iOS9 on a mobile device requires iTunes 12.3 or higher, which in turn requires a computer running OSX 10.8.5 or higher.  Update of the system only checks the updates for the current version of the system you run, but that itself can be updated.  It may or may not be possible to upgrade your computer to the system requirements. Find your computer on the web site of http://www.everymac.com model and near the bottom of the specification of the system section, he will tell what versions of the operating system, it is able to run. If you can not run a newer system, you will not be able to sync this phone to your current computer. If she can run 10.8.5 or higher, you can either buy a download for Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion code online, or you can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM.  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.

  • Firefox for Mac does not recognize a valid SSL certificate

Firefox for Mac does not recognize the SSL certificate that is valid for this site, I got: https://www.georgeglazer.com. It gives a warning "not reliable." However, the Firefox for Windows does not give a warning. This happens even if I clear the cache and it happens in the Mavericks and OS of Yosemite. The certificate is up-to-date and with Comodo. Firefox for Mac is now the only browser producing these errors (v. 39, put updated) - Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome are not. Our hosting provider has said it's probably a browser issue, perhaps having to do with intermediate certificates in Firefox being obsolete. I really hope you'll solve the problem, as it's annoying for us when we're going to do right by our customers and pay for the SSL certificate. I have attached a picture of the warning and the other from what you see on a PC: a pop-up that says it is a verified SSL certificate and gives details about the issuer, the period of validity, etc.

COMODO should you sent a link to download the file 'bundle' containing the intermediate certificates. Who needs to go in the same directory as the certificate of your site. If you are using a control panel, your host can probably help with this process. And if you bought through them, shame on them for not taking care of this for you already!

  • My Mac does not recognize my PSC 1610 all-in-one printer.

All of a sudden my mac does not recognize my 1610 printer all-in-one.  I think it may have something to do with the system 10.8.2 upgrade but I'm not sure.  I followed the instructions and uninstalled and reinstalled the software.  Software update does not seem to think that miss me anything, no update is listed.  Nothing has changed other that the OS and I use this computer and the printer for 3 years.  No printer appears in the list of system preferences.  Error when I try to print is 'not connected printer.

    Hi beaumast,

Have you tried using a USB cable?

If you tried it on your friends computer and got the same experience there is a possibility that the USB port on the printer has malfunctioned. Here are some links that you may find interesting if you consider upgrading your printer.

  • Windows does not recognize iPhone/iPod devices

I tried to add music to a new iTunes library to my iPhone on my pc when I accidentally pressed the notification "do not trust this computer."

I tried following the advice in this thread (removed the pilot): I accidentally hit "Do not trust" and now my iPhone won't sync to my computer. It won't ask me to trust him again even when I restart everything. Now what?

And now my computer does not recognize my iPod or my iPhone when I plug it into the USB ports. They don't even charge. I know with certainty that the problem comes from my pc because when I plugged them both in another pc, Lesmanteaux both able to connect to the computer/iTunes. I tried restarting both devices, tried resetting the location and privacy, by restarting the computer, even performed a system recovery.

When I go to "Devices and printers", the two devices are listed under Unspecified, Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, unknown category, troubleshooting needs (I tried that as well, when I do that it is said that all driver software is up-to-date)

Driver status: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

All my software is up to date (iPhone, iPod Nano, Itunes 12.1. (2. 27 64-bit)

Please help me, I've got a flight tomorrow and all I wanted was to upload music.

Have you tried using different USB ports? Try and see if it triggers the question "confidence." You can also give your iPod a restart is forced. Press the sleep and home for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver Apple, let go and let it reboot, then try again.

If this does not work you can try something a bit more drastic. That's a lot of time, but not horrible. I had to do a few times with my devices and my computer.

Try this, go to your control panel, add/remove programs.

Remove iTunes (you won't lose any content not the program, I've done a few times), Mobile Apple, Apple Application Support device driver.

For good measure, you can restart your computer just to remove the cobwebs.

Then come out and redownload iTunes and reinstall it.

Plug your iPod in and drivers must be reinstalled.

All of your old info should be there. I've never lost anything. Essentially to remove iTunes and drivers have to reinstall fees, which can remove the obstacle 'I don't trust you. "

  • Why my mac does not recognize my hard drive or SD cards?

