ITunes track

I have a WRT55ag router.  A computer is hard wired to the router.  A second using a wireless connection.  When I insert tracks into Itunes on my wired computer finds it the details of the track on the Internet.  When I load titles on my computer wireless Itunes can't find the details of the track, but doesn't give any error message.  Is there some settings that I have to apply on the side of the router wireless? Thanks, Mike

The problem was that I had set up an Internet access policy.  Once I turned off politics both Itunes and Google Earth started working.  I still don't know why Itunes has worked on my wired computer or what politics was doing that stopped working applications...  Thanks for your suggestions, Mike

  • ICloud for Apple music activation will damage my iTunes library?

I agree with Apple's music and I understand that if I want to add pieces of Apple's music in my iTunes library I must activate iCloud. I have so far resisted doing this since all reports of permanent damage to your library master iTunes at the time where Apple music was introduced. It means your iTunes library will be scanned and anything in the catalog of music Apple is copied in your iCloud, but at a lower speed to ICloud. Music you have (I have 1700 titles of a CD, I added that I bought) is not in the catalog will be copied in iCloud, but at a lower rate. But I was warned of the following problems. Does anyone know if all those who have been set? Of course, I keep a backup of everything on my Mac, but I'm afraid of damaging my iTunes library. I've read about problems are:

    1. DRM is added to the music you own and copied to your iTunes library.
    2. Music you have will be converted at any bit rate and a different format (I use MP3) and copied in your library.
    3. Many only find albums that they have got iTunes tracks scrambled, metadata for artist names and track names got scrambled, and playlists got out of order.
    4. Album cover and the track got corrupted and replaced with incorrect art.

I know things are not supposed to be true based on the Apple FAQ, but they occurred when music Apple and iOS 9 first came out. These questions definitely resolved?

    1. no DRM will not be added to your own music and copied into your iTunes Library UNLESS you decide to delete your original files and then re - upload to your computer's iTunes library. Or if you have set up a second computer share the same Apple ID and download the tracks to this second computer.

2 not - yet as answer #1 - if you delete your original files and then re-download. You will receive versions Apple music that - according to what bitrate you torn initially to-may or may not be a lower data rate.

    3. Yes, it happens. But most often it happens when you try to listen to music on other computers or devices. There was reports of these types of problems in their library (the one people used as source to configure BCTI) original iTunes and that's why it makes sense to have a backup of your original files. But, that being said, I've been using AM / BCTI since it began and I saw only occasional and minor problems with my metadata on my original library. However, I've seen a lot of questions on the iPhone and iPad that share my ID Apple and iCloud music library - mainly the wrong version of a song being substituted for the one I have in my library (the original) iMac iTunes.

    4 Yes - See answer #3.

Yet once again, most of these problems happen either (1) on the secondary devices you use with your music library to iCloud or (2) when people decided - usually to save hard drive space - to remove their original files and then replace with others of their MEMBER.

  • 12.3.1.23 iTunes won't download album despite the correct metadata artwork

For some albums, iTunes 12.3.1.23 will not download album despite the correct metadata artwork.

It will download other graphic works (sometimes even when metadata is not correctly match).

Is it possible to determine the metadata that should be used to force iTunes to actually download the art for a specific album of the store?

Or is it possible to download the work of the store to an album without metadata change?

If iTunes works the same as it has for a while, I don't want to download the work manually and then manually associate the iTunes tracks, because that adds a copy of the work of each of the files.  (if iTunes has been changed to not insert a copy of the work in all track files when you manually add work instead of download from the store in iTunes, please let me know)

It seems to be a problem in the interaction between iTunes and the store which results in the failure to return the work even when metadata are matched.  Drawn from here and elsewhere, it started with the release of iTunes 12.2 and the launch of Apple's music and many receive some press releases, pending a fix (which could be an iTunes update or correction for the operation of the store), there is no alternative other than the addition of work from other sources.

  • I have a question...

Have a 4th Gen iPod Shuffle, c. 2012. Have already created a playlist (let's call it A Playlist) and have tried to create a second playlist, separated (Playlist (B). Have iTunes on my Dell laptop and it used to burn audio CDs (1) and (2) create playlists for use on my iPod.

Problem: When I add new items to my iPod (Playlist (B), the songs in this playlist are reproduced on the A. Playlist already existing when I try to remove duplicates from A Playlist, they are also removed from Playlist B.

Is there a way to stop the addition of these new elements of Playlist? Otherwise, is there a way to remove duplicates from A Playlist without removing the b Playlist? (Having all these replicas is a real space-waster.)

    Thank you!

I'm not really sure I understand what you're doing, but in the same iTunes track can appear in several playlists without be duplicated in the physical memory on your computer or your device.

  • Compression characteristic of music gone?

    Hello

As with many things in the new version of iTunes, changed the way to get information. For example, when you insert a cd, the upper right corner shows CD Info, CD Import, a new icon that looks like a gear wheel! and the eject button. Click the gear and it shows get track names etc.

