an enclosed, and connect the HARD drive to the MBA via the USB port.  If the HARD drive is recognized, you can copy the data out of it.
