iTunes request seeking permission on old CD music

Recently, iTunes tells me I need to connect to two old accounts to 'Allow' the music I know, I had on CD - I loaded the music into my computer via CD, I bought about 10 years ago! I loaded the in my computer at least 8 years, so what gives? These songs never had an account iTunes that are associated with them.

He asked me to put the password for two former accounts, that neither of which I had for years (as at less than 7 years) and these songs have played before.
Why do the security both to play something that I've never bought from iTunes in the first place and how I get it to stop asking for old accounts?

I tried to connect with security issues and they said that I had a wrong even though I know it was the right answer, and finally he said "try again later".

Help!

Thank you

  • iTunes can't locate some of my music files. Places seems to be the same however. Help?

My old motherboard itself killed a few weeks ago and I finally had time to take out the hard drive and transfer all my files over to my new laptop. The old and the new have been / are running the same version of Windows 10.

I met a strange problem with iTunes (version 12.4.3) locate all my music files now. When I transferred the old files to the new computer, I did it without changing anything. All iTunes folders and subfolders are together just as they were before and so are my music from Amazon and other music files (some from other music sites, more old torn records). Nothing has changed on the level where it was stored, or how files or albums have been appointed, only the computers themselves. I literally just plugged the old hard drive, dragged all the subfolders in my music in the main folder of music on the old pC to the new folder of music from PCs and went on my way. I'm looking for the files on the old HARD drive and comparing them to the new computer and all are exactly the same.

iTunes was no a problem of localization of music and videos in the folder iTunes at all, but it seems to refuse locate others, at least automatically. He finds some of the things Amazon, but not all, and it goes the same for ripped files. It seems to be forcing me to go through and individually, select it "!" marked songs/videos to find them manually on my computer. When I select the option automatically search and find other missing files, it tells me that iTunes could not locate the other missing files in 2000. This happens even with full albums that are located in the same folder. For example, I have a Florence + the Machine album, I bought from Amazon and all songs have been marked as being absent, so I found one of the songs manually in the album folder on my PC where are all the other songs on the album, but iTunes could not find the other songs on this album, even on its own. Normally this wouldn't be a problem and I'd go just to do one by one, but for 2000 files, it's a big enough problem. I'll be sitting here all night or add more just each individual file, even if many are together.

I'm not sure what is the problem, but I'd like an overview of how I could speed up the process from here. I pourrait delete all photos of does to and re-add-the, but that represents only ~ 500 files, the majority is the singular songs and because I can't seem to sort my files missing library I always face the boredom.

The problem of 'missing file' with exclamation points occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl-I to get information, then click on no when asked to try to locate the runway. Look under the file tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music folder in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, or during playback of a track, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. Then, it can offer try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find titles in the same provision, artist / album, they were previously, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files, or the library was moved from OS X to Windows, then chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies it will be difficult to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is pregnant. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works. It may need some adjustments if your media is in a non-standard layout.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media under Edition folder > Preferences > advanced
    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location that begins file://localhost/
    3. The real path to the file which you gave 2 details

  • what media (zune, windows media player or itunes) Player is easier to move the music from?

Well, I'll get an Ipod for myself and give my dad my old Zune.  It also has an mp3 player that works with Windows Media Player.

I'm not talking to music that is bought from Itunes or Microsoft.  I'm talking about music that was taken from the CDs.

Before you start to tear up, I would like to know what software makes it easier to move or copy music to others or if it will be difficult no matter what happens.

Thanks and sorry if this post makes no sense complete, I was in a hurry.

It is usually unnecessary to transfer or copy anything when you use several media players. If you stick to MP3 format and point all media on the same folder of music players (in most cases, this will be your personal music folder), then the media player should automatically pick each other ripped songs. • Cancel the iTunes game that changed versions of my music to different

I downloaded a lot of music from a CD over the years and then added to my iTunes library on my phone. I recently got a new phone and used the cloud as my backup. Now, a lot of songs are different versions than the original that I downloaded and I don't want any. Can I delete iTunes match to recover the originals? I had not never asked the iTunes service game in the first place and I hate that they change just the album covers, titles, and even the song itself!

    Greetings maddiejoanna,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support and congratulations on your new iPhone! It's very exciting to get a new iPhone.

I see that you have downloaded music from a CD to your iTunes over the years, and after you have restored your iPhone, a lot of songs are different versions than the original. You want to disable iTunes game (or, possibly, iCloud music library as they provide similar functionality) and recover the original songs. I understand perfectly. I want to help you find your original songs.