If you have already imported the CD, you can retrieve the info by clicking on file > library > get the track names.

  • How can I move the iTunes file that keeps track of plays on a new hard drive

I added an SSD for my MacBookPro and use it as a boot drive. I finally understood how to get the entire library of music to play without moving all the music for the SSD (not enough of space for everything), but I have lost all my game account.

There must be a file that lists all these information. Where could I find it? I tried to export the library but the iTunes on the new disc he did not recognize.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    10.11.6, iTunes 12.3.4.1

The file is the iTunes Library.itl file. This file guard track of everything in iTunes. And I mean everything. What kind of music you have, what has been deleted, playlists, play counts, ratings, date added, files, but a group which is not a lot of information duplicated in the tags attached to the media.

It is quite difficult to judge where exactly you are in this process because you don't have not said us what you did exactly. It's easy to make a mess of a library in doing things without knowing exactly how iTunes really works rather than how we think it works. You can try to copy this file .itl on the original to the new one and maybe drive he always knows that the media files are the original disk, but I'm not positive.

Just to let you know, using a library distributed in this way can lead to complications on the road and requires that begin you now learn the details of the operation of iTunes if you can avoid the problems.

On the iTunes library files - https://support.apple.com/HT201610 - does not mention that a complete library of work also includes other files and also files in the iTunes folder.

  • Library ITunes-how to identify the original track

I've searched the forums looking for an answer to this and it seems to be the same issue that dates back to 2007, so I guess the first question would be why Apple has not done something, rather than causing me problems whenever they release an update iOS

OK - rant over! Now, I know there's the possibility of using the "remove duplicates" in the menu, but I had this problem for a while, and when I tried to remove the titles before, I got a warning message telling me that I was going to delete the original - so, how do I find which of the indicated path is the original?

Now, I have six or seven copies of each track and suspect that this happened since a previous update changed my settings and deleted something that stopped the tracks are copied back to the devices in iTunes.

Has anyone found a way to identify the original track so that I can remove all duplicates?

    Thank you very much.

  • iTunes 12.4.1 - footer missing with number of tracks and time

The footer in iTunes bar seems to have been deleted on the recent update, which showed the total "number of tracks", "total playing time" etc... -I know that you can still see it in 'playlists' at the top, but the selection of albums or songs in an overview it has completely disappeared.  It was particularly useful to know how many titles you have selected when editing and also keep an eye on the guarantee of the computer, you or an Apple had not deleted or replaced securities.  Anyone knows if it's hidden in a menu somewhere or is it a ploy from Apple to make it less obvious if they were deleted, substituted or added to your library?

  • iTunes does not play albums in order of track and jumps around the tracks. How to restore order in the right way?

Recently iTunes won't play the album titles in the proper order. When I click on an album tracks are listed in the proper order, but when I play the album iTunes jumps all about order.

It's obvious, but please confirm that you have not selected shuffle option. Just turn it ON and STOP could also help.

  • Music tracks/songs appear on iTunes, but will play not (iPhone)

Here's my problem: occasionally, the songs on my iPhone 5s appear (as they should) but will not play.

For example, I recently bought the new album AWOLNATION.  For a few weeks, the album would end - play until recently when do not play 2 tracks (while still appearing on my iPhone in iTunes).  You click on the song, and then it passes just to the next song.  Because the tracks appear, but just will not play - I'm not sure that they are "removed", but for some reason just iTunes will not play them.  Whenever I have "Difficulty", a song, another song ends by does not.  One thing to note, playing the same song on my iTunes on my PC (where I sync my music of), they work very well - which tells me he is not a corrupt file, just something to do with the iPhone iTunes.

Another iPhone user has experienced a similar problem here 3 years ago! : some of my songs will not play! (but provided resolutions provide no durable solutions).  For me, it's a relatively recent problem - probably began a few months ago (at least that I noticed).

    Facts:

-It does not appear to matter what format the song is - lately I've noticed with the securities purchased, but it's just because I didn't buy many CDs lately.

-My iPhone, iTunes and my PC iTunes are perfectly up-to-date.

-My iTunes library on my phone has more than 4000 titles (combination of purchased and ripped from my CDs)

    What I tried:

-Removal of the track, the phone is off and re - download solves the problem for this piece. However, the question continues to be repeated with different tracks.

-Synchronize the phone with no music (to remove them all) and re-sync them all back on.  (After having done that, I found many more tracks that appeared, but would not play.)  Moreover, even if it were the solution - I would be quite disappointed spending 3 + hours a week or so just re - sync my music!)

-Syncing the phone (there is nothing in itself - iTunes I guess see no problem with missing titles, so does not re - add the).

Thanks in advance for any advice or comments on the issue.

If no solution can be found, does anyone know how to make iTunes music on a non-Apple product? (My contract is next week, and I'm willing to change if need be - music on my cell phone is much more important than the brand loyalty).

Quick update: I can now confirm that this issue effects purchased iTunes music and ripped from CDs.  I use iTunes to rip music.

Thanks again for anyone with suggestions on how to solve this problem!