I got a new Macbook Air last month. Since I had so much problems with it - mostly because if you plug in anything whatever in the SD card slot or USB drives, it does not recognize them. I own a mac before, as well as PC laptop dell, so I am aware of the problems when formatting the discs everywhere, but even when I plugged a new passport hard drive, the computer couldn't find. Similarly, you may not find all the SD cards when I tried to use the SD card.

What is going with this? I am a photographer living, so I need constant access to these two. This new model has some new method for transfer of files from the external hard drive etc.?

Close, then connect the mac to a power adapter, disconnect all external devices.

    reset the SMC

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

reset all external then pulls even deleted

Once you open a session reconnect the external hard drive

If the drive is connected with a hub of party 3rd do not use it and connect the drive directly to the mac

Connect the external hard drive and open Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility disk utility

The drive appears in the list of external devices?

  • Do not install the device driver for iPhone on Windows 7, computer does not recognize iPhone is plugged

I have Windows 7 and all of a sudden my iPhone 3 G will not sync with my laptop.  The computer has stopped recognizing the phone being connected at all, and yet he is recognized in iTunes.  When I plug in the phone it gives me the message... device driver failed to install.  I know it of a compatibility problem and have searched through the forums and was on the phone with the support of Apple for FOUR hours and nothing has worked.  They even sent a new phone, and it still does not work.  HOW can I find the driver that needs to be updated?  I checked in the device under the universal Bus Port Manager and it indicates that the Apple driver is up-to-date.  He sometimes let me to sync my contacts and calendar errors... but without music, photos, ringtones, etc.  Help, please... I lost tons of time on it!

    Hi regsiler,

I suggest to open the Device Manager and in the view tab, click Show devices. Remove all instances of the device, and then restart.

The phone begins to change when it is connected to the computer?

  • Windows 7 does not recognize iPhone

    Hello

I have a new laptop running Windows 7 64 bit.  After I installed iTunes, when I plug my first gen iPhone, it triggers iTunes to open, but causes iTunes to freeze immediately.   If I open iTunes and then connect the iPhone, same thing - iTunes always crashes.  When I unplug the iPhone, iTunes thaws.  In addition, iTunes works great with my iPod.

I have already done some troubleshooting, the following recommendations are on this site and on the Apple site, including suggestions found here:

    :80/forums/en-US/w7hardware/thread/31631537-67ab-468B-810B-e083d9d726aa http://social.answers.Microsoft.com

Specifically, I reinstalled iTunes and Apple software, deleted all the pictures of the iPhone so my laptop would not recognize it as a camera, and made sure that the computer is using the correct device driver Apple.  Nothing has worked.

Also for the record, when I plug the phone without iTunes installed and are looking for the phone on Device Manager, it appears as 'Apple iPhone' under 'portable '.  Once I installed iTunes and the driver appropriate device, however, it stands as "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" under "USB controllers" section.  Nothing shows up under "Portable devices", "Imaging devices", or any other position.

I have now spent hours trying to solve this problem.  Any advice?

    Hi melissah99,

In searching around this question, there are a few other things to try.

It could be that the support of mobile devices is missing from your machine.  Please see the article on how to solve this problem to Apple:

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/TS1567

Another thing, it might be, is that you need to update your .NET frameworks:

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/TS3074

    I hope this helps!

  • Mac does not recognize Ethernet after failure

We had a brief power failure this weekend and a couple of my Macs a brand-new Macbook Pro 15 "and iMac 21.5" end 2013 do not recognize Ethernet. tried several possible fixes I found online remove various preferences and other files that nothing worked.  I tried to remove the Ethernet interface to see that when I wanted to add once again it was no longer available in the interface of the menu drop-down.  I rebooted, zapped the PRAM and removed from many many files of network preferences, but nothing could him recognized through the thunderbolt adapter Ethernet of Ethernet

At this point, I gave a little and save all the information of the user, a re-installed the operating system on the existing system using the network of restoration (R command).

Everyone has had this problem before?  Is there an easy fix?

    Reset the SMC

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

The failure could have messed with the SMC on the computer, which essentially controls how the power is sent to the device.

Also, have you tried to connect the devices with a new Ethernet cable? The cables themselves could have been damaged, or even of your router.

Best way to test is to take one of your devices to somewhere with an Ethernet cable to test Ethernet computer port. This could be done in an Apple store if you are near one. Would help to determine if there is a problem with the computer or the router/modem or cable.