You will need to disable iTunes game, iCloud music library or if necessary both in iTunes and on your iPhone. The following articles will help you locate the music library iTunes game and iCloud on each device. Just make sure that you disable each:

Use iTunes on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch game

Use your subscription to Apple's music to get your music on all your devices

In addition, if you prefer not to use these services, you can use the following page to check that the necessary subscriptions were cancelled:

  • Unable to transfer the iTunes of the MacBook Air for iPhone music SE

    Hello.

I have recently (April 2016) bought an iPhone SE. At the time, I used iCloud to back up what I had on my iPhone 4S for I can have my music, etc., photos on my new SE. However, since my 4S lacked storage space, a lot of my music was not stored on it, so he has not also transferred to my new SE.

Now I have plugged my SE (iOS 9.3.3) in my MacBook (OS X 10.7.5) and iTunes (v 12.2.2.25) does not recognize my iPhone. I can't add another my music from my iPhone iTunes SE and it is super hang me!

When I plug my phone into my MacBook and open iTunes (I already said "Approve this computer" on the phone), I get this message: "the iPhone"iPhone"cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes. " Goaaaaal... you don't go to itunes.com and download to iPhone... So I'm stuck with a tiny part of my music on my iPhone and no way I can find to get more to transfer.

    Help, please! Thank you!

    Lucy

The message refers to requiring a version update of iTunes on your computer, not on the phone - you need to an updated version of Mac OS X on your Mac (10.8.5 +) and iTunes installed 12.4 above, to be able to sync it to your phone.

  • iTunes game but no connection to the music in the cloud?

I use iTunes game and I started iTunes (12.4.0.119) on my MBP (mid-2010) today to listen to the music (I usually use the iPhone 6). But I can't because all the songs have an exclamation mark next to them and are not on the computer. They never had because they were all in the cloud. And they are still available on iPhone and iPad (1st gen mini).

I connected and iTunes and even checked the State of the game to iTunes subscription. Everything looks good (subscription will be automatically renewed in December 2016) but there is no menu item to check the iTunes connection game, and obviously, it is not available on the MBP, it was before. The column with the symbol of the cloud is also empty.

How can I (re-) establish the connection of media game Cloud library iTunes?

    Hello

How do you remove the tracks and it seems that iTunes is trying to locate them? Where you previously to play music from iTunes game? Also check the preferences to ensure that library music icloud is always checked.

    Hello

ITunes game uses no storage iCloud. He needs analyzing your music on your computer in order to determine what can be mapped and must be downloaded. Once the music in the cloud, you need to turn on icloud music library on your iOS devices.

Use iTunes game on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

  • Essential concepts for an 8 year old budding music producer :)

    Hi all

I'll take my 8 year old daughter away for a stay of 6 weeks. She sings. I mean she sings throughout the day. Literally never tired of singing... She's still playing the piano but Im thinking this will be a good time to start.

I want to introduce to Logic pro. The goal is to let her loose with my macbook, logic pro and let her find a way of composing her own songs. IM thinking essentials that I need to pack in my suitcase is as follows:

    1 Macbook with logic installed

    2. Midi keyboard - think a unit Audio M - don't know whether to go 25, 32 or 49 keys

3 microphone/voice recorder - or not (do not know how well the mac built in microphone works for her)

    4. decent pair of headphones

Any suggestions for the 2 points. 3. & 4. would be welcome.

Also, and perhaps more importantly, suggestions on how to introduce the world of music production. Are there notable tutorials out there that would be appropriate for children?

    Your comments are greatly appreciated.

    See you soon

My only suggestion is, if you really want to teach him how to play the piano, (which is a great idea) get a keyboard 49 keys minimum. In addition, as a music teacher... don't forget that a "keyboard" is far from playing a real piano. However, we can learn the basics of the music on it and use it with computers. Eight-year-old is the ideal time to start, if you think it's promising, get his first lessons of piano and learned to read, play/composing by ear is wonderful, but learn to read music opens worlds of music.  I served as a teacher of jazz guitar at the University here and teach music theory API.

(My opinion) The most important thing for a young musician (if she is going to be just a hobby or more) is to learn the rudiments of music because of this point, you can go anywhere. (Lady Gaga is a classically trained pianist)

If you have installed GarageBand, I would start there, (it is built on a subset of logic and all the basics are here) that's a lot for a child of eight years to work with, it allows to display in musical notation (played with the keyboard) MIDI tracks, but also the standard format "piano roll".
